I went to see Andy's Wishbone Ash. Good concert,enjoyed it, but............ ....makes me wish I'd seen Martin Turner in the line up, as he's the better bassist and has undoubted charisma.
I love Wishbone Ash. I began following them when I first seen them in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom back in the early seventies. I must of seen them at least 7 times.
Wishbone Ash was the original band, with Andy, Martin, Ted, and Steve, All the changes after Ted left were different. I would like to know why it happened?
There’s an interview on UA-cam in which Martin explains that Ted Turner left the band because he got tired of playing the same songs and he didn’t enjoy being on tour , Simple as that

I can't like Martin Turner's WA. It sounds bureaucratic and uninspiring unlike Andy Powell's WA, which is always hot and creative, regardless of whether they are playing classics from so many years ago, for the most part. It's really a shame that Martin and Andy no longer have friendly relationships. It would be great to see them together again. Not to mention that Ted Turner and Steve Upton are also alive.
Wishbone ash without Andy Powell and a Flying V is just a tribute act sorry but only one Wishbone Ash for me imo cheers long live the ASH

Both guitars are Q-rich (Bosnia)made out of the same ash used by Stradivarius to make the most famous violins in the the world up to date

Holy crap, could a singer be more off key than Martin. My dog is howling at the moment because of this, and my dog makes better sounds than Martin.
