    I remember years ago I had a LGB and it produced one of the most mellow shaving edges ever . The la verte I always found them to produce a good keen coticule edge . Excellent technique

      Thanks Gary. My LGB is fun, great one stone hone in its own right. But I am a sucker for finishing on oil on a hard Coti. Have a great weekend.

    That Le Verte is one gorgeous stone. Great video. I could almost feel the edge on the stone :)

      It’s really hard as for a Cotis go, but more engaging and feel than a Hybrid Coti. I does have nice feedback.

    Short and sweet video. Could you have changed the order of your coticules and got the same result? I have a few coticules but I believe they are all pretty much the same with the exception of the first one I bought (Ardenes) the other three are hard vintage. I was planning on getting a Les Lat but I normally do the full progression with just one stone and I am not that familiar with coticules. BTW, I know that these are natural stones and that every stone is different but I am talking generally.

    • @Eric_TheCajunBlade
      @Eric_TheCajunBlade  Місяць тому +1

      Not all coticuels are created equal but I have not found one that could not hone a razor. No I don’t think it would hand been the same. Some harder coticules finish to a finer/keener level than others. I am a coticule lover and have had a bunch. The variation between stones is the thing I love the most. If I wanted a 1-2-3-4 easy hone I would just use synthetics. IMO, Figuring out the puzzle of any natural stone is the most addictive thing in this hobby. Happy thanksgiving and have a great weekend. Thanks for watching and Happy honing!
