I recommend users never, ever constrain in a professional project (only at a family level ).
It will slowly bring the model apart, and make it much slower to work with!

I agree, it's very limited the times you'll need to constraint something in a professional project, very - very exceptional times you'll need it, in a family it's almost a must to constraint, most families are constrained.

I am using a bed family from enscape asset library, but i need to change the dimensions,so when i go to edit family i cannot see the reference planes of the object, but when i add my new reference planes and add it to parameters, but this error appears constraints are not allowed

I have a problem with constraint. I have IFC component and I want to contrain it to the column - constraint in one direction works, but when I add another perpedicular to the first one, there is an error that constraints are incorrect. This doesn't happen if I have two columns and constrain them with dimensions but when I'm using align option I cannot lock constraint - nothing appears. Could you help?

Hello sir! I'm a civil graduated engineer. I'm trying to learn revit structure but there's a lot problem I'm facing. Whenever I try to upload beam or column it always shows up to replace or chose new for which I'm unable to continue.. Please help me with this issues

Try loading families from the default autodesk library that comes with Revit. Ideally once you have one loaded it should allow you to place it
