This guy explains everything good. I looked through a lot of videos and to this date I still can't find a similar video for this part and year for 2007 Dodge Charger.
Thank you! That was my intention for this video because I wasn’t able to find a similar video myself! So when making this, I wanted to make it so simple and easy to find and fix lol 😃
idk if this fixes my issue, 2010 Charger 3.5 V6, my temp is usually at 155 to 185 depending on outsite temp when its supposed to be 195+ no matter the ambient temp. it takes TOO long to warm up, even if its 100 degrees hot outside, itll warm up at idle at 205+ until the fan kicked in forcing it back down to 185, but as soon as i start driving 45+ it goes down QUICK! i mean from 205 to 175(depending on ambient temp) under a minute, especially highway speed 70mph. at 60 degree weather at 70mph most she'll warms up is 170 to 175 untill i cranked the heater on, down she goes to 158 or 155. again depending on ambient temp, Thermostat and water pump has been replaced and is STILL doing this crap. (i got these digital temp read out using Andriod Torque app)
Thanks man! Same here, I’ve been searching online for weeks on where my Coolant Temp. sensor was located after I got code P0117, and couldn’t find the answer. Come to find out, it wasn’t even my Coolant Temp Sensor! I just had a leak in the radiator that caused the sensor to not read the correct engine temperature that’s caused it to throw that code at me! Lol Well, I’m glad the video was hopeful for you and good luck with your Charger.
We just put a motor from one to another and we can't figure out where a clip connects to on the left side of the motor. Could anyone possibly help me out here? Thanks
Hey, I think I have to change mine. Did you have to bleed the air out and add more coolant afterwards? Most videos and the repair manual say you do, but I don’t see why it’s necessary..
From my opinion, you don’t “have” to bleed the air out nor add more coolant, but I personally did flush out my coolant just to give it brand new coolant to cycle through. Good question btw!
Auto Ride Tipper gotcha, I’m getting a DTC P2181 and occasionally the lightening bolt illuminates and then goes away. Noticing the temperature sensor doesn’t move when turned on, so I’m just thinking sensor might just be going out. Did you have any of these issues before you changed yours?
Dorian Thompson It could be, but I didn’t experience any of those problems. My issue was I wasn’t getting any circulation because my radiator was leaking coolant and radiator fans were not working, which caused my car to overheat really fast and the gauge will always be on the hot side which than caused my car to overheat and slowly stop working while driving
Bailey Skelton correct, you will need to because if not it will leak everywhere. I didn’t have to bleed mine because mine already leaked out due to the crack in my radiator Which I change shortly after
Killa Kalli323 The Temp Gauge on your dashboard would run hot, and cause your car to overheat and not run properly. Interestingly enough, after changing mines it still didn’t fix the issue with my car. It was my Radiator that was cracked and leaking my anti-freeze. I went to an LKQ you pick, you pull scrap yard and replaced it. Haven’t had the issue since. What’s going on with your car?
Auto Ride Tipper mine turned hot all the way to red while I was in a drive thru and I turned it off. But my fan will only turn on with a/c on not when it runs hot tho?
Marvin Stanley I don’t think so, I never had my hands on one to see. With that year bring a later generation than mines, it may be assembled differently. Good luck in finding yours. They’re tricky and hard to find, so join some forums and ask around.

Some helpful advice to use needle nose vice grips for those factory style hose clamps.
Thanks. I needed this. I got a 2006 300 touring 3.5L and it's the same engine as yours
lordsirrahmagic Nice! Glad this was able to help!
Did you replace the connector also or just the sensor?
Jordan McGuire Just the sensor
Thanks bro. I needed this. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
A1JiggBeats definitely!
Much appreciated on this knowledge transfer thank you stay safe
Thanks man! I’m glad you were able to find this video useful. Stay safe as well
Very helpful thank you so much my brother
Definitely bro, I’m glad this video was a big help 🎉
Thanks bro, 2010 300
My man thanks for the video 🖤
Any time bro!

Hello friend, thanks for the video that measure is the one you use to remove the sensor
SEBASTIAN ABARCA correct! Same one I used
Thanks🙌🏾I was wondering where it was located at.
Of course! Glad the video helped!
What's the issue does a car have to had to change that. Coolant sensor?or what benefits gives you!
Mire un video que si no lo tienes puede causar problemas para meter los cambios, mi magnum no lo tiene voy a ponérselo porque tengo el mismo problema
THANKS FOR GREAT HELP.
I WAS SEARCHING THE LOCATION IN MY CHARGER 2008 AS ITS THROWING CODE P0118.

@@autoridetipper286 thanks buddy, i got very lucky in my case as sensor connector was little loose. now perfectly fine :)

Did it work for you? In getting the lightning bolt on my SRT8 and was wondering if it was the coolant temp sensor as well
@@lsluis5695 I just tried to change mines now I have a lighting bolt & check engine light
Do you disconnect the battery also I was asking because that would reset it like there wasn't a code
Can i still drive my car? It’s not overheating but the fan is on..
Yes, that’s okay, but I’d say figure out and tackle the issue soon a possible.
How do I drain some fluid from my 2010 before I do this
I have asked a few others who say I need to bleed my coolant before changing are you sure you do not need to?
Bailey Skelton correct, you will need to because if not it will leak everywhere. I didn’t have to bleed mine because mine already leaked out due to the crack in my radiator Which I change shortly after
How do you know you when you need to change it?

Killa Kalli323 Sounds similar to my issue, what’s your Anti- freeze level like? Is it leaking?
Auto Ride Tipper no leaks and I changed to new anti freeze and it still gets hot so I’m not moving it
Auto Ride Tipper wonder if the temperature sensor would help the fan come on without the a/c
Yo you think this works on a 08 charger
It just might🤔 try it out and let me/us know bro😃
P2181? Code ?
Would it be located in the same spot as 2012 dodge charger SE?
Marvin Stanley I don’t think so, I never had my hands on one to see. With that year bring a later generation than mines, it may be assembled differently. Good luck in finding yours. They’re tricky and hard to find, so join some forums and ask around.
Do you screw the sensor all the way in?
No so much of screwing in but definitely Make sure it comfortably fits in there 😄
@@autoridetipper286 i probably stripped mines i might have to get helicoil and create a new thread
@@Lashard89 I’ve seen success with that method! Personally I’d probably just grab another one at the nearest auto store lol
do anyone know what size socket did he say 19mm? what does the lighting bolt have to do with this mines comes on
He said 3/4 deep socket
the lighting bolt is your throttle body
3x4??? What the hell???
I know huh lol
19 mm
