Hi, we're having issues with Wirecast sending data to Castr via rtmp. It worked once, and now if we use the same stream key and address it's saying it cannot find the IP address. Tried restarting everything, but keep getting the same error. Any ideas?
it's a bummer that Castr desided to change their pricing with no free option. I can live with restream's brand on my stream and learning the program may not be so hard. Still a bummer that they got greedy. Thanks for the info really helped
Great video and very timely for me. My wife does 3 live videos a week on Facebook, but I want her to branch out on UA-cam as well. We currently use Teradek so that I can do the mixing for her and she can concentrate on doing the content. We use 2 iPad pros one as a camera and one as a mixer. That way I can mix and help monitor while she is taping. We bought Ecamm live, it is nice, but we can't separate the mixing from my wife's iPad so I can do the mixing/monitoring. I think that Castr will be a great addition to this setup. Thanks.
So for a 2019 video you completely missed the fact that the first company to ever provide streaming from one system to multiple platforms was NewTek, via a TriCaster. They were doing this before vMix and others. You could stream to YT and FB Live when advanced edition first came out.

Thanks Joella! You can use Switchboard and Restream straight from within Ecamm (might need the beta version) hopefully Castr will be there as an option soon, but you can still use it if you select RTMP streaming, just wont get the comments through as easily

Is there a totally free multicasting service? I use restream for facebook, youtube, and twitch, but I'd also like to stream to instagram, but I need a custom rtmp through Yellow Duck which costs monthly on restream and the other two you mentioned

Du recorder is a good live streamer platform to use. You can stream to UA-cam, Facebook, Twitch, and twitter. plus you can use Rtmp to.
