The first person aiming sight is not working is because you aren't bombing in the way the aircraft was desinged to do. The Ju-88 is just a heavy Ju-87. So in order to use the Ju-88s first person bomb sight, you have to dive on the enemy with a 60 - 80 degree angle. That's why the Ju-88 has Dive-breakes. It slows the aircraft down to give it more time to preform the dive and be more accurate.
However the Ju-88 is not just a heavy Ju-87. It acts like one, but it is a multi-role aircraft. It's a basically a ground striker, but in some cases a heavy fighter. So it's good at hitting ground targets, and can also take on enemy ground strikers/bombers.

Interesting. My expanded knowladge of the aircraft wasn't that good, but now it is much better with your information. Are you able to tell which varient is used in game? I would say possibly the earlier varients since you have the option to put on dive-breaks, but I wasn't able to get much more info in the video to determin what it is with my basic knowladge of the aircraft.
The bombers in the allied side have the same issue actually...
I don't agree, in my gameplay (which is not visible in the video), it's exactly when diving that the reticule breaks!

Didn't you get the memo? Battlefield V is not realistic. That's why they have womenz. Cuz you know, Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam were so realistic, and every modern era BF had a fictional conflict they were based on... you know... realism. Don't forget, modern militaries slam drones into each other for kills and everyone in The Great War fielded prototype weapons as standard.

So yes the class where you have bolt action rifles and need to be accurate, they need to work more for those kills.

Aren't grand operations supposed to be realistic tho? B-29s would rarely face fighters in World War 2 and they would only face Japanese interceptors every now and then.

...You sure about that? Dive brakes allow you to dive bomb like a boss. They slow you down and give you MORE TIME TO AIM IN A DIVE and allow you to pull up faster.

Imagine sitting in an AA gun, blowing your entire load over that stupid bombers face, just to realize you did like 2 damage per shot and he is still at 50% hps, casually flying away to rearm and bomb you into space.
I like flying myself, but it really takes teamwork from multiple people and/or an AA tank to take down a JU-88. The plane takes little damage, can easily survive a full AA salvo until it overheats and the backgunner can easily take down any fighters coming after it. It needs some work imo.
I really wish they would tone down self-repairs especially. It is so ridiculous. Reload stations should be how planes repair to full.
agreed. I also would suggest that there is only one resupply point per side, in their own spawn, so they can't deliver payload everytime the pass
@@propagandalf877 Yeah true, forgot about that. Feels kinda weird to just rearm over their base. If the maps would be actually large, i would have also suggested fixed AA positions at spawns, but they are too small to make that happen on every map.
I have always thought that removing the self repair from vehicles would greatly help to "balance" vehicle whoring. I fly a lot and it's very rare that AA can take me down, the emergency repair is stupid. I take full use of it but always say that there should be no self repair. I typically go full rounds in a fighter in BF1 without much threat of death, I get bored and take chances, then I die. But if I were careful, it would be way too boring. @@krechii
@@sublime929 The problem is classes like assault can almost 1 shot a tank, i got hit for 96 damage and was basically a sitting duck. Or how infantry can take a main gun tank round and keep coming, its ridiculous.

To say that the bombers are fine in their current state is a bit selfish. I´m a pilot guy too, I love to fly in battlefield games.
But with the bombers in their current state you can just solo everything. circle around a resupply and press 3 for self repair every few seconds to stay alive as long as you want and let your gunners kill the fighters chasing you. If you dont have a gunner just pull slightly up and instantly switch to the back seat and spray them down in one short salvo, if they somehow survive instanly switch back to the pilot seat and finish them of with your main gun. The fighters have to work extremly hard to even damage bombers.
And AA is just a joke, the best thing that AA tanks are usefull for is as a infrantry support vehicle against other infantry.
it takes 10 seconds to shred a bomber in any fighter, if people actually tried to take them down instead of making in air truces not to attack each other this wouldn't be a problem.

Yep I agree, but with the stock loadouts it was really hard and you were more likely to get shot down by the gunners then you were to do any real damage to the bomber.
The G6 Minengeschosse absolutely shred and the G2 dual canon upgrade also helps, I haven´t unlocked anything on the Spitfires yet sadly.

an 88 and two Stuka B2's protecting it is godlike, that setup quite literally owns the airspace on so many levels, it's finding the pilots to fly them which is the problem

Fun for you, cancer for anyone playing on the ground. The AA is a bit too underpowered whilst the JU-88 can just take the dmg and then fly swiftly out of range, it also seems too maneuvreable for a bomber. Definitely a nerf for the bombers coming or a buff for AA.
MrBurtbackerack it’s not really a bomber, just a heavier JU-87. That’s why the first person reticle for bombing is like that, because it’s meant for dive bombing at a 60-80 degree angle, same with the diving breaks
So much THIS!! This was a game breaker in BF1 with planes dominating some maps with lack of good AA positions. Bombing and repairing, and so on. The same like previous BF games where repairs where on choppers and they where like flying killing machines (fitted with a decent pilot) that can do no harm and trashing everyone on the ground. Seeing this video makes me holding my money in my pocket for a longer time.
The enemy team didnt even try to shoot him down. All they had to do was spawn in a spitfire and shoot him down. He had no resistance
They don't need to buff aa or nerf bomber. They just need to remove the reticle on 3rd person when flying. Then you actually need to use your bomb sight like an actual bomber.

I thought Mosquito is gonna be hardest to level and lamest to fly. Boy was I wrong, that thing shreds other craft, even without upgrades, level 3 maneuveravility upgrade makes it qmazing.

This looks much easier than the flying bomber in BF1, that speed boost helps a lot. But pls dice, remove that 3rd person aiming mark, flying should not be a noob friendly
Ju88 is way too overpowering, and noon friendly, every game the JU88 pilot tops the scoreboard with records like 60-10 or something

lol, the first match I did with this plane (also in this map, during operations) I also got to rank 4 in one go, it's so awesome. Anti Air is so easily taken out as you can lead the bombs.

When the US “joins the war” (Gets added in) then the M1 Garand, Thompson, and vehicles will be added. Don’t know when that’ll happen but Dice is going in chronological order.

They already did. Players just need to learn to lead more with the speed. I kill planes all the time with great range
I think it should actually take skill to aim AA, maybe give it a little more damage. In BF1 it was too easy to aim for planes
The problem is the aa player, in this video have very bad aim and some of them shooting to early. The fighter are bad, and dont really care about niccaman and later the enemy have no planes at all and he can do what he want. He fly very low, dont underestimated the the assault rocket luncher in bf5 as a pilote. The mg42 have a good antiair upgrade and i heard it can shred planes, it makes good damage with the high fire rate and antiair upgrades.

It is not a real bomber, it's a Schlachtflugzeug (Battle-aircraft)

The real Bomber version had 4 crew member, the nightfighter/Battle-destroyer version only 3.

The Junkers Ju 88P-1 (or -5) had 3 defensive machine guns (2 behind the pilot, one behind the 88 mm gun that is underneath the fuselage). It couldn't carry bombs also.

This has been fun & educational watching the video & reading the comments as well. Ive spent about 20 years playing fps games alway infantry. I wouldn't even snipe. My move from the cod crap to battlefield has slowly made me try new things. I trained myself to play recon class over a year ago (im not a good teacher). I just recently decided to try what ive refused for so long... I got in a tank in bf1.. I felt so stupid I waited so long.. Its so freaky fun. Didn't wanna push so I waited even longer & flew my 1st biplane in bf1. In the cte i even flew to the air maps that no one seems to play. I for one loved them . Im still doing tank thing but mostly in bf4 but I wanna fly. I flew my 1st ever bomber today. It was something. I love the fighters too, just the sound of the engines... Well in bf 5 I have 0 kills so far. My love of flying is offset by my ineptitude. I subbed so i can maybe catch some tips on how to turn somrthing fun into something really fun. Thanks everyone whos a battlefield freak. I play milsims to but for a different reason.

@@DanceySteveYNWA Yeah. Not any air to air victories just a few on the ground. I got in a spitfire last night & went after a ju88 & i tried several times & that thing wouldnt come down. It looked like it should crash but never did. Im not giving up tho. Going back at them tonight.
@@MarkSmith8357 hopefully after the first patch the AA will get buffed so they can't fly directly at you and survive if you are getting them head on. (BF1 AA were able to get the job done, plus they couldn't steer whilst repairing either so yeah, there's that) Anyhow, Spitfire might be the one and you can get into a dogfight with someone else on your level and you can catch your first takedown. I might even try, for a laugh. We probably crash into each other and trade because I'm terrible at pilot. WIN-WIN. Both off the starting blocks, kamikaze style
@@DanceySteveYNWA Ive done that by accident but I think they thought it was on purpous. I put an incident, ill call it in a bf5 alpha or beta video, I dont remember which. I was in the medium german tank last night & ran into a Chuchill at close range..I got 5 direct hits & he survived & killed me. I've never gotten 5 hits on armor in bf5 cause ive never needed too. That also is recorded. Maybe an issue or the chuchhills extremely tough.

The Ju 88 was a dive capable medium bomber, it served also served as a Schnellbomber, heavy fighter and night fighter.
That first person reticule is designed to be used while flying level, it doesn’t adjust for roll or pitch like the third person reticule
