As a non-American I actually didn't know the story of the Thanksgiving, so thanks for that. And it looks like the food held up just fine after 20 years, which is great. Thanks for the video and happy Thanksgiving.

Combos is what those pretzels are and tobasco sauce doesn’t ever go bad it just gets hotter over time. Which I have eaten 35 year old tobasco before and ohh man it was amazing!
Tobasco doesn’t go bad. It’s just distilled vinegar, peppers, & salt. However, it does get stronger over time. That’s why it smelled so strong. Love the videos, Happy Thanksgiving!
I wouldn't say it gets stronger, the vinegar usually goes to the top leaving the peppers and salt at the bottom, that's why its so thick too. I think Tobasco and peanut butter won't spoil if it's never been opened, the ingredients just separate over time. Nothing a good shake can't fix.

It's interesting that you mentioned the Egyptian tomb thing, they've actually found WHEAT down there that was STILL GOOD! And what is the deal with C-Ration and other canned crackers? I really liked this one, they should bring it back.
When I was in, nearly every menu item was freeze dried. Not too much 'fresh' stuff. TFW!
Thank you for your service & willingness to try these MRE. I’m not so sure your son would be able to hack it in the military if he had to eat MRE’s….😂. At least you gave us the freedom to not have to eat those. Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, belated as the wish is. TFW!
Great review guys happy Thanksgiving to you and your families

Curious what you think on this exchange we just made since you are a marine
Don't get me started........I have views on political matters, but I don't discuss them on this UA-cam channel. TFW!
how many years do they last? i have them in a cool dry place.
Well, mine was 20 years old and it was alright. I think it depends upon what they are made of. If there are tomatoes, I've been unable to eat most those when they get over 20 years. TFW, Jonathan.
@@MeAncient ok great thank you so much! god bless
This was my favorite mre in iraq 03. Thanks for sharing this!

I appreciate those kind words, Kaden. TFW and Happy Thanksgiving!
That just made me hungry, until you got to the Tabasco sauce. Great 👍🏼 video!!!
Jorge, I don't care for Tabasco sauce either. TFW and Happy Thanksgiving!
The food in the second winter was fairly substantial. Look at the size of those fish. Lots of protein there. And a peck of ground grain per person per week is good. Good video. Best
Tom, you may know this, but about a week after they celebrated, that first Thanksgiving, another ship arrived from England. It had more Pilgrims to drop off at Plymouth. That made things tough for their second Winter, although not nearly as bad as the first year. TFW!
Meancient always needs more salt 🧂 🤣🤣 happy thanks giving to you and your family 🦃
Happy Thanksgiving Marcel!
Thank you sir 🫡
The fact that he paused to say grace over this meal is pretty nice.
I had to dig a 6 Ft hole with an E Tool and bury one of those little tobasco bottles.. to this day I wonder if that little bottle is still un disturbed at Ft. Benning Ga.... that was 2000 .. seems like yesterday although it was half of my life ago .. great memories.. enjoyed the video.. thank you for your service.. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 my friend..
Pablo, what a punishment! Those bottles are pretty thick. I'll bet it's still there. TFW!
The Pretzels with cheese are like a snake called COMBOS they have a cheese and pretzels one and a pepperoni pizza soo good
The Cheese Pretzels Are Called Combos

Welcome aboard, THE Cat! TFW!
Idk if anyone said anything or not but the pretzels and cheese are called combo's. Awesome videos man keep it up
Brandon, tks for that and TFW!
Ha I used to like that mre. Boneless pork chop in Jamaican sauce was good too. Two bottles Tabasco needed with turkey and mash
Had the pork chop in Jamaican sauce......it had gone bad and was inedible, sorry to say. TFW!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family god bless.
Happy Thanksgiving to you my friend. You and your grandparents are daily in my prayers.
How many times have you gotten sick from trying these old MREs
Believe it or not, I've never gotten sick eating one of these meals. TFW
It's interesting that you mentioned the Egyptian tomb thing, they've actually found WHEAT down there that was STILL GOOD! And what is the deal with C-Ration and other canned crackers? They ALWAYS taste funky to me! I've had them in old #10 cans and even some newer ones in cans and every time they have a gross smell that permeates into the flavor!
Yep, already tell I love your channel
That uniform looks exactly like one I could buy at my local army navy surplus store
That's where I got the jacket. They didn't have those that I was aware of when I was active duty. We wore straight up green field jackets. TFW!
Dang Thanksgiving MRE that looks yummy I may have to try and find 1
TFW & Happy Thanksgiving, Tim!
i really love these videos
thank you for making them
It is my pleasure. I'm happy to hear you enjoy them. More coming soon! TFW
Cool videos! Love y’all!!!
Thank you for the compliment. Hopefully have one more tomorrow. Stay tuned…
I ate my 1st MRE on Fort Jackson, SC back in 1986…dehydrated pork patty. Tastes good when your hungry.
That was pretty much all we had when they first came out. All the fruits and meats were dehydrated. TFW, Frank!
And combos come in either cracker with cheese or pretzel with cheese
Kevin, either way, they were tasty. I'd eat them again, for sure. TFW!
AS an American, had no idea that the first Thanksgiving was in October
Happy early thanksgiving to you chief!!
Ryan, Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. TFW!
My Thanksgiving was last month, but happy early Thanksgiving to you!
You must be in Canada, me thinks....TFW!
My favorite will always be tuna and noodles MRE. They don’t make it anymore. But it was good.
The first thanksgiving started in 1996 when eric clapton was working on developing a holiday to promote people to buy his album pilgrim and also to come up with a way to boost the retail economy for the us armed forces
I hadn't read about that any where else, David. But enquiring minds want to know......TFW!
The pretzels with cheese and pizza rolls are called combos
The last time I saw chunks in a powdered drink was when my Mom and sister shared the last pouch of Swiss Miss hot chocolate. Somehow some insects had gotten into the pouch, and my sister thought that they were little pieces of marshmallow.
The look he made before he ate the chocolate bar
