I was a bit carless with something in this video that I did not clarify so I will Make sure I am clear about this.
treat the tank as usual. Just let the “Stability” be a boost to the cycle! I believe it is for example 2 caps full on the first day of a 20 gallon tank and then 1 cap for seven more days on a new cycle. I use 1- cap full per each 20 gallons even when seeding my tank with an instant cycle as I believe it really helps to complete the cycle or keep it well balanced. Don’t put food or organics in the tank unless you have added some stock as it will only add a level of ammonia that is not good for the cycle or can overload it “ it is all about balance” Use the stability to get your tank prepared to put stock in and help cycle your tank. It is meant to be used as a boost to your cycle. All of my tanks whether Seeded or not get this Stability boost. I have never ever had any water parameter issues when using this in concert with Prime. I add stock like Cory’s or fish that are clean up crew to get the tank going as well as otocinclus catfish to help keep the inevitable brown algae or “diatom” algae growth under control. Follow the directions on the bottle for best results as the stability is not active until it works in concert with your filtration and contains “aerobic” “ anaerobic and facultative bacteria components which help breakdown waste in your tank! Good Luck!

I need some advice. Just started to use seachem prime, stability, matrix and pristine in my 10L tank for betta fish. pH has always been around 6.5-7. However, noticed that pH is 5.6 today, do not understand what could have caused this. 50% water change done every 5days but filter sponge not changed. I opened up my filter and it has a very strong chemical smell of matrix and filter sponge is dirty. However, I understand from the seachem website that these products do not alter pH. Appreciate some pointers.

A combination of them at the same time could but I have never had that issue. Call Seachem help line on their website and ask them if there are known issues! Watch it for a day and test again to see if it stabilized. Your Betta should be fine however!

@@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto unfortunately, my betta's tail has tears this morning. Not sure if an overdose of any of these chemicals could cause this.

For cycling your tank with the stability one, Do you have to add ammonia (or fish food) into the tank as well? and if so how long do you do it for?

@@flocarter2017 I change 50 percent of the water the first week and 1/4 every day for another week then 1/4 twice a week for the life of the tank. This keeps my tanks that are even well established crystal clear and absent of any Algae of any kind. Plant heavy as I think that plants are you best filter other than the bio system that is being established. Water changes are really really important.

Also, if a natural regulator is used on a regular basis, eliminate the use of prime.
