Chana Masala Recipe ( Odia ) : It is one of a very popular gravy side dish in North-India and avaialble at every restaurants in all over India as well. Here I have shown the typical way of making Restaurant , Dhaba style super creamy and smooth Chana masala with 2 secret ingredients and tips as well. Which is a must try dish. So, watch how to make restaurant style Chana masala at home in this video made by Mrunalinee. Do serve the tempting chana masala hot with Roti, butter naan, kulcha etc . or with Jeera rice, plain rice . Enjoy :)
Ingredients :
1. Chickpea ( kabuli buta / chana ) - 2 cups ( or 200gm )
2. Boiled Potato - 1
3. Finely chopped Onion - 2 ( big ) ** do not grind the onions **
4. Crushed Ginger Garlic - 1 tbsp ( 1 inch ginger + 5-6 garlic cloves )
5. Chopped Green Chilli - 2 nos.
6. Ginger julienne ( cut as thinly as possible ) - 2 inch
7. Sliced Green Chilli - 2 nos.
8. Yogurt / Curd - 4 tbsp ( 50gm ), instead you can use finely chopped Tomato ( 1 - big )
9. Dry Fenugreek leaves ( Kasuri methi ) - 1 tbsp
10. Kashmiri Red Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
11. Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
12. Roasted Cumin powder - 1 tbsp
13. Garam Masala - 1 tbsp
14. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
15. Whole Spices ( Bay leaf - 1 + Cloves - 3 + Green Cardamom - 2 + 1 inch Cinnamon stick )
16. Finely chopped Coriander leaves
17. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
18. Asfoetida ( Hing / Hengu ) - 2 pinch
19. Salt to taste
20. Oil - ( 4-5 tbsp ) or as required .
