I stand corrected. Apparently you can upgrade a PS4 disc on a PS5 for the same $10 fee as digital.
And the digital version.
If you are playing on a ps4/pro just use a external SSD the loads times will be cut say it takes 35 seconds on ps4/pro with a HDD on a SSD it will be 20 seconds.
Bought the digital version for the regular, non-pro, PS4 and have been very happy. Not feeling that I'm missing out on anything. Loading times can be longish but tbh it's quite amazing what they squeezed out of the old war horse.
how about graphics the compare gt sport ?

@@Masicram it is i bought it since friends on ps5 are getting it and the core mechanics are great. I dont need a crazy looking game just has to feel amazing to play. Recommend even if you have original ps4. I have a ps4 slim.
May I ask, how's the performance looking on the old PS4? I am really used to playing at high frame rates - thank the PC for that xD - and I would like to know what can I expect from my old thick friend here ;)
I’m amazed with how well GT7 runs on the old fat PS4. Yes the loading times are annoying, but let’s be thankful that Polyphony are still catering to those that can’t get a PS5, very smart.
Imagine if people can’t play FM8 purely because they can’t find a Series S/X anywhere.
Ps4 was only generation has no real gt game. No need to thanx, they owe us.
I’m a PlayStation guy and I bought a gaming laptop…because I couldn’t find a console, I’m happy with the end result, that being said I’m glad I can still enjoy this on my base (sons) ps4…and hopefully Sony incorporates a gamepass like system…because gamepass freaking rocks.
You could just switch out the internal hard drive in it with a SSD

I highly recommend if you have a PS4 buy GT7 yes the loading times are a bit long but the gameplay is where it's at. Its still a beautiful game
yeah the only issues I've had on ps4 were long loading times, and a bit of lag in the opening cutscene in sport mode. that and the monkey on trial mountain isn't there on ps4
@The Truth Console itself sounds normal. In game sound is fantastic. So nothing to really lmao about.
Does the installing it take time?
The loading times was the only thing I noticed, I’m enjoying it immensely so far this morning

@@DarrenExplorz Yeah I'm probably going to skip buying a ps5 because I have GT7 on the PS4 and that's really all I play. The gran turismo titles for the PS6 better blow my mind lol. The fact that the PS4 version holds it's own very well compared to the PS5 version is bittersweet.

Been playing it on ps4 for a few hours, remember playing Alex the kid and wonder boy as a kid so I'm pretty amazed with the graphics.. amazing how far games have come.
From what I've found, the best bang for buck is to upgrade the storage on a PS4 Pro to an SSD, it's not PS5 loading fast, but it'll cut the times in half
Not sure if it would make a lot of difference, but I'm on a PS4 Pro, and I swapped the HD for a Seagate Firecuda SSHD, and I've noticed a big difference in most games. Not only Single Player, but also MP.
Usually, in First Person Shooters, I'd be one of the first to be ready... :)
Been having a blast with this game, it looks amazing , for me is the gran turismo 2 vibe all over again but even better , highly recommend to anyone on the fence about this game.
I just hate the new PP system

I can say that your load time will be up there with the PS4 pro if you get a SSD. I have one and it loads games faster
I have a pro using a Patriot SSD and It loads in less than 15 seconds.
Just to clarify, everything on the PS4 is the same as the PS5 version, the PS5 version has 4k ray tracing and faster loading. That's about it.
Not fussed about the ray tracing and 4K but the loading makes me jealous
Ummm I have a ps4 and the ps5 definitely has better reflections and graphics on the cars themselves
@@kriskater I saw some videos comparing, and, yes, the PS5 version does have better lighting, even without ray tracing. Check the videos on UA-cam.
Edit: it doesn't mean the PS4 version is ugly, check the videos and be the judge yourself.

You can upgrade the PS4 disc version if you have the PS5 disc version, just put in the PS4 disc and pay the same £10 upgrade cost

I was so happy when I learned that GT7 will be on PS4 also so imidiately prior to launch I bought a Samsung SSD and it was sooo worth it. 😎
It is not as fast as PS5 but hey, its only 100 euros.
So I started playing but oh my got the PS4 airline noise was something else... so I made another change, bought Thermal grizly termal paste, cleaned it (the half of heat spreader was stuck with dust) put a new paste on (the original is junk) and I couldnt belive...
It is such a massive difference, the console is pretty much at constant noise level as you are in menu or playing. This for me was really the biggest leap in performance.
So for about 107 Euros I couldnt be more happy to enjoy GT7. 😍👌

I have a series X and just booted up the old ps4 slim that’s been gathering dust and I’m happy with it ! I forgot how loud the ps4 was though and the loading can be kinda long but it’s such a sick game
I also got the PS4 slim, but every time I try to open the World map, the game crashes at the very end of the intro and shows only a black screen.
I still can enter the PS4 menu and quitt the game. Music chase works fine...
Probably be another 2-3 years before I can get a PS5 in the shops for a reasonable amount. No way am I paying £600 for a console worth about £350 tops.

I have it on PS4. The only thing different from the PS5 is the graphics and load time, otherwise, it plays exactly the same. But I always feel sad at the back of my head just how amazing it would look on PS5. It feels as if they slightly downgraded the car detail on the ps4 version from GT Sport.

I was thinking about buying a PS5 for this game, been looking for a couple months and have yet to get my hands on one. Not sure it’s worth it, but I’d like something a little more serious to race than Forza. I have ACC on my PC, but it is so much easier to flop on the couch and fire up the TV than to reconfigure my desk from work to gaming with the wheel and all that, just to run 1 or 2 races and then put it all back for the next day.
Does it have the camera wobble and motion blur in the cockpit view which ps5 has?
GT4 & 5 we’re undoubtedly my favourite racing games ever. Looking back at those gameplay videos the graphics aren’t great. If the gameplay is solid the experience is solid, graphics won’t make a difference to your enjoyment. Especially when it’s PS4 & PS5. Minimal difference.

Is there problems on online multiplayers with the ps4 version?
can't stream due to an issue that is being looked at from ps4. Not sure if the ps5 version has the same problem but the toe settings are inverted. The front is set to zero and the back is set to toe in .2 or .3 IMO this is why the cars are so unstable. With the rears not going straight, they have constant sideways pressure on them as well as being the main forward force motivation. Add a corner or elevation change or both and suddenly the rear tire grip has been overburdened and it comes loose. Also, not sure if it is just the age of my platform or what but I get random crashes when track is loading. Has happened 4 times in as many days for me.

I’m looking for a 2 player game.
Does the ps4 version support psvr? I'm thinking of buying ps4 and want to try the vr
Connected an external SSD drive to PS4 slim. Disabled intro movie. Tracks , menus etc all load much quicker than standard drive. Graphics better than Gt Sport. I am a sim racer and not worried about texture of trees and surrounding scenery, although in saying this it still looks better and impressive on GT7. Have spent about 20+ hours on game and must say that this is way better than GT Sport. The AI even makes mistakes. On multiplayer the penalty system is even better. Car tuning is brilliant.
I decided to buy this ... and can do the cheap online upgrade when I finally get a PS5 some day into the distant unknown future
I'm not interested in multiplayer and do not have plus. I have internet. Can I just do everything else like "old times" not having plus? Thanks
Will it make a difference if i upgrade my base ps4 to a ssd for the loading times, it kinda annoys me when i need to wait more than a minute to return to gt menu

It depends on how many cars u have on track..upto 19 vehicles..i normally have it on 14 to keep the frame rate steady especially in 60fps

Before a few months ago I would have had to take my PS4 to someone's house to download it since I never had unlimited internet. I know the pain you're feeling

It’s a weird gaming time to be in cause so many of the content creators and reviewers are playing on the PS5 and Xbox Series and amazing PC rigs, but majority of the player base are still on the PS4. So what the reviewers experience doesn’t feel relevant to almost all players at this time.
Agreed. They all focus on the PS5 version which does not help the majority of gamers that do not have it yet.

I have just flat out refused to buy a scaled ps5 and have mostly switched to pc. I didn’t even know this game was available for ps4 but may buy it now. Since Microsoft refuses to release real forza games anymore
I've been playing it on a PS4. It runs very well, on the whole. However, the replays can be a bit choppy, defo lots of dropped frames there. The shadows can be a bit funky though, then again they could be on GT Sport.
I'm happy for now since I cannot find a PS5, and gameplay seems ok. I'm happy i can upgrade to a PS5 version
There's going to be a lot of updates over the comming weeks for bugs and glitches and lighting and don't forget the gameplay and a.i. is bit wobbly..its all minor improvements

Can you use the clutch in GT7? One massive downside to GT sport was the no clutch option 😔

You know what? I played a lot of Forza Horizon 2 on the 360 alongside the Xbox One version later and I actually feel like you haven't heard anything good about it because of graphics comparisons and also the lack of people who have actually played it.
Horizon 2 on the 360 seems to keep the same sound engine as Horizon 1, so you get the same type of car sounds originating from the older Motorsport games (which means the 360 version can actually sound better than the One version lol).
The structure of the game feels a lot more like Horizon 1 because of the lack of freedom (which is actually not a bad thing necessarily, since we know what happens when you're let loose with too many options in Horizon 5).
It's honestly a really good game and I'd even say it's worth taking a look at if you prefer Horizon 1 to the other Horizon games.

its obvious to play gt7 on ps5, but it was great to play on ps4, a 9 year-old hardware, while ps5 gets more numbers in stock or even dreaming too much, it is possible to find a future theoretical ps5 slim or 2-terabyte ps5, here in latin america its really hard to find a ps5, but for me its awesome to can play GT7 on my ps4

Right now in denmark the PS5 price is about 195% to 200% MSRP. So about 6400 dkk instead of the 3215 dkk MSRP.
Guys I’ve a question, if I get this game on my ps4 now, would I still be able to access it on my ps5 when I get it in the future? Or would I have to purchase this game again? Talking about the download version btw, not the disc ver.
Just insert the ps4 game in the ps5 and you can upgrade it for $10 to a ps5 version.

Runs no problem on my slim PS4, (had that thing since the day I was released, I should probably get it cleaned, it's a 5 year old system...) But it's worth getting for the PS4, the games code can focus more on the physics, then the graphics, beside the game looks beautiful regardless.
Cars have a lot of aliasing on PS4...Frame drops on spa & nurburgring races. Otherwise, excellent !

Personally, I bought the 25th aniversary edition so I got the PS5 disk and the digital download for PS4. When I can finally get a PS5, everything carries over from one version to the other.

IDK if this'll work but you get a sata ssd and clone your ps4's drive to that and give that a try?, won't be as fast as nvme but if it works will be night and day, also gt7 on ps4 runs way better then horizon 5 on XB1

well th PS5 VERSION STILL has many bugs. so does the PS4 VERSION THE BETTER OPTION ? for example, I have no daily races, then on one of the last lisc. tests there is a dirt track. but since an update the car has regular tires, not DIRT TIRES. I dont know if i should even give POLYPHONY ANY MORE MONEY. this game id a total failure. so is there a big difference and is the PS4 VERSION BUG-FREE?
I am playing it in PS5, I must say best part of the game is dualsense controller. If u are a pad player do not play it PS4. immersion and feedback u get while playing using PS5 controller is on another level. I can’t explain it, u have to try it.
I guess I'll boot the ps4 back up... still many others and I wishing for a PC Release. Would be a great move, as stores have a ps5 shortage and many people can't get a hold of them, also they can compete with Microsoft' Forza. Sony with cross platform title as they added God Of War they could really benefit from another Playstation Title especially Gran Turismo. I was tired of the restrictions and Ps Plus model.
If they do I'll wait 3 months, or a maybe 2 years. But for the next GT they should release both ps4 and pc exact day no hesitation.

I'm on ps4p. I'm finding slow loading times and I'm getting booted regularly from online games other than that I'm finding it a great game.
I'm a huge fan of graphics but I can't complain when I'm a Ps4. The ps4 is expected to have lesser graphics than the Ps5. In fact, the graphics on the ps4 version is unbelievably good for an older generation
Yeah it’s actually pretty good. Got the PS4 Pro… with hopes to one day upgrade to PS5. Don’t really see the need for PS5 rn. I will say… no ultra-wide screen support is a let down. I fully enjoy Forza Horizon 5 on my pc too.

The Ps4 is working very well until you get to GT races. I have found .If you like the core game of getting cars and modifying them the game works well .It also has some interesting styles in the mission section .One is where you have to conserve fuel to finish a lap .And it is timed .Anther was a race with a very underpowered car on a hilly track .If you dont get the corner right you loose momentum .An interesting dynamic .Really the game cries for the PS5 but is a good compromise for the PS4 . Some of the GT racing is just too crowded with cars and the is staggering of the framerate .The license section is more diificult than previos games .Especially the rally tests .
Yeh good luck with getting the cars , don't go down the micro transaction route , your looking at about £200 for the mclaren f1 to buy in real money !!

With an SSD in your PS4 the load time is only 3 seconds slower on GT7 a PS5 loads it in 15 secs a PS4 with an SSD takes 18 secs and one with a HDD takes 48 secs to load, I just spent $100 on an SSD for my PS4 I think the graphics for GT7 actually look better on PS4 on PS5 the track is just kinda flat and there but on 4 the track is detailed

I tell you it's look super on PS4 and it's not so much different! We've played on both Stations and the different are not so much! Why must have different the loading time is a lit bit longer, I don't think that PS4 hold off the PS5 in Online modus!!

Added widebody to my car and the loading time is stuck on 33%. Pathetic and annoying
