    Thank you TRP for using mineral oil! and thank you for making the bleeding process exactly the same way I bleed my Shimano brakes!

    1:18 video editing needs looking at here, what you’re instructing people to do will end up with a nice mess out of the caliper 😂

      I just about to ask if I really remove the syringe and leave it open, then actuate the brake leaver again. Seems to me that would shoot mineral oil all over my shop floor.

      First watch and I noticed that… pull the lever and watch it all piss out the calliper 😂

    This doesn’t make sense. After you take the syringe if you pull the lever without putting the bleed port bolt back on the caliper. Wouldn’t the oil just piss out with you pull the lever?

    Can you use the bleed equipment for shimano breaks? (Cup and syringe) also can you use shimano mineral oil?

      The shimano mineral oil you can use, idk about the bleed equipment since I use a 10$ kit from Amazon with lots of different fittings

    what is the thread of the lever bleed port (and funnel then) ? M5 ?

  • @davefellows
    @davefellows 9 місяців тому

    Any reason you can't do this with the pads and wheel still in place so you don't need to use a bleed block? I assume the risk is getting oil on your pads but as long as you're careful not to then I assume that would work...

    Quick question, what adapter did you guys use for the wolftooth lever? Thanks

    • @howlerbikepark
      @howlerbikepark  2 роки тому

      We actually had to use the clamp mount, Wolf Tooth doesn't integrate with TRP yet!

    • @dilanweerasinghe6482
      @dilanweerasinghe6482 2 роки тому

      The DHR-EVO levers use the Shimano IS-II standard. I believe this part would allow you to mount the Wolf Tooth lever directly to the brake lever: www.wolftoothcomponents.com/products/remote-replacement-axle?variant=21422969349

    • @dilanweerasinghe6482
      @dilanweerasinghe6482 2 роки тому

      Scratch that… the ispec adapters ALMOST work. There’s an extra lip in them that interferes with how they mount under the trp clamp. You can cut/grind/file this lip off to make it work though. It’s not a direct solution.

    • @philn9205
      @philn9205 Рік тому

      I just tried the wolf tooth i-spec ii to sram MM, it does not fit. Looks like EVO's clamp mounting surface is a little wider than what i-spec ii is designed for. I had to order the integrated mtb shift adapter hd 3.7 directly from trp.

    im having non stop issues with these brakes rubbing, they are bled and the lever feels so good, pistons advanced evenly but after a trail or two one side pushes out more and stay against the disc.... messing up the feel... super frustrating, ive tried lubing and working the pistons on that other side but they are free...

      Thant's a crap design. I've read that these brakes have issues with the bleed port seals being very easy to crush, resulting in contaminated pads & glazed disks. Seem to be very fussy.

    • @86309
      @86309 Рік тому +2

      yes the O ring squishes out and doesn't seal. , it does not fit in the bleed screw hole. very easy to induce air into it. I looked at all the fittings in the kit but they are not any different. plus not having a clear cup to see bubbles is really not the best idea.
