While you talking about Wesley Snipes as Blade. Here my question. Are Blade movies from New Line Cinema (since they are from Warner Bros)? I know they are not 20th century Fox or Disney.
Yes cause this is totally Marvel's first ever time bringing an actor's family into a movie. Like, I can't imagine another Marvel movie where the lead hero actor's family played a minor role in. Like seriously tell me another Marvel movie where an actor hero, an actress heroine, a villain actor & even the director's kids play a part in.....
That got me so good! On some level, I expected the other cameos. I mean, Elektra was reported a long time ago, I kinda expected Evans and even Blade to be possibilities, but I never even considered Gambit! I loved that so much!
I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I didn't even trust my eyes at first, I thought it was too improbable, there was no way... Once the shock wore off, I was IN, heart and soul! Gambit was the cameo that gave me the greatest thrill in the whole movie. It felt like closure.
This was a fun MCU debut for Deadpool and Wolverine. The Chris Evans cameo where he shouts "FLAME ON!!" was hilarious. At least we have a spare Human Torch in Micheal B Jordan.
It was an intentional misdirection, he was talking and carrying himself like Steve rather than Johnny, even did a superhero landing that makes no sense for Johnny.
I noticed the Fantasticar in the sequence before we saw Chris Evans, so I knew immediately when I saw him that it was Johnny Storm. I was so jazzed! Especially that end credits scene...
I am soooooo HAPPY I did not watch any of the main trailers just the first teaser... I avoided all possible spoilers online and it made the movie an amazing experience... As a guy who is almost 40 at this point, this movie made me feel like a kid again!
Oddly enough, when Blade and Gambit showed up, hardly anyone in my theater reacted. I was severely disappointed as I felt like the only one genuinely excited.
Sabretooth and wolverines fight was a bit underwhelming but I like the call back to X-Men origins when Logan said “how bout I cut your head off?” And he literally cuts his head off in this film!!
Shows how badass he is, didn't even have to be worried or break a sweat. I bet he killed him in his universe too ,and he's like how many times do I have to kill this mo fo(probably learn the best technique to do so)
@@majorlazor5058 Honestly I'm so so so glad they did it. Not only did D&W already have so much going on for its story, not only was it a great callback to Origins, but it never made sense to me that Sabretooth (especially the movie version) would be any match for Wolverine without a significant power boost considering Wolvie takes on the likes of Juggernaut, Thor, and Hulk.
@@juckoosaurus Yeah and looking at the garbage writing of the film I don't know if he's the one to blame. The previous two films went just fine. I feel like this is like the Cavill Witcher situation. Cavill obviously gave his all, but the rest of the crew didn't care about the project at all. And it shows.
When I saw the movie in the theater, there were moments where only one person reacted (usually to cameos) and mine was Chris Evans yelling “Flame On!”.
Wade/Deadpool: "Oh My God, He's Gonna Say It" Logan/Wolverine: "Say What?" Wade/Deadpool: "Avengers Ass-" Johnny Storm/Human Torch: "FLAME ON!" Wade/Deadpool: "Sorry What?" HAHA, LOVE THIS SCENE
Blade Trinity was the film that sold me on Reynolds being Deadpool. The only thing his Hannibal King had in common with the comics character is the name. I told my sister as we left the theater he would make a good Deadpool though. We both had a good laugh when the Wolverine Origins movie came out a few years later.
my favorite scene was when Deadpool asked electra where they got the rocket launcher, she said the punisher and then deadpool said "which one? There's like five of them!"
When Channing Tatum showed up as Gambit I legit had a Regina George moment and yelled "Shut up" at the screen. That mid credits Wolverine montage also made me ugly cry. It felt so very good to actually be excited about an MCU movie again.
I wonder if wolverine was confused when Deadpool told him "til your 90". Considering wolverine is over 200 years old in the movie. lol Deadpool broke the 4th wall and was talking to Hugh Jackman the actor THROUGH wolverine ? Wolverine doesn't know he's being played by an actor named Hugh jackman
@@christaylor7916 haha maybe. I think he probably just thinks he’s completely insane because he keeps saying a ton of 4th wall breaking jokes like the “he let himself go after the divorce” and “welcome to the mcu you’re joking at a bit of a low point”.
The one and only cameo that I wish they would've got was Liev Schreiber. That version of Sabretooth was the best part of that movie, and I've always wanted to see more of him. The version they got and what happened to him was funny, still.
100% Wesley was the best cameo. I went with my buddy and we saw NO trailers. We both just turned to each other slack jawed and so in awe no words I wanted to scream but was way to shocked. SO. DAMN. GOOD.
Hugh absolutely brought it. I was nervous when I heard he was coming back, but this is my second favorite Logan performance from him. The ending where he says “for the first time, I am proud to wear this suit. It means I’m an X-Man. I am THE X-Man” was incredible. I loved his performance, and they did such a great job with giving him the reverence that he deserves. The suit, the cowl, his fighting style, his nihilism, and ultimately, his redemption were all perfect. I do think the script is a mess and some of the jokes don’t land, but the good outweighed the messiness for me.
I didn't know about the whole Gambit Movie that never left Development Hell, Gambit's line about maybe being born in the void makes a lot more sense now I know that. Also seeing Deadpool's repeated comments of "Disney brought him back. They're gonna make him do this till he's 90." a week before the surprise reveal of RDJ returning made me feel like that was a stealth 4th wall break for the ComicCon reveal.
I love "how" they gave him the Adamantium sword because it wouldn't make sense how his old steel swords could stop Wolverine's claws if they fought beforehand.
I wondered where the TVA got some adamantium from. Did they collect the same katana in the future to give it to Wade then, who made that? Since purportedly it’s the giant god sticking out of the Earth which will yet introduce the element to 616.
@@thestarseeker8196 Nah they probably "liberated" some Adamantium from one or more of the Universes they "pruned" before they "pruned" it. Because some people need to be "movie critics" and for some reason fun is not allowed to be a factor in film criticism anymore. It just always make me laugh because the whole reason we started talking about movies like this online is because we thought critics took movies like this too seriously, and now look at us, becoming what we once fought against LOL!
Hell yeah!!! It was a crazy wacky fun time. Such a homage to superhero movies of the past. Ryan and Hugh were phenomenal together. Hysterical intro, fantastic action scenes, and a surprising amount of heart!
Dude, as soon as I saw Blade, I cheered so loud. I was grinning the biggest and stupidest smile. 😂 Man, these jokes and references were absolutely on point. And yeah, Marvel may have hurt me with Secret Invasion, but they redeemed themselves with this. That opening alone is the best thing I’ve ever seen from Marvel. 🤣
Literally out of all the Marvel projects, Secret Invasion was not all that good. Don't necessarily hate it since there's some things I like but overall it's the weakest of the D+ shows
I agree completely on the fan service thing. especially when people were complaining that every mcu movie is trying to do too much but when a movie is just fun like this people want more.
I believe that Chris Evans cameo was the ultimate punchline of the movie.. the way they brought it full circle in the finale was the icing on the cake.
I really loved the movie overall. That said, one cameo I wish they had was Domino. I really liked Zazie Beatz as Domino and how could the guy who puked acid and was in Deadpool 2 for like 2 seconds get a Cameo and Not Domino?? How could that guy be one of the 9 people that Deadpool cared about and not Domino? Anyway I still loved the movie! Getting to see Channing Tatum finally get a chance to be Gambit was great. I hate to admit it but the Johnny Storm thing fooled me. I just totally spaced that Chris Evans had played him untill he said Flame on!
I thought I was the only one who wished Domino was patt of the group. I was also glad to see Channing get his shot to play Gambit. Westley is right, there is only one Blade
Blade Trinity is a fascinating watch, even moreso if you listen to the commentary with Ryan Reynolds. It is definitely surprising that Blade is in this movie, especially if you've heard how Reynolds talks about his experience with Snipes in their Blade film...
It was fan service of the best kind: we got so many flavors of Wolvie, including the John Byrne suit I grew up with. The Johnny Storm reveal made me jump out of my seat! And of course, the legacy Fox X-Men characters, including Channing Tatum as Gambit!
Thank you for giving BLADE his props. I’m old enough to have seen all the Blade movies in the theater and thinking from the beginning how Blade really started making the MCU and really the modern superhero movie genre what it is today. That made the movie for me 👍🏽 Honestly, I could see Snipes return as Blade from another universe alongside Ali‘s Blade like the Spider Man.
I took my kids to see this movie and we had a blast. Just like you I also called it when I saw Chris Evans popped up on screen. The second that hood came down and I saw his face and his hair and everything, I KNEW what was about to happen. My oldest was sitting next to me and goes "OH! It's Captain America!" and I just turned to them with a smile and said "NOPE! That's not who that is." And then..."FLAME ON!" and we were OFF to the races. I loved that cameo AND that after credit scene with him. It was perfect. Also I was right there with you Andre. I was sitting there in that theater most of the movie having fun but not having any big reactions, because it was a less packed theater and didn't want to be "that guy". But THE MOMENT I SAW SNIPES WALK INTO THAT SCENE I WAS ON CLOUD NINE! My eyes went wide, I pushed back into my seat and arched my back to keep myself from standing up and covered my mouth to muffle the noise of pure joy that came out of my mouth. I was NOT expecting it, but DAMN was it good to get it. I LOVE the first two Blade movies. They're some of my favorite movies and I've been so hyped for the new one to eventually come out. But to get this GLORIOUS moment of superhero cinematic history where the OG Blade walked up and kicked ass just made my damn day. Overall I had a lot of fun with this movie. Sure it may not be the most deep narrative experience, it may not be the "best Marvel movie ever", but damnit it was FUN! And that's all I can ask for. I'll be picking this up when it releases for sure. We got movie Wolverine in a COMIC ACCURATE COSTUME WITH MASK! We've been waiting for DECADES for that. We got Wolverine and Deadpool to team up. We got a lovely sendoff for the Fox Marvel Movies. I loved it. I'm happy.
See man this video right here is how I started to love your content man. Your talking points and opinions are ones I strongly agree with, and even if I were to disagree, you always have an articulated, valid reason as to why you believe what you do. I love your reviews man🔥
This movie was such a love letter to the Marvel movies of the past (good or bad 😅). It made me kinda emotional watching the end credit clips because it's crazy to see what superhero movies have become. I also NEED that Channing Tatum Gambit movie WITH that accent....for reasons 😂
I was like you I geeked out so bad when Laura showed up and everyone just looked at me. This is why I’m glad I learned a long time ago NEVER watch the final trailer
That scene with Deadpool and Wolverine fighting all the other Deadpools reminded me of a beat em up. Like a Bloody Streets of Rage or ultra violent Turtle in Time. Because of that 2D angle shot. And the only reason I knew Blade was a Marvel character was because of the Spider-Man animated series appearance a few years prior.
Hands down one of the best comic movies ever made. So many surprise fan service moments with the search for Wolverine montage. Channing Tatum's gambit was so much better than I had expected him to be. It was great to see Wesley Snipes as blade again. I think Cavill would kill at as Wolverine in a full movie. I loved the Plains, Trains, and Automobiles/ Back to the future type vibes. Can't wait to see it again.
It would be nice if T'challa got this kind of love instead of erasing him from the movies and animation. As for fan service, it works if done right. As long as it makes sense and moves the story, it's great. It worked perfectly in End Game but not so much in Star Wars. Sounds like Deadpool got it right. Great review. It's great to see fans excited again.
I remember when Black Panther came out I saw some people saying that he was the first Black super hero. And as much as I loved Black Panther movie the whole time I was just thinking “excuse me, are we forgetting about Blade??!!!”
YES! I've been waiting for this ALL weekend! Btw, PSA, to ALL the people who spoiled the cameos on Twitter and YT.... Kindly see Deadpool and he'll know what to do!
I completely forgot that Wesley and Ryan didn't get along during production in Blade 3! It adds another layer to the cameo and I need to watch it again!
Wesley Snipes is in perfect form. I see no reason for them to replace him. The problem with fan service is when it is stuck in there and adds nothing to the story. IMO, these weren’t cameos or fan service, they were integral parts of the story.
I was happy beyond belief that we had Sabertooth back, though I'm sad to see his role not be so long. Guess they didn't have time to plan that far ahead.
I love how the van fight was basically a gay sex scene complete with close-ups, dirty talk and a show tune. I'm gay myself, I took a boy on a date to the theater to see the movie and this was basically the highlight of the movie for us. It was hysterical, especially the zoom-in on the "Coexist" bumper sticker as the van was rocking. THAT was PERFECT. Probably the best way to acknowledge fan-shipping that I've seen since the South Park "Craig x Tweak" storyline. Marvel really showed it still has its balls, on this one.
12:45 I thought it was Cap for like 2 seconds after the face reveal. The red material in his sleeves was definitely definitely added just to throw people off.
I cried, pretty much, whenever X-23 was on screen. I didn’t watch the final trailer, either, but I got spoiled by Dafne Keen posting a picture of comics X-23 and tagging the movie in the caption. There shouldn’t be ANY new trailers, once we’re within a month of release.
Ryan was made to be the glue that made 2024 and theatre seeing that much more awesome. Imagine, being in Blade 3 and Wolverine Origins, and just filling in the blanks like you're a kid again. Love letter, fan service, kick it to Disney/marvel, and doing it with your family. F*cking awesome and Dream come true.
I loved this movie. As soon as I walked out of the theater, I wanted to turn around and watch it again. It was a good time movie, and just what I needed when it feels like the world is on fire.
Getting Thomas Jane back as Punisher would've been perfect. Punisher is the best non X-Men character team up with Deadpool in the comics, their history runs deep and it would've been great to see him there instead of just mentioned by Elektra a couple of times.
Apologies to Blake Lively, Matthew McConaughey, Nathan Fillion, and Ryan & Blake's kids for not mentioning they voiced various Pools.
The question I still ask beside why Thor crying? Where was Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider?

The fact tha Wesley and Ryan used to have beef back in the blade movies and not only that they poke fun about it but also made up is kinda wholesome
23:57 ❤❤❤
-doubletoasted 😮😮😮
Me 😂😂😂
X22 IS THE ONLY PERSON THAT I CAN IMAGINE FILLING WOLVIE WHEN HE RETIRES ❤😊
I love you Andre, been watching for years, almost 10. Been waiting for this one, keep it up my man
That car fight scene was so great! It was my favorite in the film, closely followed by that opening scene
See man this video right here is how I started to love your content man. Your talking points and opinions are ones I strongly agree with, and even if I were to disagree, you always have an articulated, valid reason as to why you believe what you do. I love your reviews man🔥
Glad to see you still uploading, Andre!
Keep up the great work
I bet that Andre is having all of fun with the popcorn bucket
YES!!!!!!! Yes I thank you for uploading about this Andre. I was PRAYING you would 🔥🔥🔥
And almost 30 minutes🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 thank the heavens 😆😆
Just like a prayer...
The coexist tag during the car fight made me laugh out loud so much!😂😂😂
(Blade quote) I don’t think I’ve ever heard you cuss lmao that was incredible!
Had to come back and see Andre’s take on this movie after not checking in for a while still love the videos after all this time.
I just got the Blind Al old spice ad while watching this lol
Greetings Andre! Happy Friday Eve!! Till he's 90 😂
Your Electra take is spot on!
I caught a glimps of Robot Deadpool in the mass of Deadpools
Deadpool 2099
Best MCU Film Since NWH with great bromance, humor and cameos. Jackman Deserves A Oscar nomination. This is what Marvel needed right now.
So we’re just gonna ignore the obvious recast stunt of giving him a child with the same name?
I remember when Black Panther came out I saw some people saying that he was the first Black super hero. And as much as I loved Black Panther movie the whole time I was just thinking “excuse me, are we forgetting about Blade??!!!”
YES! I've been waiting for this ALL weekend! Btw, PSA, to ALL the people who spoiled the cameos on Twitter and YT.... Kindly see Deadpool and he'll know what to do!
A bot stole your comment and now it's sitting on top.
Yea I hate UA-cam thumbnails spoiling things a day or two before release.
IMO, these weren’t cameos or fan service, they were integral parts of the story.
i can to break the 4th fall . . . The Proposal 🤣
Loved Deadpool and Wolverine…your breakdown was great, agreed with everything you said
I was happy beyond belief that we had Sabertooth back, though I'm sad to see his role not be so long.
Mmmmm MMMH, that cameo that gave you that GAT DAYUM reaction.
Durex: it should be in your wallet~
It was a little thing but I loved the Loki reference when Deadpool meets the Hulk 😂 (I am a god you dull creature/I am marvel Jesus you dull creature)
12:45 I thought it was Cap for like 2 seconds after the face reveal. The red material in his sleeves was definitely definitely added just to throw people off.
Finally! The only review I really look forward to.
15:03 SAME. Something about Jennifer Gardner in THIS hit DIFFERENT
I actually didn't realize Blade was a Marvel character either until I played Marvel Ultimate Alliance and he was one of the playable characters
I loved the duelling pianos scene from Roger Rabbit
"Never work with a duck with a thpeech impediment"
The first fight seen was my favorite. Still trying to ice skate uphill! 😂 ⛸️
I enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine a lot and I loved every moment of it. Deadpool and Wolverine gets a 10 out of 10 for me
First time watcher... new subscriber
Nah, it was great and having Wolverine come from another universe, made like a soft reboot. Great!
15:21 so glad you brought this back😂😂😂😂
Literally the only reaction/review I've been waiting for
Deadpool & Wolverine is exactly what Peter Venkman said Gozer would be: "Human sacrifice, cats and dogs living together - Mass hysteria!"
23:24 L-M-A-O!!
Ryan was made to be the glue that
made 2024 and theatre seeing that much more awesome. Imagine, being in Blade 3 and Wolverine Origins, and just filling in the blanks like you're a kid again. Love letter, fan service, kick it to Disney/marvel, and doing it with your family. F*cking awesome and Dream come true.
There were only a few people at my showing, but they certainly cheered loud enough to fill the whole room😂
I loved seeing Blade again too! I shouted when he showed up
I love your excitement for movie & tv shows recaps!!!
My favorite cameo character was X-23 aka Laura Kinney played by Dafne Keen from Logan it was great to see her all grown up
I loved this movie.
Thomas Jane was awesome 🎉
Gambit killed one of his villains that was played by Kevin Nash. It’s apparent Ryan at least tried to get him back but couldn’t for whatever reason.
This movie really felt like the last hurrah of the pre-MCU Marvel movies. A send off.
I freaking love this movie man.
