My TTorres shirts have arrived. Should be on the site soon. Stay tuned!
I originally wanted a Navi but was talked into a Honda Rebel 300 by my husband and the sales guy. I rode it a few times but to be completely honest it scared the crap out of me. My husband rode it a ton then got his Harley. We went back to the dealer and got a Grom, it was a bit better but I still hated shifting (I drove a manual car in my younger years so we thought shifting would be second nature (I'm 57 now) it was not, shifting a car is so much easier! I also had a bad experience at the motorcycle course class I took, couldn't get the ancient POS Suzuki into neutral to save my life!! Scared me and I quit the class (as did the other two girls in the class, they were also intimidated by the bikes we were on).
We are now trading in the Grom and Rebel and getting me a Navi...which is what I wanted in the first place 😂. I know I'll love it since shifting was really my only issue, not the actual riding.
It was perfect for my first bike. I hadn't even ridden a bicycle in over ten years. The Navi basically allows you to get 100% confidence. Slow riding, maneuvering, throttle control, riding in heavy traffic. Because it's small, you can also get used to feeling SMALL around every other car on the road. So when I went to learn a clutch bike, literally everything about operating, handling, balancing, maneuvering, was automatic and instinctual. Not having to think about any of that stuff, made learning a clutch a cinch because it was literally all I had to 'try' to think about. Everything else I was just naturally doing, like autopilot.
Got mine today because it’s the only thing I could afford with having a car payment and being in college can’t wait to get it on the road
I just got mine today (SoCal) as my first motorcycle ! I’m 5 ft and tiptoe A LOT. I have to practice riding it more but I LOVE how it feels and eventually I’ll upgrade to a bigger bike.
Congrats!
I’ve got a motorcycle but I was thinking about getting this for more of a daily / adventure bike something to just hop on and go
I’m 5’2” got the navi as my first bike. I do tip toe a bit but like you said may shorten the bike. I’m too nervous to handle shifting so this is the perfect beginner bike for me to learn how to street ride. I got mine for $2500 so I felt like that was decent for it. Haven’t been able to ride it but twice due to weather here but plan to use it as my main ride for the summer. My boyfriend has the grom, I’m glad I didn’t pull the trigger on a grom as this came out a year later. Now we can ride together! Super excited.
Congrats on getting the Navi. Hope you have fun riding!
how’s the reliability so far?
It’s been good for me. Obviously not meant to ride the Hwy.
That strip in Navarre Beach is such a great ride.......i rent a scooter every time i go there. Im getting a navi soon.
I’m loving this bike. It’s so much fun to ride and great for a beginner
I AGREE !
I just got a red Navi. I'm 5 ft 7in and fllat foot the bike. Love it
Congrats
Great video. Put a deposit on mine a week ago but dealer says I won’t get it till fall/winter. Supply chain issues. Hopefully sooner. It’s been a great summer here in Alaska. I just saw this bike two weeks ago and looks like a lot of fun. Got my motorcycle license many years ago but never got a bike. Now it’s coming. So excited. Ride on.
You’ll enjoy the Honda Navi for sure?
Good video. Interested in the solution to backfiring. I am getting the same thing after install of the 38/90 jets and I'm around your elevation with stock pipe and MNNTHBX intake kit. I'm wondering if I should have gone with the 88 main.
I think once an exhaust comes out we will be fine.
I have to fully agree on what this video host is saying: I just plunked down $500.00 to hold one for me and I can’t wait to get mine!. It’s really not exactly $1,807 per say out the the door but mine came down to $3,200 with tax license & set up fees but I look at it on the next 3 years and it’ll be fully paid for by then. Between this and a manual bicycle!? You can go way further than a bicycle up to 100 miles per fill up so it’s worth it without you sweating in the hot sun & weather climbing up a hill riding a bicycle and reeking of the nasty smell of sweat.
Nice gloves
I'm 5'7"... 155# .. I flat foot it great 👍 I paid 3k.. pissed off about that, it does ride nice,I got it for a commuter because of the gas prices,I would like to do the upgrades to achieve 55mph on the flat.. I'm getting 48mph.. if I was just a bit more mechanically inclined I'd drill out the carburetor mixing screw and rejet it . But I know I'd eff it up if I did it myself which also would take my cost up to almost 4k for it with the carb, intake, exhaust, and variator...
But hey,it is what it is I guess.. mine is the grasshopper green too.. lol
Man if you watch my carb video I know you can re-jet it, install the intake and the variator.
@@TTorres1183 I know I can do the intake, exhaust and maybe the variator kit.. but I'm not sure of myself drilling out the Welch plug.. I'd rather pay someone to do that part and getting it tuned right. It's to expensive for me to screw up.. now,if I ordered the whole Shibang, the bigger carb with all the stuff.. I could probably do that.
Word.
Where did you buy yours? Dealers in South Florida are asking 3,400 to 4,200 dollars for it. Thanks.
I bought mine in Mobile, AL
I have to agree with you on the Bike I got mine $2395 out the door but know some has paid as high as $2900
I paid 3k...
I paid $2909 out the door it’s sucks but I did it because they sell super fast in my area
@@wascalywabbit same 3k in Cali I'd like 2800 instead
I have one pre-ordered in Northern Cali and I think mines going to come out to about $3,100 or so. Robbery but that’s just everything nowadays. It’s going to be my first bike, but debating if I should go with the Kawasaki z125. Honda Groms are cool but the z125’s look better IMO and I hear it’s the same quality
More speed from the 125
Benelli TNT 135 are absolutely phenomenal bikes as well!
Is smaller bike more dangerous than bigger one in general?
first bike, heck last one for me, goes faster than i can on my bicycle.
Honest question, I've been looking at a Navi as a first road bike and it looks really appealing. I used to ride dirt bikes a lot when I was younger but never on the street. Do you think that the Navi would be a good fit for someone like me or maybe a little bit larger displacement bike like a 250 or 300? Thanks
What are you wanting out of the Navi?
@@TTorres1183 For me, I do 80-85% in city commuting to and from campus and from work. I'm generally looking for a motorcycle that is easy to ride so that I can focus on learning riding on the street and a bike that is simple and easy to maintain. The main thing I'm looking for is that it is more efficient for in town driving than my current V6.
What speeds are you looking at on the daily?
@@TTorres1183 Anywhere from 30-40mph speed limits. On my normal routes, 40 mph is the highest speed limit there is and people are usually doing 45-50 mph.
The Navi would do just fine
Have you done any changes that make the bike noisier? If not, is it a noisy engine?
It’s a pretty quiet ride. Stock you can better hear that it’s running
Hey do you need motorcycle license to ride the Navi? (NJ).
Yup it’s over 50cc’s
Aye Navarre Gang! Haha I ride there all the time!
What do you ride?
@@TTorres1183 A Honda Rebel 300, maybe I'll see you out sometime!
Yeah man I’d love to ride together!
Is this Navarre? I went on vacation out there.
It is
I paid to much for mine. But I still think it's worth it.
Facts
Do you have to take a motorcycle riders class to ride around legally?
Yes you need a motorcycle license to be legal.
How is it riding on base ? I’m also Active Duty at FT BRAGG
Does just fine.
@@TTorres1183 considering getting one as my only vehicle , what do you think ?
Depends on wheee all you want to ride
Is this ok to drive on a 55 mph road???
I’d say yes with a side of caution
i’m 5’7-5’8 would that be a problem?
Not at all
I think being 5,7 to 5,10 is the sweet spot
Navi basically is a Scooter frame ..,..or a modified Scooter...
Facts
Yup scooter but not as "ugly"
Motorcycles are just not affordable in Cali they all want like 2k above msrp groms here sell.for 5-6 k even for five year old used ones and a Navi probably goes for 3-4k and I'm just not paying that much for a small cc bike to much money
I agree. I would not.
@@TTorres1183 it's a shame though I really want to get a Navi or Grom but they are just to much money
