Hi Tom, the reason the Walther .22 guns don’t have the slide proof mark below the ejection port is that, as the slides are thinner, the marking distorted the slide, so they moved the mark to a more solid part of the slide to avoid this. As you say “only in the thinner .22’s. “ Great video btw.
I collect .32 ACP/7.65mm pistols and I know (thanks to Ian Fleming) Walthers are quite desirable. But I cannot afford those I have seen. But I did find a Manurhin PP with all the Walther patent markings. They haven't been quite discovered yet. (Perhaps I shouldn't mention that variation.) Both these are historical significant or at least interesting.
Thank you Tom.....

Walther is so underappreciated in the States! Thanks for bringing light to the darkness.
Only the younger crowd, many older collectors want them
My EDC is a PPKs in 380acp.. I also have a P38 with the original theater ticket from its capture in operation dragon in the south of France..
Love to see Tom continuing his passion! Great video as always!
Pretty guns. Nice to see them kept so well over the decades
Always a big thanks

Can you do a video about the PPs and PPKs made by Manurhin after the war?
❤
I really enjoy your Videos, Sir.
