I had the pleasure of seeing Zapp perform live. Managed to get my record signed by Lester and Zapp himself. They put on such a show and Zapp did a damn backflip. Towards the end he climbed off the stage and a bunch of us followed him back on stage with the group.

So talented, huge part of music history: Zapp. Tragic 1999 yes 😔😪, tragic later of Roger's son and granddaughter...Rest.all...Am honored to have been part (& still am) of their fan base that kept Zapp in prayer & helped keep their performance, creative flames aglow, though God is the ultimate giver of all strength before, during & after hard times, tragedy & hearbreak. Man I just saw Zapp get their star on the Black Music Walk Of Fame in Cincinnati. Zapp came out a gave up the Funk after the ceremony. All I felt was love coming off of that stage.

When Dayton’s Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center - aka the Funk Center - opened in December 2017, locals delighted in it marrying a proud musical tradition with hope for the revival of a city long down on its luck. They did George Clinton dirty.The Roger project was suppose to be released by George created lable called Uncle Jam records.So Warner Bros heard Roger's project which belong to George label and Warner Bros talked Roger into release his album with them.
I think that was during the time he may have owed them money so they just eliminated the middle man out if the equation
Clinton had a side deals against the record label and he worked another artist project instead zapp and roger cause bootsy introduced them
