He failed to mention that this is called "looking for validation" which is basically looking for approval. It boils down to insecurity because why else would a person need approval from everyone around.

I was a victim of this .She screamed at her son and said it was my fault even when I was hiding under the bed watching the Yankees and nothing to do with it . Said I was the poison that causes her to yell and feels better about herself because in her mind its your fault . This is a very bad one and causes major problems
