SW Motech Micro Pro install (correct way) - KTM 790 Adventure (ASMR)

- I've been looking recently for a small tank bag to have quick access to some bits of kit & equipment when on the road. The SW Motech Micro Pro was one of the first ones I looked at but I quickly discounted it when the install videos I watched showed it could only be mounted in reverse on the KTM (due to the petrol cap opening away from the rider) but after a bit of digging, it looks like SW Motech revised the design and its now possible to mount it in the correct orientation.
Pulled the trigger on the Mirco Pro and (required) Pro Tank Ring. At 3 litres of storage (expandible to 5 litres) it's perfect for carrying drones or camera's etc. Install video is very basic, but hopefully anyone considering this tank bag will see it and it will help them decide if the Micro Pro is the tank bag for them.

You are the best of all videos around explaining this process!
Thank you Pedro, glad it helped! 👍
👌👌👌👍
Why do ypu aply this blue liqid on the screws?
Is this also used at the crews at the enginge etc?
The blue liquid is called “threadlock” and is a type of glue that stops nuts & bolts coming undone. When under vibration and other forces. Also there are two strengths - a mild one, coloured blue, as shown in the video which can be undone using normal tools and a stronger one which has a red colour. This needs heat from a blow torch to melt it and then the fasteners can be undone - don’t use red on things like this.

I taugh it was to lube it so if there is dirt in the thred it doesent brake as fast
Tanks fpr the explanation!
I have a 2024 KTM 790 adventure does this bag require a special adapter?
When you open the fuel cap, does it pivot towards the front of the bike, or the rear of the bike?
I actually don’t have it yet. P/U next week
Do you have raisers installed on your handlebars?
Hi Pedro, yes I have a set of SW Motech 28mm risers fitted to help when I'm standing up on the pegs
@@TrooperTed thank you. I've been facing some problems in finding a tankbag that fits in my Africa twins because of the risers. I will try this one. Thank you my friend 💪🏼
But if your sitting on the bike it flips towards you to acces the key portion
Ah, but the actual petrol cap itself, once you've turned the key & unlocked it, which way does it lift up? Depending on the answer I hop to be able to tell you which tank ring you'll need
@@TrooperTed ok the hinge is at 12 o’clock so it opens toward the handlebars
@@user-xq3lu5zp8f then I believe you'll need the Pro tank ring (part # TRT.00.787.17000/B) for your 2024 790, but best to confirm that with the reseller so you're 100% confident you're getting the right parts.
Don't forget, its rotated 180 degreees compared to most bike tank rings to allow the petrol cap open fully 👍
