Stellantis makes profit even on EV cars, that’s why the price seems high. They still sell enough of EVs they need but make greater profit on the combustion engine versions. Very smart people! The products are also good.👍🏻
Real shame they did not tried their best on this one. I wanted to buy this car due to looks(it's beautiful imo), but with that price and all the compromises an MG4 is a better choice or even a Tesla. I think this car is meant to be a compliance car to lower their emision points. They really intend to sell their gas cars .
@@TotallyEV Not you, Peugeot have created their own advert for Tesla! 🙂 I can't see any compelling reason to choose a car that's slower, slower to charge, less equipped, less range, doesn't have access to the entire best and cheapest public charger network, has even less room, isn't designed as an EV, doesn't have as much space and on top of all this, is more expensive. I must be missing something? 🤷♂️
Typical stellantis group , you start off with one price , by the time you had the extras you want ( where other manufacturers give you as standard) , seriously not even a wireless charger , electric front both seats with lumber , and a rubbish range , wouldn't touch it with a barge poll lol 😂
You have to remember, not everyone can afford to insure these high powered EVs with crazy 0-60s. For me, I've got one of these cars on order because it ticked all my boxes for comfort and as a 20 year old I can insure it no problem. Tesla M3 RWD was £7500 a year for me to insure where as this is £1300, these super powerful EVs are not practical for everyone.
@@TotallyEV Bit of an update, had the car for around 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it. Averaging around 225 miles on a full charge and the speed is definitely more than enough for your typical drivers.
one look at those big chromed fake exhausts and I'm off even before getting to the lack of towing or the price Do they really believe that people will buy an EV looking like a complete fool like that? that's just too daft Peugeot

Same as model 3 price, nuts!
All Stellantis EV's are a total rip off and underdeliver on the range. The price of this is totally ridiculous.
Can't say that all of them are actually. For example, the e-C4 and e-C4X are excellent.
Interesting way of creating an advert for Tesla.
Interesting that the Tesla is the one that you think we'd recommend.

@djtaylorutube haha, fair enough!
It’s just a real shame. For looks I was totally shortlisting the e308. But due to battery size , engine power and price there are just better choices

I just don't understand how such a well established manufacturer could even consider launching this car with this price tag. It borders on stupidity.
Starts at 40k for a car that is a slow as a slug!!

@DanOwensDev that's a crazy difference in insurance costs, wow!

Pretty much because this is based on the petrol 308!
