1:01:45 "And this also makes Mirage Mirror way less of an out because you can't use moxes to activate them" Man, if only Stony Silence stopped the mirror also. /s :P
I know I'm late to the party, but at 1:00:16 LSV doesn't waste the workshop because he says that if Bob has another mox he just gets to play whatever he wants over the trinispere... but he would need a land and a mox because they cost 3 because of T-sphere...
At 54:30 why did you play Jace before destroying their land with Wasteland? Is that technically correct? I don't know Vintage, it just seems intuitive to Wasteland first and I don't get it
Opponent could have force of will and flusterstorm. But it wouldn't have countered, since it would go like OPP FoW, LSV fluster, OPP fluster LSV's fluster, since LSV could pay for 2 flusterstorms that hit just one copy of his, and the opponent would have mana to pay only for one. I mean, I don't know if he thought all that through while playing fast and commenting. I guess the more usual and correct thing to do would have been just wastelanded and changed steps to empty their mana, even though I don't think there was a potential to a blowout there. PS: Now that I'm thinking through, opponent could have FoW + pyroblast there. It was not the best play, but he didn't get punished. Vintage seems very hard to play optimally.
But you can Always read the card, I mean, it's right there !!! :p Don't be like, oh Mirage Mirror.. Why is that in his deck.. Obviously for a reason, so read it :p
I think he might've assumed it was Bob trying something new in the shops Phyrexian Metamorph flex slot when he first saw it, that's what I thought before seeing the Dark Depths.
Im pretty sure that Black Lotus is cheaper than Force of Will and Wasteland on MTGO. Only Vintage uses Black Lotus and barely anyone plays Vintage because stereotypes.
Here is a question [i have not played vintage so this may sound stupid], why not run more 0 drops so your opponent gets less of a benefit from Mana drain and it can't be targeted by Mental misstep?
I miss the days when ChannelFireball used to have a young half Asian person of color who used to create his own brews and attack for #OVER9000! damage, instead of playing the same 9 decks over and over
you mean that guy who only had one deck and 10000 shit ass brews which didn't work and he wasn't even able to play them correctly or read that cards cause he was probably too stoned all the time? yeah right...
i do miss the days of "let's build another shitty budget deck, play it wrong and do not listen to the people pointing out flaws and mistake and next week, we do it all over again"
All these matches tell me is landstill sucks. Even with a few of the p9 is just doesn't flow. It feels like value cards with no win condition. And this is the best player in the world piloting.
I understand the Mishra's are the 2/2 win conditions. But the deck depends on OP not playing. Awesome deck when one is buy themselves drawing against no OP. But doesn't feel like t1 deck.
Googleplus Isterrible It's not a T1 deck. You said it sucked. There's a pretty big gap there. This is a good deck. It doesn't depend on your opponent not playing. It pressures them to not play spells. You establish a favorable boardstate, play Standstill, and then they have to exchange card advantage with you to develop their boardstate so they don't just lose.
My favorite MTG player playing my favorite Vintage deck. YES, though that Mirage Mirror Dark Depths thing was painful to see coming.
1:01:45 "And this also makes Mirage Mirror way less of an out because you can't use moxes to activate them"
Man, if only Stony Silence stopped the mirror also. /s :P
"Turns out, Bob's good at Magic."
Jonathan Bohn He’s also good at “committing tournament fraud” as it says on his Wikipedia page.
I am way more excited when LSV posts legacy or vintage videos than any grown man should be. Seriously moar, moaaaaar!
40:00 is an AMAZING game, so much back and forth
lsv? vintage? vs Bob?
How could I not love it...
Video starts at 0:00
Julian Dukes thank you
Thx man
you're a terrific magic player dude. really enjoyed watching.
I disagree with your wasteland play in m1g2, you only got to destroy their bad lands ;)
Mentor is explosive. That prowess ability can really put the pressure on.
I know I'm late to the party, but at 1:00:16 LSV doesn't waste the workshop because he says that if Bob has another mox he just gets to play whatever he wants over the trinispere... but he would need a land and a mox because they cost 3 because of T-sphere...
LSV is like bob Ross. No idea what he’s talking about(I️ don’t play vintage. Mostly modern. I️ also don’t paint) but his voice is so soothing
Ah yes lsv back in vintage probably my 2nd favorite format
Finally, more vintage!
Excellent as always LSV!
White bordered disenchant whaaaat LSV ?
I’m a simple man...etc.
topdecks one of the power nine "thats not bad"
Yaaas lsv vintage
As someone who mostly plays Arena and watches Modern......this shit is insane.
* Windows noises *
"I don't need standstill here" Who are you and what have you done with LSV!?!
At 57:45 i was like, oh i thought mirror targets lands, guess not. Think again, LSV is not always right! XD
Lord bless your first opponent for letting us see the entire game.
Hey lsv! Can you try this deck again with Urzas Sagas?
Will pass along the request!
Mirage mirror putting in work!
also why SaffronOlive wins games with jank that in theory should not work :D
oh boy Library sure is a balanced card :^)
At 54:30 why did you play Jace before destroying their land with Wasteland? Is that technically correct? I don't know Vintage, it just seems intuitive to Wasteland first and I don't get it

M1G2 was disgusting lol
I can just imagine Wizards seeing that game and banging their heads on the wall for thinking misstep was a good idea.
I'm curious to know whether the snow lands are incidental benefit against something else in vintage or just for aesthetics?
I'm wondering why LSV was so worried about Marit Lage in Match 5, game 2 when he has a JTMS sitting in play....
mach 1 starts at 3:40
Hands up everyone who didn't know Mirage Mirror could copy lands.
The mirage mirror fail lol... sometimes even the best don’t know what all of the cards do exactly :d
Just trying to understand, at 09:30, why not cast disenchant on their end step?
Around 27 minutes in why didn't he pearl and stony? I mean sure doesn't win game but it does help him right?
Black lotus just casually chilling in the deck
Im pretty sure that Black Lotus is cheaper than Force of Will and Wasteland on MTGO. Only Vintage uses Black Lotus and barely anyone plays Vintage because stereotypes.
Here is a question [i have not played vintage so this may sound stupid], why not run more 0 drops so your opponent gets less of a benefit from Mana drain and it can't be targeted by Mental misstep?
why do you run stony over null rod?
oh and lsv + vintage is always great
There is more artifact disruption in the format.
There's a bunch of stuff like steel sabotage in the format, not as many disenchants and fragmentizes.
Because null rod does nothing
thanks for the answers
just thought null rod is a little easier to cast
and does the same thing as stony
There's a lot more artifact destruction in the format.
so good!
lsv even i knew mirage mirror works like that
No mentor mainboard?
The white-bordered Disenchant always tilts me.
Why?
Dude, Balance is one of the most powerful cards ever made. Don't doubt it; play it.
Should have brought Cage in against the tinker deck.
My version is playing a dragonlord ojutai and a moat. Gas
holy shit M3G3 was amazing
TGO = Dark Confidant?
Yes, TGO is Bob Maher's MTGO handle.
Flip it. Reverse it
Doesn't balance get rid of marit Lage ...?
Garrett Brandenburg yes, but he floated mana to make it after balance was done resolving
Hey LSV, at 29:08, I was wondering if it would make more sense to crack flooded strand on your upkeep
50:08 that's what fear sounds like
lol how much money is this deck ?
Is that the same list Gabby used?
"Every thingle thing"
"1 and 0".. come on : D
Eighty fourth!
No Null Rods???
mulder1979 theres more artifact removal in the format then enchantment removal so stony silence is better
Save Mean agreed but even then he should play more copies of Stony Silence... .
I miss the days when ChannelFireball used to have a young half Asian person of color who used to create his own brews and attack for #OVER9000! damage, instead of playing the same 9 decks over and over
You mean the nazi?
If you mean Twoo, he still has his own channel "Travis Wizard" but the guy has gone mental and uploads only BS now.
Twoo has his faults but that whole Nazi thing was a load of hot air
you mean that guy who only had one deck and 10000 shit ass brews which didn't work and he wasn't even able to play them correctly or read that cards cause he was probably too stoned all the time? yeah right...
i do miss the days of "let's build another shitty budget deck, play it wrong and do not listen to the people pointing out flaws and mistake and next week, we do it all over again"
For real though, and I the only guy that originally thought LSV was a nickname short for Language Sex Violence?
Pay that child supporr
boring format, boring games all the time
All these matches tell me is landstill sucks. Even with a few of the p9 is just doesn't flow. It feels like value cards with no win condition. And this is the best player in the world piloting.
Googleplus Isterrible misharas factory snapcaster and jace are the win conditions
Welcome to Vintage? Unless you're playing combo, it's just a value war.
Mason Miller not better than I a 20 cent lightning bolt
I understand the Mishra's are the 2/2 win conditions. But the deck depends on OP not playing. Awesome deck when one is buy themselves drawing against no OP. But doesn't feel like t1 deck.

Yawn more counter spell decks.... Yawn
