Hi Kevin. Yes this was 2 years ago they had to replace the entire right lane on the 3 lane bridge because it was about to crumble. It always amazes me how they can do all of that on a bridge so high and scary with open railings. I love these bridges. What I love best about them is how you can see the amazing engineering on the other bridge as you drive across one of them. 😀 Thanks for the comment!
@@shannongreenwell1278 The tunnels are on a different bridge, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel that goes from Virginia Beach to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This bridge goes from Annapolis MD to Kent Island MD. They are planning to build another bridge at this site by 2040.

@@shannongreenwell1278 This bridge is 4 miles long so yeah that would be exhausting! You can't ride bikes on the bridge luckily. 😀
