Still looked really cool Logan. Sometimes the video of these almost looks more impressive. Interesting issue with the 533, there's always something in this hobby.
Thanks Ollie. The video was definitely better than any still I produced. Not sure why virtually all the frames were being dropped but that something to look into at a later date. I assumed that the 533 would work with Sharpcap since NINA was happily using it but, as you say, there is always something in this hobby to trip us up.
Thanks Jason. It was cool to watch live but as we all know, not everything in this hobby turns out like we hope. Next time, I think a colour planetary camera will be the way to go. CS
Hi Logan, Nonetheless, the raw video through SharpCap looked great ... very interesting. Saturn and the moon don't rise right now until around midnight, so yah, it had to be very low in the sky one hour later. Plus, what's the deal with the clear sky on a night of an interesting astronomical phenomenon? One would expect clouds ... LOL
Great Video Logan, and a great capture all the same, this hobby can be so frustrating at a times…👍🏻
Thanks Stuart. It was still fun watching the occultation live. CS
Great result. It was too low in the sky for me.
Thanks very much

Looks pretty cool regardless. Nice quick thinking. You still captured a pretty cool event. CS

You still managed to catch it mate so well done for having a go, might have a go at some Lunar etc when I get the scopes swapped out.
Clear skies
Thanks Tich. Yep it was a bit of fun to watch Saturn duck behind the moon. I just need to be better prepared next time. CS

Thanks Pat. You are absolutely right there - totally out of character of the clouds to stay away during such an event🤣. CS.
