I must say, these tutorials are absolutely awesome! Very informative and detailed with a lot of "tricks". Got some new ideas as well from watching these! :)
Thank you Sir! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain the why for each setting & value. It lets the learner put that tool into their toolbox for when they're making their own particle systems rather than just copying a tutorial step for step without really understanding what they're doing. VFX Graph and Shader Graph have been two big hurdles for me and this has made understanding those behemoths much easier. Again, I can't thank you enough!
Awesome ! Thanks for this !
Good work, man.
thanks for teaching!
looks great
When you recorded, what did you use to capture the input overlay in the bottom right? Nice touch.
Good Job, what tools did you used to generate that smoke flipbook texture?
Is there a way to make the fire not start at the beginning of the scene but already be at full strength at the beginning. I think they call it prewarm particles? Right now when you enter a scene all the torches lit up at once instead of already being lit up. Makes sense?
How did you set up yur diffusion profile? I mean did you just tweaked settings to your liking or there are any adviced values for smoke?
There's no normal map for wispy smoke in your link
Ahhh ❤it seems it was another tuto impossible to success cause missing ressources 😢😢
Why i didn't have the output particle lit quad....
Was the smoke normals flipbook also available? It isn't listed in the blog post (that I can see).
I cannot find the normal either
@@zoltanborbas9080 never did find them myself, sorry.
Yup, seems still missing and author unfortunately is MIA. :(
How can I get ahold of that smoke diffusion profile? I don't think it is part of the VFX graph samples
@@thomasiche8734 Hi Thomas, the HDRP asset was changed in the newer versions, and I cannot reference the Diff Profile manually. Is there a way around this?
@@istvanerdos6641 You can go to Project Settings -> HDRP Default settings and add them to default diffusion profiles list at the bottom.
what does VFX mean if its named Visual Effect Graph?
Excuse me..
Let me ask you a question.
Where is ‘Render Sort mode’?
This is a good symbol of fire. Certainly not a Bonfire though. Stack those logs higher than a man in a square frame. Is it hot enough to cook bone?
mine doesnt have high definition rp
Spoiler Alert: as of 1/2022 Output Particle Lit Quad is still not available for URP.
When i create the visual effect asset i get error and if i put asset in to the scene it doesnt play.
Error:
Shader error in 'Hidden/VFX/bonfire/System/Output Particle Quad': redefinition of 'PackHeightmap' at directory/Common.hlsl(1202)
is this happening because im not in hdrp?
Bro it is not shwoing those particles for me
