Just got my OLM3 today, watched this now I'm ready to assemble! Thanks Roger, I subscribed/liked and look forward to watching videos and learning hands on with my laser.
What is the footprint of this laser? I have one, but need to build a stand for it and since we just moved, space is limited at the moment. Can’t really put it together and leave it off to the side somewhere just yet while I build a stand lol.
While you could, I don't feel it necessary on this one. A few cable tie bases was all it took to neaten up the cable. Even then, without them, the cable would not get in the way of laser travel.
Enjoy your videos. Keep them coming! Just assembled and my limit stops on the Y rails are off a little (i.e. one is touched before the other). Is there a correction or is it even an issue?
I suspect you have found a solution at this point, but in case others have similar concerns: First, if BOTH sides of the x-axis are slightly (1-2mm) off the limit screw, you are fine (provided they are roughly the same distance off). If, however, one side is almost perfectly touching but the other looks to be several mm off, you can pull the belt out of the grooves on the side that is not touching, press the x-axis to the limit screws (so both sides are touching) and re-insert the belt in the x-axis. If that doesn't work, you can always dig in deeper and adjust the set screws for the y-axis, but that is a bit more involved (and likely unnecessary). Best of luck!
Great video! Very helpful. I just purchased a new Ortur Laster Master 3 and followed along with your video. Much better than reading the manual.

We assembled our laser lm3 by watching your video. When homing the laser arm is coming forward to far and hitting the end. Any advice?

The base board I have this mounted to is 24" x 24" if that helps.
Hi, enjoy your vacation. Do you think I can add the drag chain on the Ortur LM 3 like you did on xTool ?

The LM 3 does not have physical limit switches. it operates as a limit from stepper motor feedback, so it may not look like it is "making", but it is.

You sir is the life saver
Thank you for help me! 🙏🏻
You put the main control cable wrong way and it is now bellow the laser causing obstructions 😂😂
Hey speak for yourself, I as a male, read the instructions every time…. After I messed it up after several tries 😂
