An wooden cuticle stick helps remove acrylic without damaging it. I made the mistake of using a metal cuticle pusher which ruined my other favorite brush . I ended up tossing it . 😢

My brush has a huge chunk stuck in it. Is it even salvageable? My teacher says it's not.

If you soak it in acetone over night before going in with monomer it could help. I say tey that before throwing it away.

Yes soak it in acetone I had a big ol clump of acrylic stuck in my brush I even had gem glue stuck on a brush I soaked it in acetone over night and then followed up with monomer and they are good as new. You might have to soak it clean it and repeat if it’s bad but I say it can be salvageable especially if it’s an expensive brush.

Just regular cuticle oil or any hair oil to moisturize the hair brush
