I read a quote in a book recently: “People who are demanding, critical and angry tend to be intensely lonely” All the people that spend their time harassing people online fit this perfectly. They feel horribly degraded, worthless and lonely, unable to connect with others in a positive way. One of the only things they can do to make themselves feel better is to display their “superiority” over others in the only way they know how - trolling online. It’s also addicting because feeling superior or like you got the best of someone feels really good, temporarily…until it fades, and then you need to do it again. Point being, the people doing the harassing are just sick and maladjusted people. We have to keep that in mind.
Let's be honest, some people deserve to be trolled. Otherwise, they'll do whatever they want. It's all part of the balance of how culture adjusts to social media and it's impact on the world. I'm here for it, because there are ALOT of stupid and cringy people online trying to be something they're not.
You guys are amazing and that's why I love you guys chemistry. What you guys said was nothing but truth. Angel and Caitlin need to hear this if they haven't already. Nick, I gave my children the same advice, especially when you enter the social media realm. One thing about it is that someone will always have something to say about you. You have to have thick skin and confidence in yourself and not allow people to live in your head rent-free. I could say a lot more but I'm going to leave it here. We need more guys like you 3 doing sports.
That is great advice, especially for young people, Nick. I am very sorry to hear that miserable, cruel, emotionally immature, and insecure people caused you such mental and emotional distress. Glad you are doing better. 🦋
The sexualization of college athletes in general is a problem. I swear, for every post I saw about Caitlin Clark's performance, I saw 2 more of her in tight fitted clothes with thousands of likes & comments discussing if she was "low key" hot. And if that wasn't bad enough, the responses devolved even further into talking about who was hotter between her & Angel Reese, with people posting pictures, calling the other girl ugly, and of course, getting racially insulting the further the threads went on. It's like social media has completely corrupted people's ability to discern what's appropriate to talk about & what to say in a public forum. NOTHING is off limits, and everyone feels free to say the most degenerate stuff imaginable.
CC definitely has some offensive weaknesses but most don't see them. The obvious one is that she doesn't like to shoot jumpers off her right side. If you watch ANY of her games most of her 3s are shot when she dribbles to her left. The funny thing is Van Lilith tried to force her to her left which is CC's strong side! If CC is forced to dribble with her right hand, she almost always tries to go to the hoop. She rarely pulls up off her right side! If UCONN is smart, they'll force her right and meet her at the rim.
I don't know about GOAT, but Clark made me watch Woman's College basketball as a casual basketball fan. Getting eyes on the sport is the most important thing. Jordan did it, Woods did it and Clark's doing it now.
Mr. Kevin Wildes is the Dennis Rodman of this show and of media. He might not score the points but he's locking down the best player and giving you 20 rebounds a night.
The problem is Angel is teaing comments to see people praise her and get offended when she see criticism. As Nick said stop reading comments. As for Brou's analogy with tv, we didn't watch commercials
5:11 Exactly what I thought last night. She is the Steph Curry of her sport. Insane shooting and a also great playmaker/passer (Also, those last minutes are why this show is so golden. Talk non-sports all you want, gents)
@Nick: That Speech u gave there about Lives, especially young Lives in "modern times" aka social media and alikes was the strongest and best i ever heard in sports media! Stand up for humanism and behavior and get up against those, who just want to destroy!
I think talking Caitlin shows the difference between “Greatest player” and “Greatest career.” I could accept she might be the greatest PLAYER if she doesn’t win a championship, but she definitely wouldn’t have the greatest CAREER without one
Great point. Like to Nick's point, it is an individual in a team game so individual accomplishments and team accomplishments need to be separated to a point.
Cailtin Clark has transformed the sports world. My 80 year mother, who couldn't stand watching basketball because of the squeeking of the shoes, now watches all of her games. We had Easter on Saturday, but had to get done because Caitlin played at 2:30!
I never thought I'd be watching collage sports let alone woman's but my two little girls got me into this big time. Nicks stats are just insane. He makes you think.
Nice, I'm reminded of Adam Morrison and Jimner Fredette, literally carried teams, and if you recall Villanova winning it all with Jalen Brunson, Donte DeVicenzo went off in one of the greatest single game performance in NCAA history
The first known social media talent female to try to perfect the ways of Steph Curry was Sabrina. Sharp shooter & wild from anywhere. Now it’s Caitlin.
I'd say Clark is GOAT because none of those legendary women before her had transcended Women's Basketball the way Clark did. They paved the way, true, but Clark is a different kind of beast. Steph-like beast. She is extra special.
Give me a break….. Angel Reece is her own worst enemy. Have you guys actually looked at her social media? She has no problem dishes it out, but can’t take it! And if she has supposedly gotten death threats, which are illegal. She should be reporting it and the college should have reported it. She didn’t complain all year except after this loss. Just stop. Funny how this is the first we are hearing this after the full year. Just stop. Coaches are the first ones to tell these athletes to turn off social media! They are too arrogant and egotistical to turn it off.

The average basketball enjoyer and even casual viewers were glued to their screen for this game, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most viewed basketball game across all leagues this year

“Human beings are not meant for excessive praise nor criticism,” that's so true!
Caitlin Clark is slowly becoming what Tiger Woods was to Golf. Bringing in droves of eyes on the sport.
Great comparison fr
Another great white hope it appears!
I read a quote in a book recently: “People who are demanding, critical and angry tend to be intensely lonely”
All the people that spend their time harassing people online fit this perfectly.
Attempting to shame them must make you feel superior.
@@chadh.johnson3550 lmao nice logic, you must be a really deep thinker.
We need more guys like you 3 doing sports.
this segment is propf that the world is changing, sports are one of the GREATEST ways to bring people together. i love it!
That is great advice, especially for young people, Nick. I am very sorry to hear that miserable, cruel, emotionally immature, and insecure people caused you such mental and emotional distress. Glad you are doing better. 🦋
Wildes = Silly Silly Goose and that’s why we love him ❤
The sexualization of college athletes in general is a problem.
The great thing about her game isn't just her shooting, it's her passing, drives, and dribbling, too. She has no offensive skill weakness
She does but it's ok
CC definitely has some offensive weaknesses but most don't see them. The obvious one is that she doesn't like to shoot jumpers off her right side. If you watch ANY of her games most of her 3s are shot when she dribbles to her left. The funny thing is Van Lilith tried to force her to her left which is CC's strong side! If CC is forced to dribble with her right hand, she almost always tries to go to the hoop. She rarely pulls up off her right side! If UCONN is smart, they'll force her right and meet her at the rim.
As a parent and a mental health clinician I love Nick’s take! Best sports show!
I don't know about GOAT, but Clark made me watch Woman's College basketball as a casual basketball fan. Getting eyes on the sport is the most important thing. Jordan did it, Woods did it and Clark's doing it now.
Now people see why Ice Cube was willing to give Clark 5Million.
Publicity stunt
Truly a brilliant take on the angel reese topic
Acho on SPEAK had the best take on the Reese topic
No it wasn’t. It’s stupid. A no was right and now he’s getting black lash about it hahaha
@@lollol-zo9xyyes your right. Achos take was on point. These three are being once again race baiters
CC is changing the game for women’s sports
Mr. Kevin Wildes is the Dennis Rodman of this show and of media. He might not score the points but he's locking down the best player and giving you 20 rebounds a night.
best sports show! def underrated! wish yall would get more acclaim!
Lmao Einstein reference
I really wish Caitlin would've went around the court following Angel afterwards 😂😂
I love how the show is called “First things First” yet it’s like one of the last sports debate shows to come on 😂
Exactly, nobody watches that Speak garbage with shady and acho 😂
Used to be at like 5am
@@Ralfydeeobviously people do lol
When the show was created it was on at like 5am and was the first show of the day
The LSU Iowa game last night was played at such a higher level than the second game.
Okay, her threes were so far from the three line, like, you couldn't see Russia anymore. She killed it.
The single best and most accurate segment this show has ever had. Class acts!
Clark is so incredibly fluid from a technical point of view
All 3 of you are wonderful. Thank you for how you speak and use your platform
Not having Maya Moore on that greatest list is CRAZY
So real Nick thank you for this and appreciate you keeping it real on the show. Best sports talk show on planet earth 🌍
The problem is Angel is teaing comments to see people praise her and get offended when she see criticism. As Nick said stop reading comments. As for Brou's analogy with tv, we didn't watch commercials
Respect to these gentlemen for getting it!
5:11 Exactly what I thought last night. She is the Steph Curry of her sport. Insane shooting and a also great playmaker/passer
(Also, those last minutes are why this show is so golden.
Agreed!
Great point. Like to Nick's point, it is an individual in a team game so individual accomplishments and team accomplishments need to be separated to a point.
Phenomenal segment!! Best sports show on tv you guys are awesome & killing it as usual
I like the storyline but Caitlin clark has to win a ring though .. I think SC will win it all
Your comment shows your basketball ignorance
@@randyboyd3839ignorance? Get a life man you're self projecting on UA-cam .
Thank yall for what yall said about angel reese
Clark put Iowa on her back.
Great take by nick
Thank you Nick Wright!!!! Beautifully said!!!!
Nick is a king simp so will nvr get authentic take from King Simp..
Cailtin Clark has transformed the sports world. My 80 year mother, who couldn't stand watching basketball because of the squeeking of the shoes, now watches all of her games. We had Easter on Saturday, but had to get done because Caitlin played at 2:30!
I love this!! ❤
Brou & Nick didn't keep in 💯 on the Reese topic 🤦🏽♂️ Acho on SPEAK had the best take on the Reese topic.
No he didn’t he was terrible
Great take Nick, you're spot on 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
16:05 its not racism Broussard. Angel Reese did it when the game was over, Caitlin Clark did it when the game could go either way.
Tell me your not a POC without telling me😅
Trailer 🗑 logic. Typical lawless devils
It’s one thing to not like it but the extent to which ppl took it was racist
Bruh this is the biggest cope I've seen since Trump lost. It was the same move
Lmao wtf
I never thought I'd be watching collage sports let alone woman's but my two little girls got me into this big time. Nicks stats are just insane. He makes you think.
8:41 so no Maya Moore? She dominated the college game and WNBA like no other female has.
Who would know? Only you.
Her numbers are dwarfed compared to cailyn clark. Absolutely dwarfed. Take your little 19ppg and like 5 assists and get out of here
@@solidsnake7167 lol, dude mad because I stated facts. Get out your feelings.
@@MrMancreatedgod maybe so. 🤡
@@solidsnake7167she had amazing teammates that’s why she didn’t take 100 shots a game and the game was different. It was air raid like it is now.
Very well said. Very nice show. Respect and appreciation for the 3 of them and the whole backroom team. Keep doing your thing
Closer to Gordon Hayward leading Butler so close to beating Duke.
Nice, I'm reminded of Adam Morrison and Jimner Fredette, literally carried teams, and if you recall Villanova winning it all with Jalen Brunson, Donte DeVicenzo went off in one of the greatest single game performance in NCAA history
Brou. "Is that good for your mental health?" 🤣🤣🤣
The first known social media talent female to try to perfect the ways of Steph Curry was Sabrina. Sharp shooter & wild from anywhere. Now it’s Caitlin.
Clark blows Sabrina out of the water
@@foundationsyth9825tell that to the 3 point contest vs curry
Sabrina is great but she’s not on the level of cc
Great segment at the end from Nick, very well spoken
Watch a ton of these and don’t usually hit the like button but I did this one. I appreciate Bru mentioning the racism and classism
Angela Reese brings it on herself. She can’t keep her mouth shut.
Misleading graphic all of Paige's top teammates are hurt. She's winning with bench players.
Aaliyah Edwards is going to be a top 5 pick in the draft
@@andrewmiller4116She looked very impressive yesterday!
I'd say Clark is GOAT because none of those legendary women before her had transcended Women's Basketball the way Clark did. They paved the way, true, but Clark is a different kind of beast. Steph-like beast. She is extra special.
A.Reese got hurt and that was the game right there
Hurt or not. Clark took Reeses heart . 😂😂 see Reese crying post game. 😂😂😂 eat that L
Y’all preaching this morning !!
Yall hate her cuz she embodies what yall view black women as please tell us what she did to make yall hate her lol please n i can time stamp games of Clark doing the EXACT SAME thing
We need more of this trio, and the great guests
Wildes wanting actually policing on what people say on the internet is a bit much
No it's not
@@yct2.0it’s just words. I could understand if it’s leaking personal information or doxxing but just saying words shouldn’t be policed. Freedom of speech
@@TheEndoKenzo freedom of speech should not equal freedom to hate and oppress, not does it equal freedom from consequences
@@mackindle12345Again things like threats, doxxing, and leaking addresses will fall into the consequences as that’s life threatening but again someone calling you a name isn’t life threatening. The world is tough that’s a harsh reality but she’s making millions and is one of the best at her respective field she shouldn’t care what randoms online say about her.
@@yct2.0 Yes, it absolutely is. Free speech is way more important than some whiney athlete having their feelings hurt.
If she was a "suburban blk girl" she wouldn't have done the things that made her the villian. No one mad at her talkin sht, it was the poor sportsmanship that came after game was decided. Clark never did that. That's a blatant false equivalence
We only get like 1 hour a day of this show, 1/3 of it was used for womens basketball.
as someone who couldnt care less about the nfl, only 30% of their airtime is about basketball
The average basketball enjoyer and even casual viewers were glued to their screen for this game, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most viewed basketball game across all leagues this year
They really need to take time away from Undisputed and give it to this show.
Cool
Angel Reese is the reason why womens college basketball is on the rise thats what we all cant deny no matter who u are give the young lady her flowers
Great opinion by Nick on social media.
Angel brought it on herself.
What has she done in REAL life that justifies what Nick just describes has been done to her OFF THE COURT? The fact that people are still justifying how she is being treated shows how people can dehumanize certain people
ACCOUNTABILITY is a woman's Kryptonite
@@TsunamiWebster yeah, none of the criticism surrounding Reese has to donwith her being a woman...😂..the crazy thing is you probably really think accountability or lack there of is determined by a person's gender. 🙄
@maryj1156 maybe but Reese ruined her legacy with that interview after game. If she won. She would be gloating. Lol. Eat that L woman. 99% of men have zero sympathy for her. Zero
Actually great last part of the segment. As someone in that age range, I completely agree with Nick about the dangers of listening to social media.
It always has to be racism, they wanted to be the villians, they said so
The fact that people are still justifying ADULTS sexualizing and calling young women evil based on what they see in a GAME is CRAZY. Being a villian on the court and being a villian off the court is two TOTALLY different things. It seems people can understand that with certaib players but can't with others..I wonder why.
Nick speaking truth. Honestly, these are three just good dudes.
Sheryl Swoops was better tho. She was compared to MJ.
10/10 everyone on this segment, especially the last part. Also, Brou made me chortle with that parting shot at Wildes
So Maya, Aja, Aaliyah and all those others had to win titles but not CC? Come on Nick.
