The city is definitely more expensive - standard, expectations and lifestyle plays a huge role. At some point we will leave the city as well. But not for now. $4000 is an average. Can you live with less? Sure, as you can around the world. The question is who is watching and wants to know more about moving, working and living in Panama.

You do not need a Visa just asa tourist from the USA, Canada or the EU. You can stay for 180 days-
1500 a month will make it.... if you make more you can save that up
