I went to the sifter link, and voila! There it was with a bunch of dope leaves to the left and right. I'm sticking with the one I made 20 years ago with a belt and old motor cam shaft. Drugs have gotten to every generation now it seems. Great video though Matt.

As someone who has sifted many worm castings bins I can tell you that is one amazing machine. You said 90% saving on time I think you were just being humble I would say more like around 96% savings on time energy wile also saving your back. I used a hand made sifter 1/8 inch holes and it would take forever and my back would be hurting after doing 1 bin about 5 gallons. If I had the extra money I would purchase that machine for sure. I would feel absolutely comfortable scaling my worm composting up to the next level if I had that machine. Great video.

Great video. Like the portability. Ive got a similar in design static old school wooden made grain sifter. It utilises 2 screens placed over the top of each other with integral under trays that exit at the side (the trays and chutes vibrate as well). This increases the sifting area and makes collection easier. The trays and screens are lightweight and dont add significantly to the weight. Also it has a small hopper to feed the material in evenly & gradually which saves overloading the screen & having to dash about trying to sweep the material back up all the time? It is also possible to add baffles and canvas strips positioned across and above(or laying flat on) the screen to slow the progress of the material to allow it to grade more thoroughly?😁

What kind of power does the motor have? Is it just a 1HP rotational or would it be less?
There's a TED talk by a compost expert by the title of "you're composting wrong" (or something to that effect). This fascinating talk was about leaf mold, and how some people think we shouldn't add anything to leaves, bit also how it's important to break up the leaves. Just a top notch discussion

Curious what kind of motor it uses I'm debating on building my own using a dishwasher or laundry machine motor.
Seen a concrete or table shaker on Amazon for like $30+.
Well i am totally confused 2 months ago i ordered red wigglers from local dealer it was my 1st experience few days ago i again ordered red wigglers but from an other dealer when i got them they was like juvenile but their clitellum was fully developed. As compare to my old wigglers the new one is half of my wigglers. New one are slim and old one is fat can any you tell me thats wrong with them? Or they belong from another species? Please avoid my English.
Probably they need food they will slim out from lack of food

I want to do this, but only have a small amount of worms. How long would it take to breed 500k worms from about 1000? Would you recommend buying more worms?
well, if you double worms every 60-90 days, and don't have any catastrophes - looks like it wouldn't be too long.

I would use a soft rubber squeegie screwed to the board the widtch of the channel minus 1", easier on the worms, use the board as your grip, just saying

That’s one way to look at it, Dustin. For me, tools are an investment - sifting and selling 10 tons of castings a year, it’s part of the business plan.

Someone need to teach that dog some etiquette he has the some of the worst manners a family or ranch dog could possibly develop.. In so many of your videos its hard to get through without being so annoyed by the end trying to listen to you with that dog barking & barking. Especially when the kids are around running around having fun he gets so excited I don't know if he thinks barking is some kind of benefit but its only because nobody has explained to him its not something good dogs do and its just not polite under these conditions.. I Just can't imagine a weekend BBq ...
