I think these look better than the foam runners imo. Yeezy’s are ultra exclusive to get so Adidas giving customers a knock off version for the masses of people who want them without paying resale then why not. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It seems like Confirmed never wants to spread the love among consumers for Yeezy shoes. Nike does it all the time. Kanye and Adidas stole the foam design for a smaller African American sneaker designer anyway. His shoes are more similar to the adidas ones with the liner.

Kanye has been trying to produce more of his products and cut down on costs to benefit the consumer and he’s been vocal about it. Adidas know what they are doing building exclusive hype to Yeezys by not mass producing them. Kanye has been trying to branch off and provide production warehouses in America. Makes no sense to knock off a slide when they can literally produce it, I mean they do have the molds to do so? Wouldn’t that be cheaper than creating a newer knock off mold? L take.

Just to add another thought on this. To anybody who doesn’t have an engineering/manufacturing background, remember that to make these shoes they’re all designed and produced through tools/machinery which cost obscene amounts of money of which Adidas pays and therefore owns.
Adidas has the machinery to make Yeezy foam runners sat there, of which they’ve paid millions for. So instead of it just making Yeezys, they design their own ‘version’ different enough to call it their own but it has to be similar because it’s using the same machine/manufacturing process. This is probably why the design includes one of those in-sole sock like things and laces, because punching a few extra holes in for laces is an easy and obvious design change but doesn’t cost huge amounts in machine/tool modifications.
Adidas are taking advantage of their own tools/machines/capabilities to increase their profits from a machine that was originally designed to make just Yeezys but now can make other shoes as well (such as these).
Yeezy/Diddy/HipHop culture seems to believe that since they own the design they own everything. That’s not the case, and they’re naieve to think a huge cooperation like Adidas would ever treat them as equal.
Yeezy designs the shoe, adidas manufactures it. One can’t work without the other. Difference is, Adidas still own all their manufacturing processes and can use them on designs outside of Yeezy’s, to create shoes such as these.

My 2 cents, this “ beef” at the bottom line of it is exactly that, the bottom line, money, Kanye brings sketches and ideas to a design team, they develop from the paper to bring the sketch to life, people who understand materials and how these materials move, flex and durability and so on, it’s a long process, machines are made or modified to create something new and Kanye and adidas brand them and we get Yeezys, now through these processes new ideas are created, new materials and tech thst adidas develops , to me I can’t see the problem with adidas using co created materials to produce new models or update older ones, after all Kanye uses boost or prime knit and adiprene ripped straight from an older model or literally stamping “ calabasas “ on a powerphase and it’s suddenly a yeezy, it works both ways, neither the slides or these look directly like the yeezy counterparts, inspired by maybe but definitely not a carbon copy, there’s an archived model this show looks exactly like that adidas have clearly used newer tech to bring it back into todays trends of foam build shoes, this is not a new idea, it always happens with all kinds of industry, race or culture has absolutely no place in the discussion as diddy brought up, this is business, money and nothing else, to me as a sneaker fan I honestly think this is a bad thing for both brands and will mean if it really does end it will a long time until we see big production of yeeezys again and a good chance of a retail price accessible to more people being a thing of the past if the trend of where Kanye is going with fashion continues, he made his billion ( how sway?) 🤷‍♀️

Lets not forget how original hip hop is, given most of it is made using the same drum break 'stolen' from one record (which itself was a cover of another record)? The whole sample culture 'borrows' bits of music most people wouldn't even realise the origins of, without a vast knowledge of everything from orchestral music through to electronic, spanning centuries of other creators work.
The yeezys looked like a cross between the adidas prophere and the tubular, the slide was a modified adidilette. It's ok for Ye to go on about his creativity but it's adidas, their r and d, their technologies, their manufacturing that made his ideas into reality. I wonder how much of the actual process he was involved with, how much of his designs and vision weren't actually bits borrowed from elsewhere?
The adilettes are much more then the yeezy slides, the only similarity the foam construction which I'm pretty sure belongs to Addidas, as is Boost, as is primeknit etc. Another aspect isn't Adidas, ripping off Ye, but everyone else ripping off Adidas and Yeezy with their takes on the Ye slides and foam runners.
The AdiFomq Looks fantastic and as they clearly stated was based on one of their own models the Quakes. Adidas would have been idiots to not release something of their own. I must admit that Kanye has a point in the sense that he pioneered a couple of things, or at least brought certain concepts to the attention of regular consumers. Like I don't know if the concept of foam runners was his, but Yeezy Foam Runners inspired a whole wave of fully foam based sneaker prototypes by random people on the internet.
But going deeper, I have to disagree with Kanye. He wanted Yeezy to be worn by everybody, but go and try get them Yeezies as an average "everybody". Yeezies never were part of general release, I had to subscribe to a notification programme that tells me when the next Yeezies are gonna drop, and then they cost twice as much as what a good textile shoe needs to cost. Plus, as much as I like the whacky designs ... they are whacky. Most of Ye's deigns don't look like something an average "everybody" would wear, and that's why the overall reaction to the foam runners was negative.
Adidas takes inspiration from Ye's designs, polishes them visually to be more agreeable with the general public and lowers the price. I got me a pair of Ozweegos and a pair of Ozelias (both of which are definitely "inspired" by Yeezy 500) for less than 90$ each. That's s much more reasonable price and much easier to get. No timed drops, no 200$ a pair. More colorways available at one time.
Maybe Adidas did him dirty, but Ye can't stay grounded while chasing the blue skies.

Crazye never pioneered shit, it's a scam. The guy who made his musical career solely based on sampling (his most famous songs all use super famous hooks and melodies from original hits by someone else) is complaining about the same exact thing when someone else does it. Par for the course for Crazye. Besides, has Kanye really designed anything himself? Remember when he came up with that design for an aeroplane that turned out to be stolen from someone else? Have you guys seen the clips where he "designs" things? He gets actual designers to come up with whatever, then he tells them, do more of this less of that. And then he sells it as his design. I mean, come on. Crazye has never done something himself from a to z. He steals, he hires people then he pretends it's all his ideas from the start.

    • @Trazyn_the_Hoarder
      @Trazyn_the_Hoarder Рік тому +1

@@maxmeier532 I see you're more knowledgeable on Kanye that I am, so I'll trust you on the music part. Hip Hop and Rap aren't for me and Kanye's music either, so I don't really have an opinion on that part. I only know that during the height of the pandemic he received 2 Million dollars from the Federal Pandemic Loan program while other real small business struggled to access that money.
But to quote a good reply I found on Quora:
“Kanye is an amazing curator of talent. The Yeezy Design team has many great thinkers and product people such as: Virgil Abloh, Demna Gvasalia, Elon Rutberg, Joe Perez, etc. Different people have different roles.
It's all about vibes. If Kanye wants the collection as a whole to have a certain mood and aesthetic, it can be conveyed to the Yeezy Design team in a variety of mediums.
Same as product development for anything else. No one man is behind the full design of anything.
Kanye is the only person in the industry who can consistently sell out 40,000 shoes in 2 minutes."
Like, sure he's not a "designer". Perhaps even the designers on his team aren't, hence the fuck up with a "stolen" design. But it's because of Kanye that Yeezies exist and because of Kanye that Adidas had their mad success with Yeezies. I'd say there's more Kanye in Yeezies than Jordan in AJs. Adidas owes him these facts.
But as I've said, I still think that Kanye doesn't understand that his artsy ideas need other designers' skills to even come to life, and Adidas actually makes what Kanye wasn't be able to do by himself. Make Yeezy(-like) shoes accessible to everyone. Because his ideas are whack and he's out of touch with reality of regular mortals who work 9-10 hours a day and have to pay bills.
