I like to think that Guillotine kept up her One-Winged Dark Lord in order to not forget of Chloe. Not to forget her hesitation that lead to Chloe going into a coma. I certainly did not expect that it'd tie in to so many past events as they did. It'll be intersting to see what they tie in for next year. Also, it really is a shame we missed the Commander Vs Syuen fight that Ingrid possibly jumped in to hammer down the nail, so to say. It'd be so peak.
Its crazy all the lore that built up to this event. Ice Dragon Saga < Dark Hero < Exia's Fav Item < Boomsday < Invasion Arc of Campaign < Maiden's and Guillotine's bond stories
Kinda just though Ingrid was pragmatic, angry, soldier lady. It was really cool to see her take on a more motherly role to her Nikkes and see that see that she does actually care about them.
In the end the only thing from Final Quest was the armor designs- something Chloe might not have described much, but the online game designs would be fresh in Guillotine’s memory. Maiden saw the armor and assumed she was in the wrong game world. Everything else was entirely based on Chloe’s world.
2:23:27 ohhh, i think that is why higher up won't make Ingrid to call the judgement if guillotine become irregular or not. Cus she should be knew that this is going to happen. She can't make the call because of the emotion i guess (idk how to describe it )
The translators don't know the difference between partiality and impartiality. She would remain partial (as in biased), hence she can't make this judgement
I've got to say, i think you might the only person i've watched suggest that Guillotine might of planned it all pre-reveal. Or at least said it outloud, anyway. Man, i guess it must just be me overcooking with the Chloe part at the end. I haven't seen anyone be concerned that it might not be Chloe but 'Chloe'... and she's not outside a room. I'm still paranoid that it might not actually be Chloe given we don't see her, she has the same voice (i can kinda ignore this one) and that the CG is vague on the location.
@@MBS-HomuZombie Tbh after the whole reveal of Guillotine being more than just a chuuni… I just immediately felt that her IQ may have been a lot higher than we gave her credit for. It honestly sounds really cool/makes sense if she took on that “omniscient” DnD Dungeon Master persona as well in order to finish the story. Though maybe she didn’t fully calculate being stopped at the wall and what happens after 🤔
They didn't to make a CG of her grown up lying in a bed is the reason for black screen most likely. She's probably paralyzed or something. Also in JP dub at least, she always had kinda granny-like voice, so it never flared any red flags for me lol
@@Peiruhn For me it was more that the voice didn't change (i also play with JP dub). That said, it's not really something i'd expect them to do with a character like Chloe. Given the vagueness of the whole situation (and black screen), it's pretty much anything goes at this point. She could have made a complete recovery and has just been waiting for Guillotine to show up again. At the very least, she's probably alive... probably.
@@MBS-HomuZombie Sure. We are kinda conditioned by anime to expect that voice changes dramatically when people get older (which it doesn't lol), so I suppose it's fair to expect it to change when years have past and Chloe is an adult. But this might as well be going from 15 to 20, 14 to 30, or whatever else, but probably less than more. It wouldn't make any sense narratively if Guilottine meeting Chloe was a delusion/dream, considerin that Maiden also got her closure at the end with Electric Shock (albeit also not blatantly shown), so I'll assume it wasn't until it's proven otherwise.
@@Peiruhn I guess we can also throw in that Chloe might put on the voice for Guillotine (still powered by the chuuni). I had assumed Chloe was young enough for there to be some change to her voice now she's an adult but the whole thing is just a minor detail that i would have ignored if we got to actually see her again. Now, I don't think this is the case but i will argue that having Guillotine finally visit Chloe's grave to say hello after many years would make narrative sense as a form of closure, especially after giving their story the perfect ending.
I honestly don't know if dehumanizing Nikkes has definitively made things worse, either for society or Nikkes in the general sense. There are so many ways in which the Ark sucks so much (merely starting with that it very evidently isn't capable of sustaining itself in the long term) that Nikke abuse is basically a pressure valve - and for all the problems caused by what's done to create Nikkes, it's all trade-offs that ultimately prevent outright breaking under that kind of pressure as well as providing a decent chance of outliving it. The situation obviously isn't good, but I don't know that any of the better alternatives are also functional. I'd say Underworld Queens (got all three fairly early, have used them a good bit) are approximately correct to their personalities when interacting with non-Nikke strangers. Among themselves they can choose to get along well enough, and they're likewise readily capable of working with other Nikkes who aren't actually trying to tick them off. But they all have a lot of subordinates who simply would not respect a leader who can't both take care of and protect them, and staying in charge of their respective organizations is their job. Aside from Moran, they get a lot of pushback and challenge, and that they're managing some of the morally worst tasks with an eye towards minimizing the future room available for it doesn't sit well with those who are proud of doing the dirtiest work available and are looking for respect and praise. So they can definitely be like that, but it's compartmentalized into areas neither other Nikkes nor you would normally glimpse.
Something about these Mother-Daughter stories really gets me, between Ingrid and Abe this year, they have really been making me misty eyed ...
Guillotine is the sharp and mature one between two of them, surprisingly.

Between Winter Maiden and Rapi Red Hood, mama Ingrid must be so proud.
Merry Christmas!
She looks at her NIKKE scrapbook and cries with accomplishment

Even a few small references too. Like the summer one regarding Sakura's line when you meet her here.
I must say, Bald Man has an amazing gift. All the artists on the team do, in fact.
Vidia i cant wait for your johan reaction
@@atommine5156 *cough* listen, uh- when that video makes it to YT…..I apologize in advance
I do greatly enjoy the thought that simulation Ingrid is just normal Ingrid and has the same goals despite outside Ingrid not knowing that
Merry Christmas Vidia🙌
Elysion is my favorite faction cheifly because of Ingrid (also Eunhwa) and their relation to all the Nikkes under them.

Maiden’s problem in this event is she thought she was in an MMO, but she was actually in a LARP.
