If you can't pull yourself out of the pit, find ways to force yourself out of it. I was my own worst enemy, and to say I had no enemies was murdering my drive to find an opponent/goal. If there was no one to blame, or to hold accountable, then it would've been well and truly my fault. And as harsh as it sounds, it was all my fault. I could've run far and wide, made a better life for myself instead of wallowing in despair for two years, pretending I wasn't being my own villain. When I go to the gym the weight I lift is not impressive by any stretch of the imagination, but I tell myself it is not about where I am, but where I am going. Same as there is strength in dominating and being tenacious. I guess all I’m saying is there is validity things you might not agree with, like the “I have no enemies” phrase
Agreed. This world is very nuanced. Having a black and white mindset could only get you so far in certain situations. Being more adaptive to an ever changing world and holding ideals of strength yet with compassion can go a long way. I understand what this video was trying to say overall but it does come off as being a bit too rigid. It also misses some points at certain ideals that people have. We should acknowledge the reality of this world and be prepared. Yet, we should also not lose sight of the best and loving parts of our humanity. We all struggle, but we all should not lose sight of the best of what we can be.
Kindly ask you fine Sir, to keep sharing this gift to those who will listen, thank you for these steps of guidance to the light of self-knowledge. Blessings from Venezuela
the problem is that most people don't have the right mix of both soft and tough love. some people grow up with too much masculine tough love, this can lead someone to view discipline and self restraint as oppressive and unloving when no flexibility is given. this leads one to go to the opposite extreme of that and have no strong values or self control many more people grow up with too much soft, motherly love and are never told boundaries and how to be a decent human being. mothers have a tendency to want to be friends and closer to their kids than the father, which inherently isn't a bad thing, however if you don't have a strong father figure giving tough love to balance this out it can enable the child to not be able to really properly function as in the real world there are tough times and mean people out there. simply wishing the world was a softer kinder place does not magically make it so. in the modern age the balance between the parents has been completely destroyed. many people grow up with one parent, or go between the two parents, or otherwise just don't have parents that cooperate in parenting.
I had been searching for the right ai gimmick to quickStart a UA-cam channel. How foolish of me. It's true that family is being built by going through tough times, I had that wake up call when I realized that tolerating the wrong things was just avoiding conflict. And when I tried to resolve these conflicts they were interpreted as an insult or misunderstanding. I also realized that after a certain point you can't "fix" someone, having that messiah complex only caused me pointless worry and guilt. So if someone doesn't want to change then stop tolerating it and let them go or criticize with good intentions. Sadly tolerance gets confused with acceptance so easily these days, its a shame I had to learn this by myself in those last few years in my 20's. I had to learn many things like these because I lacked that genuine tough love in my life.

About the violence portion of the video- I believe that being completely harmless is an awful thing, it means you are nothing but a pawn. I also believe that being Ruthless is an awful thing because it means you will be alone. I have tried to be both of these things and discovered first hand that neither of them work for both reasons. Like most things, moderation Is key- to be strong when it is called for and to do what needs to be done, but not to become a destroyer.
Thank you so much for this. In these dark times of brain rot "content" and total infantilization in people, it is truly refreshing to head some sober honest truth. I feel inspired and assured that I am on the right path. Hello from eastern Europe
Be humble. When you work on yourself, keep it secret… don’t boast about your achievements. Bring it up in conversation but keep it brief. When you workout don’t post pictures. When people see the outcome be humble. You will more respected in the long run when you are humble.
The thing that gets me in all of these, is the encouragement. I won’t lie, I have been weak. I am weak as of writing this, yet I still have garnered respect and virtue of some people. Thank you for this. I'm partially on disability (60% disability checks/40% work), struggle with myself every hour of the day and have next to no connections, but.. To the young men in here feeling lowly; you have not lost yet completely kings, merely your crowns are so drawn with filth you've forgotten the glitter you bear into this world. Do your best through the torrent darkness ahead to keep it glinting while you carry your lantern. And for those like me who are aging and already had your time; brush off your pelts of selfishness and lend your hand to light another's if yours burns bright. We cannot achieve getting to the top of the mountain when we are holding each other down like crabs in a bucket. Be each other's strengths, and in turn lay bare your weaknesses so we may build the proper foundation to move our true way forward. I love you all, stay strong and smile ❤

Nope. I literally and truly love everyone. I know how this sounds and looks but I love unconditionally... I get that looks weak to everyone but that's the meaning of tough love too, literally.
I’m thankful to have found this gem of a channel. You are correct about the copycats, I would be thankful for them as it is a sign of your ability to create great content. Even these fake voices, who merely read the same stoic quotes, cookie cutter content. This is humanity, some cannot create. Some will fall for them, I think we need not worry for them, as the ones who can identify true genuine messages, teachings, and stories are the ones that will always flourish. Thank you again.
I'm glad I stumbled on these videos. I gotta say, it's helping me turn my life around. I used to be a hardcore otaku and borderline degenerate and after listening to these videos and discovering other Joshua Graham contents, I've took a very large step back to reflect in my life... and I'm glad I did. I really needed it. Thank you and God bless 🙏
I don’t know if it has an impact on your opinion on the series but Vinland Saga is more about exploring pacifism after going through the depths of violence and hell, where the main character was one of these people who did a lot of terrible things and has taken so many lives and now has a lot of blood on his hands to atone for. I believe “I have no enemies” more as a strength after facing vengeance and a seemingly valid reason to hate rather than a weakness towards violence. Way too many people go out to attack each other while they could’ve made some decent conversations otherwise and I feel it’s a valid critique against such things like that. But I can see why it can be weak in another point of view. And fans from the way you describe it don’t sound like they’re helping while spreading the message either.

I believe that being completely harmless is an awful thing, it means you are nothing but a pawn.
I am forever blessed to have them. I have tried, but haven’t tried nowhere hard enough. I am glad that you make these. I am glad that you are encouraging and inspiring people to go out and improve their life, mind, spirit, finances and body. Thank you for growing, so you can teach us to grow in a time where most will stop as a sprout. Thank you.
watching your videos has let me see the light of God again. Thank you.
I really hope you continue to upload. How you voice your perception and opinion on subjects can not only challenge mine in some ways and help me sharpen my understanding (perspective/logic/wisdom) on subjects, but expand on notions that I myself share.
When I view your content my knowledge/logic and critical thinking/perspective improves, and I would appreciate you continuing your uploads.
They may tell things to hurt you, but they never tell you things that hurt you to make you better
Your videos make my gut wrench and I love it. It means I know it's true and I need to hear it. Thank you.
Thank you for this. I'm partially on disability (60% disability checks/40% work), struggle with myself every hour of the day and have next to no connections, but.. I do everything I can and I know my weaknesses as much as I know my strengths, and I try everything I can to pull at least some of my weight. I grew up sheltered and have always been afraid of everything, even growing up in a society such as Norway. I didn't initially identify with everything said in this but I agree-
I am a weak man and I won't shy away from this. I *know* this and I have made peace with it, but I will try and be the best weak man I can be
You'll get there lad!
This is incredible, I had a bad day, and this lightened up my mood. Thank you!
I can't express enough how important and impactful your writing is.
I've been holding off watching this video for a while because I knew it would hurt me. I was afraid of pain. I was too comfortable with my life. I really needed this. Especially now when a new chapter of my life is about to begin and a lot of people are looking up to me. Thank you, God speed
I will.. with all my pain and knowledge will be... A father and love does not take but make better... Never hurt but be stronger never lower always rise... For you are the future.
As a traumatized 32 year old man child, this hurt a lot. Thanks. I needed it.
Having just broken up with my girlfriend due to my inability to trust her anymore, this really helps. I'm still in a lot of pain but this makes it a little more bearable.
The whole “red pill” craze on the web could stand to hear this
Thanks for sharing this. Its helping look at things better not expecting unreasonable things. Again thank you.
You sir, are a true 1 in 1 million that is truly a hidden treasure. Your words have truth that I respect, and I hope more people will take your words by heart, God bless you brother.
I really like the videos you put out, they reinforce the hope that there are wise men left in this world. I’ve always felt that I’m a glitch in my generation( Gen Z) I’m almost the opposite of what people are today. But I know that I am still human, and I’ll strive to do my best to survive the current situation but spread my goodwill to others, like what you’re doing right now.

19:23 I agreed up to this point, I don't agree that lacking claws makes you a weak man. Not owning a gun doesn't make you weak, its the inability to pull the trigger when its needed.
Can’t pull a trigger you don’t have
I nneeded to hear this. Thank you kindly. May the God of your faith guide you all.
This is more of a wake-up call for me. I had to listen to this three times, and the more I did, the more the words made sense.
Thank you.❤
Recently been going thru Love spells with someone I see a long future with. This feels like a sign from the Lord to keep pressing on. Thank you for this.
Good to know someone is preaching what I see as well. Thank you.
I've been thinking of something to say about your channel, and I can only say thank you. You've showed me things I never even thought about before. And plus, listening to Joshua is always a plus
I always come back to these videos to think improve or just to listen to and they are great and I love your writing man keep it up.
Keep going brother ! We need more of this !
Your words are truth brother
brother..you dont know how much i need to hear these videos, i want you to flourish and kept strong and safe for thanks for telling me what i need to hear, not what i want
Glad you're back :) Great video bro, always love the insight and writing you do on this channel. Great job!! 🙏👏
You my friend is one of the greatest speakers I have ever heard, great video. 👏
Please, keep up with the Joshua Graham good work man.
I missed you Joshua. Thanks for coming back and being my study buddy 🍻
Powerful truth, incredible.
"How can i learn from loss if i get a trophy for it" that hit deep
Thank you for posting these things man you are always spot on
Thank you for keeping on keeping on.
This is fantastic!! Edit: I’ve sent this to my family. Some of them are angry.
If only for a moment. I have been brought out of a very dark place. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
True... So True...
You just gave the best advice for new parents.....
This is so true. Thank you for this reminder.
Start turning your life around by changing that profile picture.
@@DariusFlynt_2012 I will once I get off work 👍
Thank you for this wisdom.
Thank you, this really does mean something
Truly In awe!!!
Definitely one of the most psychologically profound videos I've ever seen, thanks man!
Finally! We've missed you
There is something in the voice that makes you to listen
Sweet, he's back!
A lot of meaning in that, understanding it came to me when i read Erich Fromm's works, especially his book "Man for Himself".
Actually love this so much!! YOURE AMAZING good job!!
bro ur vids cured my depression
This is amazing. Thank you.
glad to see you back and just as based as ever
Thank you for your wisdoms.
