I used this C4 on my E46 Touring (a lot of black trim) 3 months ago. It brought it back to looking as good as new, and still does today. 3 months down the line and I'm very happy with it. Admittedly it is more expensive than the other trim restorers out there, but if it lasts as long as it claims to do (up to 2 years) then I'll be more than pleased. The prep work is key though, i cleaned all the trim with IPA before applying the C4 and it looked great from the start.
Absolutely love how you perfectly articulate the process. I call it wordy but in no way is this an insult. More youtube video makers would be wise to take not and heed the example you set; the Americans mainly. Well done!!!
Bought this last month and all I can say it's fantastic. Thanks guru car cleaning for showing this product. Yes expensive but I've never seen a product like this after 30yrs in the motor trade. 👍👍👍👍
Daren Kent I've had trouble finding the product for purchase. Last time I checked the company shut down or something, their website didn't work. Any help?
Ive an 11 yr old ford focus and i have some exterior plastic to contend with but i do use turtle wax plastic trim care plus app pad it last appx 4 wks depending on the weather ..gotta say love these videos ..these are now my bible to detailing
Excellent video and great product. I used a few weeks ago with great results. Be mindful to not get any on glass if doing any panels near the windows. I think I got some on windows by mistake which I'm struggling to get off.
Once again great video! By the way I've bought a few products you had listed in the description on another one of your videos, one being the mercury spray bottle. It's great, works well. Also I've switched to auto finesse avalanche snow foam. I appreciate the effort you put into your videos, and can't wait to see what else your going to do next year, and last thing, I watched your "Godzilla gets a Bath" again last night. That is by far my favourite video of yours! Keep it up!
Great results on the plastics. Now tho, for the people that don't mind doing it every now and then when they wash their car. U can use rubber seal protection. That's what I do for my tires, rubber seals of course, side skirts, door trim, even interior and so on. Yesterday I even covered my whole front end in it, since I still haven't painted my panels and bumpers. It does the job if the panel has gotten a matte look
The windows mouldings are a pain in the arse to sort. Least they were, that stuff looks spot on. *V40 owner too* I used to use black boot polish on the bumper trims. Worked great
I use black magic tire wet and yes ik it's not meant for this stuff nor is it very good. But, when I got my car it was completely faded (04 expedition xlt with black plastic bumpers) and looked terrible. I did all the same steps but applied the tire wet once a week for 4 weeks and now it has fully soaked in and lasts about 4 months which is great for me considering a bottle of 23 oz is just a few bucks
Meguiar's supream shine interior spray I saturated the plastic for 2 days used 2 bottles... it staied by avalanche was faded to ash grey its black now. Do not soap ur plastic hand wash that part and re apply every few weeks as touch up
Just stumbled on this video, thank you firstly. Secondly its so soothing to hear you talk. You should definitely get some voice over work. AudioBooks or something.
Really useful video! I have an old 205 gti and the amount faded black trim is crazy, absorbs general trim restorer instantly. Will be interesting to try a few coats of this!
Had no luck with this Product on my wifes mercedes wiper arm cover. It looked nice and almost new for nearly a half year now it's just grey like before. Cleaned everything properly and let it dry for 2 days indoors. Wondering if other Products could do the same for a fraction of the price. I would be fine with restoring the trim once or twice a year but this stuff is not cheap 😁 But anyway great video with nice instructions 😊👍
Great demonstration, just got myself some of this to use on my 17 year old Discovery, the trim isn't actually too bad in most places so this should get it back to factory condition, however I think the wheel arch trims will be too much of a challenge as they are rough plastic. Even if it goes on it'll be almost impossible to buff off without the plastic tearing the towel apart. We will see.
Thank you for your very "detailed" videos. I've got a volvo 960II from 95 and I made a very good experience to clean the plastics under the doors with a normal all porpose cleaner from koch chemie (green star 1:20) and then for a nice finish with the koch chemie (plast star). Friendly greetings from Zürich
As always a fab video - I bought a white Jaguar sportbrake this year which has taken my obsession with cleaning to a new level! - love the hints and tips, just wish I had more time to go put some practice in!!
looking pretty sharp! our our 04 ford focus has some faded trims which i accidentally waxed last year. they now became white and that white residue is pretty hard get rid off :(
@ NR&CS Farming Speaking of NO ONE CARES. Farming Sims? Really? WTF is that? Do you feel macho mowing down wheat while picking on 5th graders? Maybe you should discuss your daddy issues next time at therapy
oh my goodness is that your real speaking voice!?!?! its sooo pleasant, you should be a professional narrator or make an app where you recite poems! it's so calming and everything my Texan dreams could ever dream up for a British guy - you're amazing!! Anyways, if I was going to use this on my 2 door Jeep Wrangler how many bottles of the C4 would you recommend buying?
Also someone told me to rub acetone on them to get off the "dead layer of plastic" since my jeep if 14 years old. Do you think that if I did that and then did this the next day it would help restore and get rid of the gray? My trim is a lot worse off than yours.
Dude, your videos seriously made me keep my car and my family's cars in tip top condition... I discovered my interests in auto detailing and I'm seriously thinking about inquiring about job openings at a well-known auto detailing shop near my house!
try degreaser and a sponge, and scrub it really good. Rubber will usually clean up and be black + shiny again, but the plastics turn all grey and no amount of cleaning will fix it
Halfords used to do a interior cream renovator back in 2000, it was the best product I ever used. It made the trim come up looking new and had a lovely eggshell satin finish. Does anybody know who made this for halfords or is it available under a different brand name?
Great show my friend. A very good review of g4. I like it but the size looks a bit small. I would Likely need a 2nd coat. All the best from Australia 🙃
i didnt even know there was such a product to restore plastic. i thought i was just stuck with this gray mess on a 2012 model year car! off to the interwebs to see what i can find like this in the US!
I used this yesterday on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma's front bumper, grill, outside mirrors and rear bumper along with the bed rails. This is great stuff. So is their C1 and Crystal Serum Light.
when i had the 1998 Corsa cdx 1.4 it had plastic trim around the fenders and the doors.i was looking for to restore it try lot of products and with the new corsa edition 2016 that's gone other like to try it out if i know where to buy it. did a nice job for your 440 and great video
I'm doing coach work with second hand vans , will this work on the dashboard and steering wheel. , plus sometimes we get grey plastic door trims that look really old and tired is there any product for grey trim restore
The real test of products like these is a few months down the line. how does it hold up? I've tried a few things but not the C4, i've seen one review on amazon saying its faded to like before, another said the rain made it look terrible. I'd say operator error is a factor too but another guy says it caused clearcoat to peel off a spoiler...but that's clumsiness.
Went out and bought some of this after watching your video, cant say im impressed one single bit really. Tried it on the exterior plastics on my clio 182 sport and all it really did to be honest was restore colour a little bit and put a bit of a shine but other than that no better than anything else really, will have to see how it lasts but it certainly didnt put any black back into the trim just looked slightly blacker than before I started and shinier, is it worth the expense???? not in my opinion.
Great video! Any tips on water spots on tinted windows? I have a 2012 Dodge Journey and it looks like the previous owner washed the vehicle without methodically drying it and now there are water spots on all of the glass.
Alright there la, how does this feel after application please? Does it feel like the greasy, slippy silicon a bit like flash dash or just the normal feel? Many thanks.
The 22 quid stuff applied after the 78 quid wipe , set you back 50 quid a year since itll last about 2 years . Results look great , also still on the 15th of May .Did you leave out the rear part ? Looks very old and not treated .
Wy would we use such products for 20pounds, if for the same price or less, You can get a matt industrial spray good quality for outdoor use and paint it so it looks like new and lasts for another couple of years...?
There's something very therapeutic and calming about your videos. Great job. Thanks.
It's the laconic drawl of his voice, and Zen attention to detail.
dalriada842 it's actually the posh Wirral twats ultra dry sense of humour 'shining' through...
+Mr Hollywood "posh Wirral twats" Sounds like a bit of regional rivalry there!
Kim Ah-See god damn! it was like listening to a Beatles interview. I wanted to take an ice pick to my ear canals
That's known as ASMR. Search it on UA-cam. You're welcome
I'm American and hearing your accent is actually quite soothing.
I agree with ya, sexy Dezzy!
Dezzydaze ha
I'm American and his accent makes me feel like I'm having screwdrivers jammed in my ears...😣
Ringo Starr meets Bob Ross
I am not an american, but I share same thoughts :)

@gawronwwa it's due for a top-up when the weather lets me. Still a fan of it as nothing comes close 👍
I am Mancunian, and I love your Scouse accent....It's so soothing , and beautiful. The vid is great too!
Im a manc too, i think he's from Widnes rather than a scouse 😆
Absolutely love how you perfectly articulate the process. I call it wordy but in no way is this an insult. More youtube video makers would be wise to take not and heed the example you set; the Americans mainly. Well done!!!
PROBABLY the most well spoken Car dude..
this is oddly relaxing...

Very expensive but there is nothing like this in the market! Totally recommend it
More videos of restoring this Volvo please! its so satisfying to watch
thank you for your in depth requirements for restoring the faded plastic trim on a car. I appreciate it very much, my trim is horrid
Perfect video.. Old Vauxhalls suffer from terrible plastic trim fade.. Wish I'd seen this video a couple of years ago.
I can listen to you ALL DAY LONG❣️ Think i will use your clip as background voice to help with sleep 😂
Bought this last month and all I can say it's fantastic. Thanks guru car cleaning for showing this product. Yes expensive but I've never seen a product like this after 30yrs in the motor trade. 👍👍👍👍

on my old fiesta I used one of those instant shoe shine sponge things, worked really really well
Results from these products are very nice, made my 92 civic look great!
you still not have a misses...need to get you one sorted....love the vid...thanks
Meticulous detailing with good explanations with a pleasant Liverpool accent.
Excellent video and great product. I used a few weeks ago with great results. Be mindful to not get any on glass if doing any panels near the windows. I think I got some on windows by mistake which I'm struggling to get off.
His OCD and love of making cars clean makes me so happy. Thank you for your videos.
tx for the info. would have been nice to see the plastic 6 months later but thanks overall.
Once again great video! By the way I've bought a few products you had listed in the description on another one of your videos, one being the mercury spray bottle. It's great, works well. Nice treat for the Gurumobile.
Great results on the plastics.

JDMSteven I bought a few bottles of the black magic at autozone but I don't know how to apply correctly :( it doesn't last more than a few days for me
Meguiar's supream shine interior spray I saturated the plastic for 2 days used 2 bottles... it staied by avalanche was faded to ash grey its black now. Do not soap ur plastic hand wash that part and re apply every few weeks as touch up
Love the explaining. Such a relaxing voice. Put me right to sleep.
PERMANENT!!!Kind of like a new car. They permanently stay looking good.
Just stumbled on this video, thank you firstly. Secondly its so soothing to hear you talk. You should definitely get some voice over work. AudioBooks or something.
Really useful video! I have an old 205 gti and the amount faded black trim is crazy, absorbs general trim restorer instantly. Will be interesting to try a few coats of this!
good stuff - you should have a go on the Citroen Cactus; shed loads of black plastic on the airbumps. Will give this a go.
C4 lasted 1 year on my bumpers. I was so happy.
Fab result. Great to see slightly older car on reviews. The result can lead to a dramatic transformation.
Nice stuff, never knew it existed. Specially handy when your restoring young timer cars.
Paintwork of the car by the way still looks very good! Nice video, with a good example of what is possible. Keep up the interestingly job!

Question... almost 4 months in... how has it held up with the trim?
I would like to see a closer shot of the product. I have never seen out in australia. Cheers good video

Awww, the English accent of an Irishman, Scottish, or Brittish. Something enjoyable about hearing the accent as a Yank from across the pond.
Brilliant vid mate. I own a volvo v50 and your tips and tricks are excellent. Thank you
Love the look of a V50 especially in R-Design trim.
As always a fab video - I bought a white Jaguar sportbrake this year which has taken my obsession with cleaning to a new level! - love the hints and tips, just wish I had more time to go put some practice in!!
I just applied Cerakote , worked great!
Great video, and just shows just how good this gear is!
looking pretty sharp! our our 04 ford focus has some faded trims which i accidentally waxed last year. they now became white and that white residue is pretty hard get rid off :(

It doesn't last very long though, I've tried it on many trims. Video title needs changing as it's misleading.
How long is not very long ?
Absolutely brilliant mate. From Melbourne, Australia.
Could you use this on the interior plasticity trims ? Great video BTW?
Could you use this on the exterior rubber seals on the doors and windshield?
try degreaser and a sponge, and scrub it really good. Rubber will usually clean up and be black + shiny again, but the plastics turn all grey and no amount of cleaning will fix it
Is it just me or is this guys voice/accent completely mesmerizing? (and no, I'm not gay)
lol ya sure?
You're gay now lol
It's not just you. Mesmerizing is a good word for it. I need him to voice-overs on my videos!
You are gay confirmed.
Sure lol
Any chance of a follow up on how it looks now, nearly 2 month's on?, cheers.
All I can think about is Art Attack!
Why did that make me laugh so much! :)

I have had great success with gummi pflege on my 12yo car as well. Cheers
Subscribed because of The Voice... his voice 😁 and love of cars.

Can I use it on rubber trims too? Does it hold well like on the plastic?
I have an sc300 my plastic trim b pillars are chipping is there a way to save that or would you say once it starts to chip get new ones ?
Very relaxing and thorough presentation.
Beautiful volvo! I'm fixing to do this to my xc90
i didnt even know there was such a product to restore plastic. i thought i was just stuck with this gray mess on a 2012 model year car! off to the interwebs to see what i can find like this in the US!
Thank for this mate, I followed your video step by step and for now the results are brilliant
how well did it hold up? 5 years later still look like new?
any chance of a video to get rid of caliper rust? thanks
I used this yesterday on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma's front bumper, grill, outside mirrors and rear bumper along with the bed rails. This is great stuff. So is their C1 and Crystal Serum Light.
how well did it hold up? 5 years later still look like new?
Could you potentially use this up in the wheel arches?
Could take over for David Attenburg.....it's like watching a detailing video but listening to someone describe birdwatching...awesome voice
how does the g4 do on rubber molding around windows ect?
when i had the 1998 Corsa cdx 1.4 it had plastic trim around the fenders

Good Video and professional quality commentary / sound

What it is?
03:50am and I wathcing a guy who details cars..
What do you think of the heating method of black plastic trim restoration?
Can I use small microfiber cloths to apply this? Since they dont give you enough applicators?
Thanks for your C4 review Always interesting to look at your video Simply explains and filming
Deserves mil+ subs & a sky channel.
Excellent explanation and Detail on the application of this product
Can you put this on a brand new vehicles trim?
Can this also be used on interior trim?
Have you tried the heat gun method?
I'm doing coach work with second hand vans , will this work on the dashboard and steering wheel. , plus sometimes we get grey plastic door trims that look really old and tired is there any product for grey trim restore
Could the diluted APC used to degrease the plastic degrade the panel protection?
Yes.
I hope my car won't blow up with all that C4 😁
keep up the good work 👍
Those wheels... would've loved to see the wash process
Collins T agreed! They look freshly refurbished

How have the results lasted over a few months? is it really "permanent" or does it just wear off like every other oil based product
Great video! Any tips on water spots on tinted windows? I have a 2012 Dodge Journey and it looks like the previous owner washed the vehicle without methodically drying it and now there are water spots on all of the glass.

How long if only doing trim like in this video would a 15ml bottle last am not planning on doing any full bumpers yet
"This disgootingly dirty car" - I am dead :D
You're the best, man!
Wy would we use such products for 20pounds, if for the same price or less, You can get a matt industrial spray good quality for outdoor use and paint it so it looks like new and lasts for another couple of years...?
Because rattle canning is a pain in the arse and people might want to restore not repaint.
Great video, learned a lot in preparation of applying CarPro DLux to my car!
