Bruce always survived because he thought he was only one that could defeat Gotham's enemies and terrors, this made him push himself harder and farther than any known man, leaving his own family behind. In this version of Batman, Bruce, for the first time, knows now that Gotham doesnt need him and can now rest knowing that its defenders will be there.
Still, they ressureded bruce just to kill him minutes later? Also, what's to say Talia won't try that shit again?

Ok, a lot of people have been griping about the quality of the game and such. I just want to say that I freaking love the chemistry between the Bat-Family in this, it's hilarious and heartwarming at the same time.
couldve been done in a future arkham universe game with better quality. IN fact, the suicide squad game should have been dumped and they shouldve handled this potential game
From everything I've seen, it looks and feels like a cheap Arkham ripoff that isn't as good game play wise. Story, cut scenes, and detail into character interactions seems great but all that goes down the toilet if the overall gameplay suffers because of it

Okay I'm just gonna say it, in this game they are pretty much just the ninja turtles. With Leo and Raph being Dick and Jason, Donnie and Mikey being Barbra and Tim.

Definitely was way back in the comics, following from Batman, red is said to be the second tallest and heaviest and actually if I’m not mistaken I think his an inch taller than Bruce

Jason hugging Alfred while sobbing and mourning over Bruce is a wholesome moment I never thought I need to see. After all he has committed as the Red Hood, Bruce never gave up on him and still seen him as his son.
I'd like to think Alfred memorized his "certainly brighter than the Batcave" speech and gave it to each and every member of the team. Every additional time he had to do it, he would walk away and drink some booze.
I'd much rather watch this then pay full price to play through it, I've heard the game has its kinks but this story telling is beautiful
pretty much me... i enjoy the cinematics now instead of spending endless hours on them game... life has more things to do as well... good thing with these, I can also speed up the timer to finish in half the expected time as well 🤩
If you like the characters, youd probably like the game itself. I'm absolutely addicted to it. Theres a lot of reviews saying the combat is clunky and button mashy but that just shows they didn't play past the first 2 or 3 hours. Getting good at the combat takes a little practice, but it's on par with Arkhams combat by knight, it's just going for a different style. My biggest issue with the game is the lack of graphical improvement in 7 years (even a downgrade if you aren't running on current consoles) and the abysmal optimization, leading to poor performance. But if graphics aren't the end all for you, get it on pc. The lower settings (1080 60fps) looks pretty good and runs fairly smoothly on middle class machines. Plus the modding scene is leagues better than Arkhams modding scene, which makes sense

I wanted to comment asking how the hell this turned into a leave of shadows game but I wanted to wait until the end in case they pulled a 180 for a second time

I think it’s deeper than that, with Gordon being something of a loving, but absent father as he was always chasing crooks in a corrupt GPD with his only true friends being Montoya and both Harveys
I think Montoya was expressing how innacurately brave they made the statue look, poking fun of Gordon and implying he didn't look like that in life, and maybe even suggesting that as his friend, she saw the more vulnerable and modest side of him. That's why she said he would've hated being up on a pedestal. He saw himself as man, not a hero.
Barbara's comment about how he looks just like how she remembers might imply that as his daughter, she's only ever seen him in a heroic light, because he's always been her hero. She doesn't say she doesn't remember, but that she remembers him to be just as heroic as the statue looks. As kids, we tend to see our parent's under much more generous lighting. We don't notice their flaws, and often look up to them as mentors instead.
I actually think it's a really heartwarming scene for Batgirl.
Lol, as I continued watching, later even Tim points out that the figure of Jim that Barbara made looks more like the heroic statue than the guy he knew.
She seems a little annoyed to be reminded yet again that she viewed her father far more generously than everyone else did. It might even be rooted in an insecurity that she didn't really know him as a person. Very interesting.

The beginning cutscene looks like it would be a really good end boss fight for the game they should have made. Also, I've always thought that their version of Bruce Wayne kinda looked like Chris Pine but with dark brown hair.

Tim has a lot of great stories in the books, and the argument for him being the "best" Robin is certainly a legitimate one. He's a great character.

When Red Hood confronted Penguin, I loved the New 52! suit. But, I think people should just keep them the way they are. Each universe is unique and this Red Hood pulls it off. A body suit with the hoodie? Subtle yet rebellious, which puts him to a tea.

Look at the speed of that vehicle. Look how quickly it covers so much ground. The only thing comparable to this was back in 2003. When my grandmother used that weird chair to go down the stairs. Every time I thought i might as well take a nap or get my collage education before she gets down. But watching this movement and cinematic heart pumping chase scene. I wasn't waiting for her to get down. I WAS WATCHING HER AFTERIMAGE THE WHOLE TIME.
The voice acting in this felt like nobody knew what anyone else was saying
Probably a lot of voice acting separately to speed the process up. Compared to a game like RDR2 where the voice actor not only voice together but are physically acting out their scenes with motion capture.
Yeah that Alfred part with each character "it's much brighter than the Batcave..." felt especially off, just an identical line for each character...

All I can say about this game is three things. 1. The combat might be slow and heavy, but in reality, are you really gonna enjoy fast paced fights in a game like this? (Unlike in Arkham where you only play as one character). 2. I think I like this Timeline, where Barbara Gordon wasn't paralyzed by the Joker. It works well with the story presented. And 3. It just looks damn good!
In the comics she ends up regaining her legs.

EDIT: I mis-read the comment. It said a new Batman game, not a continuation to the Arkhamverse. But here’s my comment if you want to read a rant about why there shouldn’t be a new Arkham game
The game wouldn’t have been a good game.
In this point in the Arkhamverse, every loose end has been tied up. Every super criminal in Gotham is either deceased or captured. And they won’t be breaking out any time soon. The Joker was the only reason the super criminals kept breaking out, and well, he’s dead. The GCPD lock-up is very secure as well. Any time a criminal tried to escape they were promptly captured and locked up before they could execute their plans, and Two-Face was the only one who managed to escape.
Basically, all Batman’s villains are in prison, a small army was destroyed in the span of 8 hours. The majority of Gotham’s criminals are in prison, and any breakout attempts were either stopped, or the person who escaped was promptly found, beat up, and put back in prison.
Basically there’s no way to go from there. It was the perfect ending for a perfect story, and dragging on the story any further would just ruin the ending.

They spent months hyping up the court of owls as the main villians only to make them a faction in what was obstensibky their own game? At least in City we didn't know strange was a pawn until the end of the game. Plus you could have gradually revealed more about the fight over time, maybe use the court as a red herring instead of revealing the whole plot in the first 5 minutes.

it's different from the Arkham universe, so i guess in this universe the batman is more angry, less careful and had a worse fate lol

After watching that final fight I think Tim may have toned down Jason's bullets a little too much
2:55:18 I love how loud and crazy superhero landings and their accompanying soundtracks can be, but this one is just a quiet nothing event.
A lot of the scenes felt quit and missing music, they likely had on streamer mode if this game has it to avoid copyright.
I need this, this game ain't worth buying. I'd rather go buy the complete Arkham series and play it again. Thank you sir for uploading this video, you're a life saver.
