If you're thinking about moving to Panama City, let us know below. Why do you want to go there? Do you already know Spanish? When do you hope to move there?

So what is the difference between a expats and a immigrants?????

    • @ExpatsEverywhere

Mr Salazar in short, semantics. The modern usage of the two words speaks to the length of stay or intended length of stay in the new country and often times a lifestyle choice. Expat is viewed as far more temporary and also the decision to go abroad is bore out of the desire to living a lifestyle of travel and seeing new things although economic advantages are still there. The reality is you can use the two words pretty interchangeable.

FACTS In order to be eligible for the foreign-earned income exclusion, you must meet the following three requirements: •Your tax home must be in a foreign country
•You must have foreign-earned income $107,600 of your foreign-earned income from your U.S. income taxes. For the tax year 2021, this amount increases to $108,700.[1
] This provision of the tax code is referred to as the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.

$1,000/month you can live comfortably and even save. You just gotta know what you're doing, for example: ua-cam.com/video/zKy8PdLTrZQ/v-deo.html As you can see, it doesn't have to spell an hardship nor the need to live in an straw hut. Let's not forget that for the average Panamanian the middle income salary is actually $1,200/month. Immigrants to Panama often frame things based on the expectations of their home countries. Let's face it, most people don't live in a condo with a gym and a rooftop pool overlooking the Panama Canal and the ocean. Most everyday people live like, well, everyday people.
I do welcome these Hamburgers as they look like good people and I wish them a happy residence in Panama as Panama has a bit of everything for everyone.

FACTS we all happy for what we got but at some point we all going to get older and we going to need cash, that is the reason you will need a future tax free planning in order to live good
and free of high expenses, here is an example you got a boat, you have to park it at the marina, it cost lot of money to park, ok let me go look for a country that offer free park and tax haven
ok we will take the boat to Marbella Spain, now you see why is important to understand the U.S. TAX CODE in order to live tax free at low cost living, THE U.S. tax code give you the opportunity
to exclude $108,700.1 in PANAMA IF YOU OWN A CORPORATION but you can not have client from panama other wise you will be tax in PANAMA just stick to the U.S. TAX CODE TAKE CARE

It's all in the framing. More like $1,000/month; you can live comfortably and even save. Let's face it, most people don't live in a condo in the big city near the banking sector with a gym and a rooftop pool overlooking the Panama Canal and the ocean. Most everyday people live like, well, everyday people.
I do welcome these Hamburgers as they look like good people and I wish them a happy residence in Panama as Panama has a bit of everything for everyone.

You are right and of course I do not forget that. And I am happy for you, that you are living with way less.
The city is definitely more expensive - standard, expectations and lifestyle plays a huge role. At some point we will leave the city as well. But not for now.
$4000 is an average. Can you live with less? Sure, as you can around the world.
The question is who is watching and wants to know more about moving, working and living in Panama.

@@CorneliaMikolash Yeah, you're right. This video is certainly more positioned to business people moving to Panama City rather than someone going to Panama to work a coffee plantation (which would be fun) or to go there on a fixed income as a retiree.
