Very useful, even though somewhat repetitive suggestions from your previous videos. I generally follow your recommendations. But one thing you've recommended to switch off, that I've since reverted back to the factory setting(s) of being "on", is the "use mobile data" (or cell data as you call it) for apps downloads etc. The consequence I found by switching that function to "off", was none of the A/V media and/or photo files sent to me via Viber or WhatsApp will work, unless I was connected to Wi-Fi. Turning this feature back on, allowed these files to once again be played, irrespective if I'm connected to Wi-Fi or not. I much prefer the convenience of that, than saving mobile data.
I activated nearly all of your suggested settings changes in this and your other videos and my 14 Pro battery is above 70% after a day of moderate usage. Thank you for your help.

The whole Cellular section is absent from my iPhone 14 Pro but many features can be found by searching. The “turn on this line”, however, is not one of them. Text message forwarding is the same. Thank you so much for this precious guide, guys!!
In Cellular, i also turn off Wifi Assist, as it's very sneaky. Basically, as soon as your wifi signal is judged as not good enough, it starts using Cellular Data to help with the wifi. The catch? Your phone does this while still showing you as connected to Wifi. When I first got my iPhone, i saw that I was using a lot more data than I was on Android, but had not changed anything. I was losing over 1g per month because of this! Turn it off! Especially if you don't have a super big Data plan.

I have a new iPhone 14 Pro Max with Preserve Settings ON. Flash ON (not Flash Auto). When I toggle the flash off and then on, it defaults to Flash Auto. Can I get it to preserve the setting ON rather than Flash Auto?
I have never had an app or game download the huge in app updates automatically while having Automatic Downloads enabled for Cellular. I always have to open the app and then it will download that data if I choose to. So I’m a little confused about that part of the video?
Haptic feedback is something I’ve been waiting years for, but it’s not very strong and I’m kind of depressed about it. I hope they let us customize the strength in the future

I heard nothing back. I realize you guys love to focus on the phones and that’s cool, that’s why I asked the Discord community if they knew of a channel that was as great as yours that worked with iPads, again no answer. I’m a subscribed member to your site, and I also purchased a David+ subscription. What I’m trying to convey is that I feel unheard. Under Cellular I dont have anything called Turn on this line, but maybe thats because im in another country than you and dont use e-sim, instead it says something like "choice of network" - and then it shows the name of my operator, and if I click it there is a switch turned on saying automatic.

hi guys fyi. my iphone mini 12- Face-ID is not detecting ever since updated to iOS 16 & the 16.1 as well . first some error with “Silence mode” on/off by itself endlessly . than i reset the setting well never better, so i did the factory setting to refresh the phone, but there is no solution for the Face-ID. why this iphone technical department is very poor in solving issues before exposed any iOS to iphone users. real dum-dum technicians they having for do nothing .. can you guys give me some solution in your next videos . thanks ,kumar from Malaysia
I dont agree about turning off Proress and ProRaw in settings, except if you know for sure that you will never use any of them, and leaving them on does no harm. But it just allows you to turn them on /off in the camera app so its nice to have if you want to use them one day without having to go to settings to turn the switches on to make them visible in the camera app. And specially if you have the 14 pro and want to take photos with 48mp you need to have ProRaw enabled in order to do that. Yes the size is bigger but for those special moments where you want the best you can get from the camera it is nice to have. Also you can use the shortcut that you linked to in another video, when installed it gives you the option to convert the ProRaw 48mp photo into a much smaller jpeg photo by clicking the share button, there will be a new option in there at the bottom to convert it. It still keeps the 48mp resolution and good image quality after convertion, but the size will be much smaller. After that you can delete the org. 48mp photo to free up some space, and then only keep the converted photo.
Also for preserve settings most people will be happier with camera mode switch turned off, this way when you close the app it will return to photo mode next time you open the app, and people use photo most of the time anyways, so its better to have it reset to that by default and then if you want to shoot a video you can just press and hold the shutter button and it will start recording video even when you are on photo mode. This way you dont have to switch back and forth between video and photo, much faster and easier.
@@danmacmillan88 In the photos app when you are viewing a live photo that you want to convert, but you need to have the shortcut installed first before you see the option under share.

5:52 no don't mis information auto brightness is using sensor so it will drain battery more use brightness according to your needs ..
