"So you would break up a family because of getting cheated on" is the wildest form of victim blaming.
Like, no, the one who cheats is the one who breaks the vow they made to their spouse in order to get married in the first place. The one who cheats is the one who breaks up the family from the inside.

I don’t think that the woman in the red sparkling dress has thought through her point about “breaking up the family over a one time indiscretion.” Perhaps she’s had her ex partners use this excuse on her in the past. In any event it comes across as victim blaming. I see it as a form of compartmentalization of infidelity used to give the cheater(s) a free pass. Nobody is perfect. She has some room for growth in my opinion.

i dont see how thats victim blaming. if the person in question reasons that breaking up the family even more than it already has been would cause further disfunction within the family or have some other negative drawback, why cant they make the best decision for the group? just because one person "broke" the family doesn't mean you just give up on it, it doesn't matter who's fault it is. the thought processes im seeing to argue this point seem to be akin to revenge, selfishness, and other subjective things. I know its definately not a one to one comparison, but imagine your friend betrays a group you are all in, then rejoins. should you betray the entire group again just to show your "friend" what it feels like, then proceed to tell the group its the friends fault you betrayed a second time?
I obviously disagree with that guy on some level though, there are many circumstances and sometimes one does have to break up with someone if they deem that the best case for everyone, sometimes you need to put your own needs first, etc. I just feel like some of the reasoning im seeing on how this works is a bit absurd to me personally, but maybe i just dont understand.

Janelle is so sex obsessed holy… she treats sex so casually and expects other people to have that same worldview inherently for some reason. Like to argue that a relationship can be maintained following a partner cheating on them because it’s just “giving in to the cardinal flesh” is wild. Cheating is more than just an act. For her argument to have any bearing in reality, then talking about problems in a relationship could not be a viable option before committing the act of cheating. There are more moral options that precede cheating.

It's definitely difficult for straight men and women though to be truly friends without expecting or hoping anything else happens. Typically I feel the guy would need to be more attractive than the girl in order to have a better success rate at just being 100% friends. It would be incredibly surprising to me if a guy has a female friend who is attractive that he wouldn't hope in the back of his mind that he gets to sleep with her.
Women have a much easier access to sex so they wouldn't really need to rely on their friend to get it.

Think about this: does your mother have male friends? I’d guess probably no cuz mine doesn’t and my dad doesn’t have any female friends either

I genuinely believe it because that has been my experience my whole life. I've tried, I really have tried to just be friends with women. Every. Single. Time. Either I eventually get attracted to them or they get attracted to me and because of it we stop being friends. This has happened to me over 10 times in my life. I will never be convinced it is possible. Someone ALWAYS has it in the back of their mind, whether they want to admit it or not.

Men and women can totally just be friends. Theres so many types of love, attraction, relationships, and sexualities that make this possible, so this question feels weirdly generalizing. I have the capacity to be romantically attracted to men and women, does that mean Im attracted to all men and women? No, of course not. I have a best friend who Ive known for years and get along with great, and I love her so much, but not in a romantic sense. And Im sure this is a possibility for others as well.
Also loved how polite Frank and Asher were while voicing their opinions and beliefs. Very respectful, they were my favorites. Seem like chill dudes.

The lady in the red dress says she wouldn't break up her family if her husband cheated hypothetically but if cheating is a boundary for me and you break it, you are breaking up our family. Us co-parenting does not hinder the father/mother having a relationship with the child

I had a classmate who I became close acquaintance/friends with because we were in the same class section for 5 years straight from middle school to high school years so we became really close and casual. People took notice of this and heavily shiptease us because we're a 'boy and girl' who are close with one another, that only made things awkward for awhile and I almost gaslight myself for thinking I had feelings for my friend during my confusion and self reflection.
