This is a gorgeous house. It was very surprising how big the master bedroom is, with a beautiful bathroom and his/hers closets. The laundry room is a great bonus in a small house. The exterior is so attractive and the interior is peaceful and beautiful. I would love for this to be my home
Great size. People really don't need more. There's always too much wasted space in larger homes. This design gives a feeling of warmth and comfort. This would also be easy on utilities due to not having high ceilings.
Jasper homes are untouchable. No one designs homes better..they pay attention to every detail. I love every one of there houses. I would be proud to live in there homes 😊

I would make this my home! It is small but doesn't look small and wouldn't take long to clean. I love the master bedroom & bathroom! I would probably connect a garage on the other side of the back porch which would extend the house a little although it would have the space for not just a car but the hot water tank and HVAC. Well done Jasper 😃💖

Personally, I'd keep the tub but make it a more reasonable size - not so big.
I like the floor plan overall. Plenty closet storage space! Love the rustic feel and coziness interiorly. Stone walls are beautiful! Jasper, the kitchen, dining area and guest bedroom are too small for our needs. And of course we want a wood stove for heating. If you did this in a 900 sq ft that would add a pantry, it could be ideal for us! No dormer. Adds extra build costs with only a slight improvement in aesthetics.

Why is it that most new homes have very large bedrooms but very small kitchens? Do people spend more time socializingbin the bedrooms than in the kitchen? All my family and friends migrate to the kitchen to visit and talk. None to my knowledge has ever wandered off to the bedroom for a conversation. Sometimes if its something private to be discussed they will venture out to covered porch or yard. Just seems rather odd!!

Agree! When you look at the floor plan, the master bathroom is larger than the kitchen. And the bedroom is twice the size of the livingroom. There are not remotely enough windows, especially considering the views of trees at the back. Though there is at least a backdoor and porch. Most of this kind of floor plan has nothing in the back.

I like it and then I don't. Walk in the front door to have the common bath facing you-no. Better to have a simpler master bath there. Move the master bedroom and closet down then put the common bath between the two bedrooms. I do like the outside

Exchange laundry and front bath, making laundry/pantry. NO chairs in the small gallery kitchen. Expand back porch all the way out to length of bathroom. Outdoor spaces are very important in small houses.
No extractor fan in kitchen, no need for large bathtub, square footage needed for laundry.

I am ready to decide on a house I will build/or have built. This house and one other is of particular interest to me. However, I am unable to discover where I can find an estimated cost for construction. I have the property paid for in two different locations. I am not interested in paying 100s or thousands of dollars for in-depth house drawings or plans before I know if I am in line with approximate costs. Help me, ... please.

I want all my space in the Living Room and only a functional kitchen. Bedroom for a queen bed and night stand and ease of making bed up. Front porch very important.

Beautiful! I love the front window and door similarity in line. The master suite is arranged well for function and use of space. The kitchen is very attractive but for a family would only work as a weekend property because it is too small--not enough storage. Where I live I don't think the position of the fireplace would pass code being so close to the door. The fire in it is big enough to bake anyone sitting on the sofa. A much smaller wood stove in the corner would be better.
The house has potential but needs some revision. It has one unattractive windowless face that should have windows for the living room. The main bath could be between the two bedrooms. You could use some of the master closet space to move the master bedroom up to make room for it. The use the present bathroom space for master closet and for a pantry.
Love it ❤ not a fan of the couch, plus it takes up too much space and makes it look like a smaller room than it already is. Other than that, it's perfect.
Yo quitaba el baño de servicio y lo pongo donde esta la cocina y la cocina donde esta el baño junto con la habitacion que serviria de comedor. Asi que aislada la sala de estar y no se llena de grasa

One comment only-master bedroom without windows (one above bed is not a window)....fresh air?? But cute.

The living room furniture overwhelms the space. Although it is a cabin, the large amount of wood and lack of color is detracting to me. The guest bedroom feels a little claustrophobic with the headboard and chest of drawers capturing the bed. I would miss light fixtures that I could easily turn on and off from the bed. The kitchen area needs more space for eating. The overlapping counters seem unnecessary. Something the same height would give the feel of more space, more usable space at that. Lastly the back door only seems to open onto the deck, but I saw no steps to allow an exit from the house. Although I liked the outside of the house, there are a lot more things about the layout that disappoint me.

Coat closet…needs one, not hooks and a bench. Real life would make that a very messy area. Kitchen is too small and the table area with chairs on the kitchen side is a no no. Also, though the fireplace is nice, there is no place for a tv.
The water in that bathtub looks absolutely disgusting.
Hey folks. Maybe you should take a look and think, and not mindlessly write “how cool.” The first and most important problem is the fireplace. It warms the street, not the house, and is an endless source of cold and garbage. There is no need to criticize any further. Think first then respond.

Coat closet? Not by front door - guess you have to use a side entrance. Located right y the kitchen is not good. Coats bring in dirt, and kitchens can make coats grimy. This needs a re-do.
Where are the utilities? No stairs for a basement and none upstairs. Hmm, not well done. Kitchen way too small and no real pantry space. I'll pass.
I am sorry but this house plan is a complete disappointment for me. Too dark and claustrophobic like a prison !!!
You can always have it painted a lighter color. There's no wasted space like in larger homes and would be easier on the pocketbook regarding utilities because of the lower ceilings. I live in less square footage than this house and have plenty of room and no wasted space.
@@pamplant3610 i think you misunderstood me. i'm not talking about the size and the space planning. That's ok with me as i live in Greece where houses are generally very small (as all over Europe). I meant the lack of light and ventilation, especially in main bedroom where are no windows but few tiny skylights. With no reason, the whole back exterior view of the house is like a prison.
