I got a whole bunch of shit just waiting in my garage cause I don't even have the space or lift to do anything more than basics. Got parts for suspension rebuild, ZZP heat exchanger and hose kit, sway bars and bushings. After that I wanna get new injectors, bigger CAI then a tune to finish it off and finally worry about the paint
@@6double6.All thats super easy i did most of that this year. Youd really just need a floor jack for all that. But theres diy garages around denver and the springs where you can pay to use a shop/lift. Itd be easy to do all that in a day. Hardest part would be taking the front bumper off to do the CAI and hose kit but you dont really need to take it off if you dont want to. And suspension is pretty easy and straight forward. the only part thats a bitch about that part is running the sway bar through if you have one. Id leave the injectors for last you can just take em in when you get your tune and have the shop install em for you. I take my balt to mofab to get it dyno tuned
Have you looked into using the silicone lubricant for the caliper pins? I think it might work better. Then again, you have more experience than me. I also had an issue there the pin with the rubber piece seized. I probably could have used heating element but unseize it. I did see it done with an electric hot plate and it worked. I ended up buying other bracket and all new pins. I use the silicone paste from 3m for the calipers, the copper anti seize for the metal on metal, and medium grade locktite for to bolt everything down to correct torque. It works just fine. Now that the winter is almost over, I am going to check it and since I may have it apart reapply the stuff. Couldn't hurt. #quadstatecameras
The AGS lubricant I used after the Permatex is a Silicone based one. So I hope that it will work. From what I read online is that some people are saying you really don't need that rubber piece of the caliper pin. But I wouldn't want to find out what might happen if I took it out. The engineers put it there for a reason 😅. Plus the whole kit was under $10. So good piece of mind when servicing the braking system. That's crazy that you had to get new caliper brackets. Must have been alot of moisture in them.
Hey man have you happened to do the thermostat on your SC? I need to do mine and the vids I find are for the 2.2 or 2.4 granted it should be the same but I'm not really sure. And the jumble gm mess on the driver side of engine bay doesn't help locate the housing lmao 😂
No I have not. I have a small leak where the water pump is at. I dont think im up to doing that job. I have to look into it but from what I've seen it's a very involved job to do. Especially it having to do with the timing sprocket. I haven't seen many people lately take on that job on YT either.
TC. Got it tuned in 2013. I moved to Cali (Chula Vista) and left it sitting at my parents house in Texas for over 6 years. I just got it shipped over here about 6 months ago. I had forgotten how much fun it is to drive!

I got an 07 model just like yours and I absolutely love it. did a stage 2 zzp upgrade and it hauls some ass lol
