Two episodes into our Western Australia adventures and we’ve found our favourite beach in Australia! That’s where we kick off this episode before heading out to the very remote Cape Arid National Park. Here we find ourselves doing a bit of 4WDing and getting bogged on multiple occasions. Then we head back into Esperance and check out the most famous beach of them all; Lucky Bay!
In this episode we:
Spend a day swimming, paddleboarding, snorkelling and beach driving at Wharton Beach
Take a walk up to Snake Rock Lookout
Head out to the Cape Arid National Park and the Yokinup Mia Mia campground
Spend a day beach driving and find ourselves getting stuck in the super soft sand of Cape Arid
Head back into Esperance where we spend an afternoon at Blue Haven Beach, before heading out to the most famous beach of all: Lucky Bay.
We hope you enjoyed watching this episode and thanks so much for the support and kindness on our videos! We're on the trip of a lifetime as we travel Australia full-time so subscribe now to see the whole adventure.

Awesome, looks so fun. I love your positive attitudes!
Thanks Danica 😁
Go you good thing 🍻🍻🍾
Thanks Dave ✊🏼✊🏼
Great video! What a beautiful place.
Hey Joe, that’s a pretty special part of the world down there 🤩😎
Amazing esperance is the best kept secret on earth…..lucky bay recently named the most beautiful beach in the world kangarooo heaven …. Incredible footage absolutely loving your journey in our great state ….. west is best 😂😂😂❤
Absolutely love it down there hey. The beaches are pristine and water colour and clarity out of this world!! We agree with you there 😎😁
@@our.australia.trip. very special area seeing you both in awe as you had just arrived in the state was fun paradise in the middle of nowhere what a country we live in ❤️❤️🙏🙏
Nice one guys. Good to see Hayley driving the 79 too.
She’s definitely got the hang of it now! I better look out or I might find myself in the passenger seat more often 😅
@@our.australia.trip. definitely not a bad thing riding shotgun. She'll be droning soon enough too, better way for the both of you 2 to enjoy your trip. Be safe.
We were also really impressed with park camps in Australia and particularly in WA (from NZ)
Great to have 4 Maxi's
They are a great cheat code & may sit on the roof 99% of the time but a good insurance policy for situations like this!
Bush chooks, wind and tyre pressure. Welcome to WA!
You're in my favourite part of the south coast. Sssh! Don't tell anyone about it, please. Let the mob find their Insta moments at Lucky Bay with everyone else.👃
Haha I’m with you!! Love it down there & looking forward to seeing more 😀
Sounds sweet as 👍👌
Cheers Rich, we love it too can't beat the single turbo 1vd sound IMO 👌
Over here in WA on soft sand tracks 12-15psi (12 when it gets really soft) and get yourself a set of CampBoss 4x4 tyre deflators which you have preset & you can deflate all 4 tyres at same time very quickly. Diff-lockers front & rear ensures all 4 tyres are pulling on those soft boggy tracks
We were soon to forget about soft sand after spending so long in SA where hard pack sand seems to be everywhere. We have an indeflate which is good but sometimes a stick is just too convenient 🤣 Watching back the vid, I can't believe I forgot to engage the lockers - I guess I was just eager to test the maxtracks out for the first time... 😅
nice to know that some one thinks to reverse to try to get out of a sand bog another hint put longer ropes on your tracks and tie them to an out rig pole and you won't have to walk for them
Momentum is your best friend on sand right!? Great tip John & thanks for watching 🤙
I bought 2 x 5 watt GME hand held radios and snake bit kit plus a epirb for remote areas
Yep we went with the gme radios too & will look into getting a PLB
Thanks team, another top vid enjoy your journeysThanks.
Gday Doug & thanks for tuning in mate!
Hope your well & will keep them coming 🤙🏼
Esperance is a drone/video/stills photographers dream ❤️
Yeah you neighbours from the east dunno how bloody good WAs beaches are. Buckle up guys! 😁
Keep enjoyin 🤙✌️
Too right! Keen to see the rest of WA if this is just the start 🤩😁
@@our.australia.trip. & get up into the better weather ☀️
Are you doing Rotto on the way up?
Hopefully! If the wind & weather is kind on whatever day is convenient to head over 😊
Patsy's doing a great job in the big rig. Boy, how I miss a manual transmission.
She’s a great driver Rob & yes the manual is all apart of the experience in the cruiser! 🙏🏼
We helped the Lucky Bay Park Ranger when he got bogged in the exact same spot. He was out there showing some friends Taigon beach and went straight down to the axels, Its very soft sand. 😁😁
Thanks for the little bit of redemption that we’re not that useless off road 😂
So many people have messaged us saying that they got bogged in that exact spot 🤷🏻♂️😅
@our.australia.trip. oh yeah its super soft at that last bend! We got through ok heading to the beach, but had to stop as they waved us down to help on our way out which caused us to nearly get bogged 🤣 Maxtrax for the win!
You two always make it look like you’re having the best time. Really enjoying your videos 👍👍👍
Cheers Dave & hope your having a great weekend yourself mate! No smoke & mirrors here, if the times look good that’s because they are 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Thanks for tuning in once again 😁
Great video guys. We are heading that way in two weeks again, via Dunsborough, Augusta, Pemberton, Denmark, Albany. Never know might cross paths one day. Keep enjoying those Bush Chooks in the red cans Brad. 🍻🍻🍻
Cheers John! Nice & hope the weather is kind! Keep your eyes peeled mate & will do 🍻🍻
Man. That looks like another great place in our great country. Also, what’s the thought behind your windscreen sun strip at the lower edge?
It’s unreal Mick! We have that to reduce glare into the cab. The 70 series have quite a steep angled windshield. Prior to Barossa we had a think strip of tint which worked wonders until we had to replace the windshield. We tried out the sun screen over the Nullarbor but we prefer the tint.
Your truck sound's so sweet, And your Wife is just so lovely and always (that we see) happy and Bubbly. ps. Great videos too keep up the good work.
Hi Lewis & thanks for the kind words. The note on the cruiser is just perfect in my opinion. Patsy is always like that, except for when I give her reason not to be 😂🤷🏻♂️
The cruiser sounds mint mate! Great footage guys very jealous 😂
Thanks Brendan, absolutely love this ute. Will be a sad day when we have to let it go 🥲
@@our.australia.trip. we own a 76 series 2021… I won’t be letting it go! We love it!
Good work again Brad and Hayley. Thanks for sharing this adventure
Hey Jason, no worries mate - thanks for watching as always 🙏🏼🍻
Awesome guys
Thanks Jade 😁
Another great episode. A beautiful part of Australia.
Too right Garry! Gotta be one of the prettiest spots we’ve visited in our travels. Thanks for watching 😁
Hi there, as always another great video, am looking forward to seeing the next one. Happy Travels to you two. 🤗👍
Thanks Keith & cheers for tuning in again mate 🍻🍻
Well done. You're both awesome.
Cheers for tuning in Gary, much appreciated 🤙🏼
Nice vid guys and she's doing a great job giving the cruiser the Berries 👍
Damn right, picked it up quick & loves getting off-road. Can’t wait to see her tackle some 4wd tracks soon!
Great to see you guys giving it a good crack 👍
Having a bit of a go mate!! 😀
Just stunning. Wow.
Loved the music, especially with the drone work, impressive. Welcome to WA.
Thanks mate! Appreciate the kinda words & cheers for tuning in 😁😎
Thanks mate! Appreciate the kinda words & cheers for tuning in 😁😎
wow loving this part of your trip. Epic drone footage
Thanks Leanne, there are some amazing sights from above down here in the SW 🤩
Arid was my favorite hideaway now everyone will go there. FYI - for WA beaches best start at 16psi , and adjust from there until you find your vehicle's sweet spot. Enjoy WA but you have come in winter so you should be heading north of Perth at this time
Rogy that mate & cheers for the tip! This was filmed the back end of summer but yeah I can imagine things will be cooling off down there now.
I just had to watch the video again (because I miss the Arid too much) but heres another (unwanted?)tip - I noticed you used a pencil tyre gauge to lower pressures Go to BCF and get yourself a set of CampBoss 4x4 tyre deflators (although expensive they are worth it)
Always look forward to watching your video's. And seeing you two grow the channel. Going leaps and bounds in such a short time. PS get a Personal Locator Beacon with GPS like a GME MT610G 406 MHz
Thanks for tuning in mate & appreciate the kind words as always 😁
Yes, we have been looking at that especially for the remote touring we will be doing later in the year hopefully can fit it in the budget!! 😂
Hey guys I’m a local from Esperance! There are a lot of little secret spots you missed while out arid! Not going to disclose them now but I’m glad you guys had a blast and got some pretty good weather 👍🏽
I bet, we barely scratched the surface out there! Loved it none the less ☀️😍
I’m coming to find u for the secret spots 😂
U Lucky bugger. I have been talking about it for days now since I saw the video
Wow. Looks so perfect.
Can I ask what app you use to track the route you do. I’m asking about the red moving line from A to B. Cheers
Thanks Ranee it’s an animation I’ve created using keynote and google maps, I draw the line manually
Wow talk about 50 shades of blue!! So amazing, and I think some of your best drone footage so far 😊😊. It was great to see so many beautiful spots in the one episode. Yes please do get those radios and snake bite kit ❤️. Also congrats on hitting 7k subs!!
It’s very easy on the eyes hey!! Robyn you are always too kind ❤️
& thank you for your unconditional support, we simply could not grow without the love people like yourself continue to show us 🥰
Hi guys
We're you there in May? The weather looked too good for May 😂
This was more like late Jan / early Feb. our videos were quite delayed last season!
Those drone shots were sick! Which one are you guys using? I've been wanting to get one!
Thanks legends!! We’ve just got the DJI mini 3. It’s great for what we do, the only negative is we get a bit of camera gimbal shake when operating in moderate-high winds.
Hey guys just a quick question do you have a diesel heater
Yes we have an Airtronic D2 and LOVE it
What brand of music head unit/radio do you have and is it any good.
It’s a Kenwood CarPlay unit, was good but is playing up a bit these days
Adopt me please hahaha
Yeah l was watching your walks and thinking , l hope they are looking out for wriggling bastards
Always watching! 👀🐍

15psi for sand. Geez, amazing how many of these youtubers don't savvy to the basics. 15 or lower people. You'll drive out of most of your sand bogs.
The majority of driving that day was hard pack, so I set it for that! I’d think 15 psi would be pretty bad for long extended runs on the hard stuff. But hey we’re just UA-camrs how are we supposed to know 🤷🏻♂️🤣
@@our.australia.trip. Easy - let em down when you get to the soft stuff. That way you can be hard on your tyres instead of hard on your driveline. Get back to the hard stuff, pump em back up 🤷♂?But yeah, I guess making content doesn't leave much time to watch content from people who know the fundamentals.
I regularly get down to 10-12 PSI in soft stuff.
@@roberthay7554 spot on mate not rocket surgery.
Give 'em a break. They're having fun, they got out easy. And they'll remember next time. And we're all enjoying the vids.
