I own a set of Cerwin Vega DX-9's 4 ohm, 400 watt beasts! I have re-foamed the woofers, will soon upgrade Caps. These are hands down the best I've ever had. I recently had some stereo buddies over to just listen to everyone's favorite tunes. The guys could not believe their ear's, two of them are searching now for a pair just like mine. I am 62, and my grown son's both want these speakers left to them in the will, that's great, wonder which one will get them.
I’m posting in the comments here because the comments were turned off on your video I just watched. The video was you running down Japanese speakers from the 60-70-80’s . I happened to have a lot of these speakers and they have held up great for me. Most of mine are from the 70’s. Samsun, kenwood, and Coral .All that I bought overseas, still to this day have the surrounds intact.I guarantee you that most Cerwin Vegas from this era are shot out or have been redone.Japanese speakers ruled this era!
You posted a video of a panasonic 7800 quad recoever. Can you show a better picture of the back? I believe I have the turntable that came with it. It has proprietary hookup plugs. I want to see if that reciever has matching jacks on the back!
Boston acoustics lynnfield vr series from the 90ts . Those are absolute amazing, vr20,vr30,vr40 love them even still today a excellent speaker. USA Made and designed back in those days. Now they are taken over by some Chinese holding company years ago . China Made garbage now Magnepan needless to say always has been present and the prices new are very very affordable and a insane good quality. Bowers and wilkins I like the 80ts better the 802s80 and 801s80 and matrix series were amazing. After that they went pretty generic, aside from their very high end lineup .. Magnat never was my thing, I know they made some pretty good models but not for me.
Sorry, but the Chinese Vegas are not that bad! Better then alot of stuff that they offer today! I have Cerwin Vega DX9,s and the XLS215. The dx9 is better sounding but the xls has much better bass!
Well, Sanyo made a lot of equipment for many brands, and they was a huge company with many different products. LOL but they was never a company that made a huge impact in any way shape or form.

For me in the 70s the Pioneers HPM series were sounding wonderful and the Tannoy D700s from the 90s are for me the best speakers at any price

And now you see why. You had Japanese speakers and they sounded good, as did you Cerwins 🤣 anything sounds good compared to those shitty things.

Turn auto focus off your camera hard to watch
Go take an excedrin and put a cold rag on your eyes and chill. That works for my migraines
