Clearwater and Frenchy's were my first taste of Florida. What a first time experience! Second trip was to Tampa and Riverwalk, because of your video! Now I'm a Tampa expert, because I've seen everything from Wesley Chapel to Lutz, Land o Lakes to Johns Pass. Best SW Florida channel on UA-cam!!
Wow! Thats a huge compliment!! I appreciate that and yes you know your stuff
@@TampaFloridaLiving you taught me everything I know!
I agree.. Adam’s content is the best
Wow i appreciate that. I do my nest to be a good resource for folks
@@Twobarpsi so what did you think of all these places? I’m going in December and can’t wait!
The Clearwater downtown is developing and improving but still a long way off from downtown St. Pete and Tampa.
Yeah. All are great places and each have there bright spots
St. Pete is king of the 3. Tampa has some great activities and mainstream stuff to do, but the business, general crustiness/drunkeness/crime make it not a super comfortable spot to hang out in. Clearwater is the most whitewashed/tourist friendly area but only in the downtown/stroads that line it (you can really feel the disconnect between the people living there just driving a few blocks away from downtown). I really like St. Pete because of it's diversity of people from every walk of life, there's a general vibe here that I haven't found anywhere else. Tampa especially does not fit that vibe for me. Clearwater is whatever as well, I'm indifferent.
If you like culture, art, music, food and the ocean. I'd suggest St. Pete for anybody looking into coming down here! But be prepared for a higher cost of living than the other areas mentioned (even in the outskirts). It's well worth the fee though, I moved from Portland Oregon paying way more to live in a literal hell hole inside my apartment and out. I grew up on the Jersey Shore (Bay area, Sandy Hook) and Upstate NY (Woodstock). It reminds me a lot of home but with much less degradation and much friendlier people.
Also if you want high rise condos and business, Tampa is the spot... I find those things repulsive at this point lol. If I had to I would commute to Tampa or Clearwater if needed, but I love my small town nestled in St. Pete.
I agree that Tampa is the best overall foodie city for the reasons you provided and one more. I feel that Tampa has the most hole-in-the wall places for international cuisines, especially in the more affordable outer parts. I have found great Indian (I'm Indian myself), Jamaican, Korean, and middle eastern food in neighborhoods such as Carollwood/North Tampa.
St. Pete is quieter but Tampa is spicier. I like that they're close together so I can go back and forth. Both beat the dog doo out of Orlando
Ha ha ha love that comment! Thanks for sharing!
Agreed with all points!
No matter where you live in Tampa Bay, you can get to the beach by car. My family & friends Fly from far away to get here.
- Clearwater: most strikingly white sand (with subtle hues of blue, which I've never seen anywhere else), perfect for a quiet hideaway, ideal for retirees and family holidays. A bit on the posh side as a resident, not so much as a tourist. Its airport is for general aviation only.
- St Pete: more geared towards younger crowds, lgbtq lifestyles, going out. Has a typical mid-size regional airport where low-cost meets private jets.
- Tampa: business and efforts to be more than just a 2nd class big city. America's next big city for a long time, we all wish it will become first class some time soon. Top-notch international airport waiting to attract the attention of more of the world (it has only 4 long-haul connections outside the continent at this point, to England, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany), but it's more than 2 pre-covid).
The whole Tampa Bay area as a whole still lacks the internationally renowned glamorous reputation of Miami, but could have the potential to become a true competitor if high-end 5* resorts, mass entertainment visibility and other marketing tricks decided to put the area on the global radar, not just domestically.
Tampa definitely has the best airport in Florida, hands down. (Shout out to that giant flamingo in the middle of the airport)…but the best in the country? Nah. Like all cities in Fl not named Miami, there’s no decent public transit to get you from the airport to the city or to the beaches. It’s clean & convenient, but until that’s built, it’s not breaking the top 10 list for me.
❤Very good information!! My husband and I have been following you for quite some time, I have a question, it is a good idea spending Christmas time in the Tampa area?
Thank you for following along with us and im glad you have enjoyed my content!
Tampa can be great during g the holidays bc there is so much going on. Lighted boat parades on the riverwalk and celebrations all around town. Dont expect a white christmas here however bc it doesnt snow here
My husband thinks that on Christmas Day everything is going to be closed including restaurants and places to go to?
@@eneidadysick445 yes on christmas day most things close. Some reopen in the evening but i wouldnt count on many bc its christmas. Most should open on the 26th
Some ppl don't know how underrated this realtor is, i can tell he is not just trying to sale you but actually inform giving you the best options for YOU to choose from 🔥
Wow… i appreciate that comment. I do my best to share my experiences and yes i try to be an advisor and provide the best guidance for home buyers!
Thanks for the comment!
I totally agree! His videos are really helping me as I consider moving to Tampa area. I would def call him if I decide to do it: I just got tickets to come in December to check it out in person
@@theflowerninja even though december is not a buying trip, give my team a call because we can help set up your itinerary for when you are in town. Then if you decide you want to make the move you already have an established relationship with someone here!
@@TampaFloridaLivingI would love this! I was thinking of doing just that but also didn’t know if that was ok bc I’m not sure yet about the move. Should I just call the office and ask to speak with someone in particular? You remind me of my realtor here is California and he’s a great guy!
@@theflowerninja appreciate the compliment! Shoot us an email and my admin nicole can help! Info@themorejongroup.com
It all comes down to preference at the end of the day, For me, I prefer Tampa bc I’m not a huge beach person and I prefer waterfronts more
I totally agree that it comes down to preference. They all amazing things to like. I would have to side with you on tampa also. Love the beaches but the city offers more variety and the beaches are an easy 30-40 min drive
Nice vid
I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed
🍁... I'm in love forever with Clearwater.
What do you love about it? Whats your favorite part?

Is st Pete edge district safe? Where to avoid for safety
I think Tampa is better for living.
Hey thanks for sharing! Why would you choose Tampa? What do you like about it? (Fyi thats my first choice also just lobe to hear from others)
I disagree. Love pinellas county
@@Savedcitytitan7118 all good. Pinellas is great! Whats your favorite part?
@TampaFloridaLiving I love the small town feel of clearwater. I live near safety harbor. 25 mins to downtown Tampa. 20 mins to the beach. 5 mins from waterfront. 40 mins to downtown st pete. 25 mins from tarpon. Love the central location. And have tampa right across the bridge. Thanks alot for your videos. Helped alot when we 1st moved here
@@Savedcitytitan7118 glad my videos were helpful! I agree with everything you said. Alot if it has to do with your lifestyle and it seems like that area def matches what you were looking for!
Dunedin Tampa sucks
Well done as usual!
Appreciate that!
St Pete
But where would you live if money was no object!
At this point in my life Tampa makes the most sense…. However i could absolutely live the beach life into retirement!
How about you? what do you think you would like?
@@TampaFloridaLiving Clearwater area seems safer with Hurricanes but right now it’s too high
@@kevinwood4911 not sure it’s any safer with hurricanes, but it is a nice area and easy access to the beaches
NYC retiree here and tampas on my list to eventually move to as my brother resides there. However i hear flood insurance is super high. Also should one wait it out. Thoughts on prices or rates lowering?. I would like to be around a 2k mortgage. Thx
