Surprised when I looked at your subscribers. You have the editing, pacing, and writing skills of a much larger channel run by several people. To be doing this all on your own, and at such a high quality, is quite a feat. I look forward to what you make next.

Hahaha I literally just wrote something similar but much less intelligent, but couldn’t agree more. He’s gotta post consistently and not have giant 3month gaps (granted idk what could have been his reasoning, some being completely understandable )!

That's the problem with gonzo journalism, you don't get recognized until you die

"Early on, I'd been intimidated by the strangeness, the crowds, the different languages; I'd been reluctant, at first, to throw myself into it, to plunge right into packed noodle joints and businessmen's bars. This time, I was determined, at the very least, to miss less".
As a regular ass dude struggling with a life-long, still bearable, amount of awfully disruptive social anxiety, this reads like a self-made promise finally verbalized after many years of silent suffering.
Great video, Selador, I would share a cobra's beating heart with you any time.

I only learned about Bourdain on the day he died. The head chef I worked with at the time showed up that night with a new tattoo of Bourdain's signature on his arm, and we spent the night talking about his influence as a cook, and as a humanist.
Great work on the video. I appreciate that while your topics are eclectic, they keep that literary through line. I hope you enjoy making them as much as I enjoy watching.

Parts unknown was a constant companion to me in some dark times.
It's hard to believe it's been almost six years, it feels like a lot less.
Another round of cobra hearts for the whole algorhythm.
Keep up the good work, this is a hidden gem of a channel.

You’re a really good narrator, I know you probably don’t have the interaction you’re wanting right now, but just keep going man! You do a really great job at this.

Working as a cook was a whirlwind, I sold weed out the back of the restaurant, cooks banging servers in the walk-ins, dish boys in the garbage pit getting stoned, Adam sliding 2 racks of ribs into his trenchcoat LOL.

A Cook's Tour is my favorite food & travel series, the Layover is a hoot too, but Cook's Tour has that classic Tony I love so much.

He committed suicide??? I had no clue thats how he died. Good god. Im not a cook but learning of his death made me know the world had lost someone special. Im not a cook but ive been a baker. Growing up, i would sometimes see episodes of no reservations on tv and that man gave me hope theres a world out there worth living. Why wasnt it worth living for him...

The beginning of the end of Anthony was during the dinner with Obama in Vietnam 2016. Also look into Anthony's girlfriend. Very very strange.

Could you be more specific? All I can find is that the restaurant where their dinner occurred has preserved their table behind glass.
