Mac A Technically, Mongul seems more of an homage since the creator of Thanos ALSO created Mongul.
the insurance no that was a threat Zoom made, but wasn’t able to accomplish, and it would have only involved the flash, whereas this crossover links together several shows on a much bigger scale against a much bigger threat.

That's pretty crazy they've been able to build up and do this big storyline on TV when the movies haven't been able to even keep the Justice League together. ha
It's not that crazy when you think about it. The TV-verse used a solid formula that's even worked for Marvel in building the Avengers. The DCEU just refuses to adopt that formula even though it's proven to work. They just keep combining popular characters and rely on their popularity with fans in different media instead of taking their time to develop each one in their own origin movie and let them build their own popularity in that specific franchise. The arrowverse deeply developed Arrow then teased Barry Allen before making him the Flash and developing him separately. Then their crossover worked because they were well established as characters. DCEU would have shoved them together almost immediately with flashes of an origin like "Look at this! Its Green Arrow and The Flash! You fans love them already.!"

So DC managed to create a successful universe with their TV shows that ends in a crossover with everybody. If only they could have done that with their movies.

Probably because those of who have seen the previous crossovers know they don't really fulfill their potential. Which is not to say this won't be fun to watch, but to do this kind of even justice is far beyond the capabilities of the CW's budget.
@@MetFanMac It is also beyond the movies to do, as well. They could never build what the cw did here. The only mediums that could deliver is video gaming and animation. This looks really good. I have really enjoyed the shows, as well.

@@MetFanMac Crisis On Infinite Earths is many times vaster than the Infinity War Saga. Instead of movies about characters in the same universe, think movies and tv shows set in entire universes.
Instead of a titan getting a glove to destroy half the universe, think of an evil titan destroying every universe. Then think of all the main heroes and main villains from each movie and tv show coming to kill him.
That is what Crisis On Infinite Earths would be like done with the projects they have done already. Think Micheal Keaton Batman, Val Kilmer Batman, George Clooney Batman, Christian Bale Batman, Kevin Conway Batman, Ben Affleck Batman, Robert Pattinson Batman, Adam West Batman, Arrowverse full roster, Smallville full roster, DC Universe full roster, Lynda Carter Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot Wonder Woman, Helen Slater Supergirl, Billy Zane The Phantom, Keanu Reeves Constantine, Christopher Reeves Superman, Brandon Routh Superman, Henry Cavill Superman, Jason Momoa Aquaman, Ray Fisher Cyborg, Ezra Miller Flash, Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern, Zachary Levi Shazam, and Suicide Squad and Joaquin Phoenix Joker, and Halley berry Catwoman and all the villains from all of these movies and shows.
That is what Crisis is.
All live action t.v shows are represented in this crossover. All that t.v history on screen over 5 episodes.
There were some characters and films that were not present in the Infinity War Saga.
This crossover is what us fans have waited for for years.
So many awesome actors, coming together, for a show, that will never be achieved again on tv.

Seriously, so happy that even a casual fan like yourself can be all hype! I been freaking out at each announcement! I mean, Brandon Routh and Kevin Conroy are part of universe base from the Kingdom Come comic series...and you already have Routh playing The Atom as well with Legends. With Welling coming in too, plus the actress that play Lois in Smallville, there just so much that they are going with this. Almost going big since this is Arrow's final season so Bang! I don't even know how I am going to watch this since they are airing the first three this week and than the last two after the holidays. All I know, there's going to be so large and can hope that everyone will be given the same amount of screen time and it doesn't feel too rush at all. I too wish for Terry or Static to show up, hell they might in the background. It is the Multiverse after all....and seriously need to stop rambling, but all your excitement as me all excited again for this!!! I was basically nodding along with your questions and like Agur!!! I need it to be Sunday now!

As someone that actually watches the shows, you’re definitely more hyped than I am. I thought the trailer was a little weak. Hopefully they’re saving the big stuff like Brandon’s Superman for the eps.
For all those who say this is DC's infinity war/endgame uuh no because the crisis on infinite earths comic debut in 1985 and infinity war comic debuted in 1992.
Right, but the analogy still stands. They aren't saying that "Marvel did it first" or something like that, the comment is more like trying to describe what Crisis on Infinite Earths is if someone only has experience with Marvel. So it's basically trying to find the closest comparison that they can. Doesn't matter which one debuted first in the comics, just how the build up and scope of the story aligns and Infinity War is the closest Marvel has to DC's Crisis
To be fair. The Arrowverse itself makes a lot of "Marvel did first" even though half the time DC did before Marvel in the comics.

Man when I was a kid the most ambitious tv crossover we had was Ninja Turtles vs Power Rangers, and then years later every Red Ranger on one team.

Andre, Supergirl has been an emotional rollercoaster the past 2 seasons and Flash has been gold. I HIGHLY recommend to binge both shows when you get the time.

You have Brandon being 2 different characters so I doubt they care too much about actors doing more than 1 character

When it comes to crossovers, everything Marvel has done, DC has done it bigger and better. Don't be surprised to see Lucifer and John Constantine in Crisis too. Constantine was in the original comic book Crisis on Infinite Earths. Oh, and Kevin Conroy plays the Kingdom Come Batman, while Brandon Routh plays Kingdom Come Superman.

The Crisis cross over may be 5 episodes, but don't skip Black Lightning next week. His earth starts to have the red skies and other earth versions of some characters will be showing up before he gets recruited at the end. So the line up is
Sunday: Supergirl.
Monday: Batwoman, Black Lightning
Tuesday: The Flash
Then when they come back on Jan 20th(I think) It'll be Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow for the last half.

The thing about Mark Hamill’s Trickster is there are two Earths where The Trickster’s life is EXACTLY the same, costume choices, time period, crimes committed, but Earth-1 didn’t have a Flash at the time (they used screenshots from the TV series for the articles pulled up). It wasn’t until season 2 where the multiverse was established, and eventually Shipp’s Barry Allen Flash show was revealed to have taken place on Earth-90. There’s a third Trickster on Earth-3 whose nemesis is Jay Garrick, who looks nothing like the others dressed, except for being played by Hamill
I've been following this fully, and honestly I'm happy and grateful for the time we're living Andre, I never thought it'd happen, getting MCU's and CWverses and all that, I've been wanting this since I was kid. But I also have to quote Spider-man from Spiderverse - "I'm so tired." This is alot to consume.
