    This guy explains everything good. I looked through a lot of videos and to this date I still can't find a similar video for this part and year for 2007 Dodge Charger.

      Thank you! That was my intention for this video because I wasn’t able to find a similar video myself! So when making this, I wanted to make it so simple and easy to find and fix lol 😃

    idk if this fixes my issue, 2010 Charger 3.5 V6, my temp is usually at 155 to 185 depending on outsite temp when its supposed to be 195+ no matter the ambient temp. it takes TOO long to warm up, even if its 100 degrees hot outside, itll warm up at idle at 205+ until the fan kicked in forcing it back down to 185, but as soon as i start driving 45+ it goes down QUICK! i mean from 205 to 175(depending on ambient temp) under a minute, especially highway speed 70mph. at 60 degree weather at 70mph most she'll warms up is 170 to 175 untill i cranked the heater on, down she goes to 158 or 155. again depending on ambient temp, Thermostat and water pump has been replaced and is STILL doing this crap. (i got these digital temp read out using Andriod Torque app)

      Thanks man! Same here, I’ve been searching online for weeks on where my Coolant Temp. sensor was located after I got code P0117, and couldn’t find the answer.
      Come to find out, it wasn’t even my Coolant Temp Sensor! I just had a leak in the radiator that caused the sensor to not read the correct engine temperature that’s caused it to throw that code at me! Lol
      Well, I’m glad the video was hopeful for you and good luck with your Charger.

    Hey,
    I think I have to change mine. Did you have to bleed the air out and add more coolant afterwards? Most videos and the repair manual say you do, but I don’t see why it’s necessary..

    • @autoridetipper286
      @autoridetipper286  4 роки тому

      From my opinion, you don’t “have” to bleed the air out nor add more coolant, but I personally did flush out my coolant just to give it brand new coolant to cycle through. Good question btw!

    • @dorianthompson2594

      Auto Ride Tipper gotcha, I’m getting a DTC P2181 and occasionally the lightening bolt illuminates and then goes away. Noticing the temperature sensor doesn’t move when turned on, so I’m just thinking sensor might just be going out. Did you have any of these issues before you changed yours?

    • @autoridetipper286
      @autoridetipper286  4 роки тому

      Dorian Thompson It could be, but I didn’t experience any of those problems. My issue was I wasn’t getting any circulation because my radiator was leaking coolant and radiator fans were not working, which caused my car to overheat really fast and the gauge will always be on the hot side which than caused my car to overheat and slowly stop working while driving

    • @lsluis5695
      @lsluis5695 3 роки тому

      Did it work for you? In getting the lightning bolt on my SRT8 and was wondering if it was the coolant temp sensor as well

    I have asked a few others who say I need to bleed my coolant before changing are you sure you do not need to?

    • @autoridetipper286
      @autoridetipper286  4 роки тому +2

      Bailey Skelton correct, you will need to because if not it will leak everywhere. I didn’t have to bleed mine because mine already leaked out due to the crack in my radiator Which I change shortly after

  • @Jaekeepzit100
    @Jaekeepzit100 4 роки тому +1

    How do you know you when you need to change it?

    • @autoridetipper286
      @autoridetipper286  4 роки тому

      Killa Kalli323 The Temp Gauge on your dashboard would run hot, and cause your car to overheat and not run properly.
      Interestingly enough, after changing mines it still didn’t fix the issue with my car. It was my Radiator that was cracked and leaking my anti-freeze. I went to an LKQ you pick, you pull scrap yard and replaced it. Haven’t had the issue since.
      What’s going on with your car?

    • @Jaekeepzit100
      @Jaekeepzit100 4 роки тому +1

      Auto Ride Tipper mine turned hot all the way to red while I was in a drive thru and I turned it off. But my fan will only turn on with a/c on not when it runs hot tho?

    • @autoridetipper286
      @autoridetipper286  4 роки тому

      Killa Kalli323 Sounds similar to my issue, what’s your Anti- freeze level like? Is it leaking?

    • @Jaekeepzit100
      @Jaekeepzit100 4 роки тому

      Auto Ride Tipper no leaks and I changed to new anti freeze and it still gets hot so I’m not moving it

      Marvin Stanley I don’t think so, I never had my hands on one to see. With that year bring a later generation than mines, it may be assembled differently. Good luck in finding yours. They’re tricky and hard to find, so join some forums and ask around.
