your explanations of lines you take are awsome rly nice insight in your thinking. good stuff you show that you have to know the format (other decks) rly well to play this strat in modern. ya i know the deck it self need not alot of skill to play but alot of knowlege, ppl who think bogles is an easy deck to get wins with havent played it in the current modern format with all the disruption.
I was pretty surprised with the lines of play I'd pull off with GW Bogle. The most satisfying ones revolve around Spiritdancer though; either using one to juke opponent, then cast a second and, my favorite, going all-in on one at the right time...cantripping a bunch of 1cc enchantments and building a 16/16 feels pretty good. Great deck for trolling queues after scrubbing-out with a control deck. Losses feel really bad though and usually are the result of mulling too low or flood. Beware. It's a challenge to tune a gw bogles deck to effectively run them, but Suppression Field seems underplayed. I always liked having them in my 15.
I really like playing Suppression Field though it non-bos with Gryff's Boon and Canopy. It slows/shuts down a lot of threaths. I also play 2 main deck Sixth Sense to have some extra draws in case the Spiritdancer gets bolted or I end up with few resources.
See, I think with the popularity of spot removal right now, Silhanna Ledgewalker seems like a better two drop. If you want card draw, Keen Sense seems fine (not great, but fine).
why no Geist of st traft? And Aquarius form is such a underrated/under played card, especially in a W/B bogles deck. Unlockable and a scry enchantment for 1 blue manna! That with " curiosity" to draw a card is such good value. Helps you be able to use daybreak and keeps you drawing action. Now put them on a geist and its game over.
don't wantto that's what I was thinking but tbh that was really greedy even if he did because of Corey draws a fetch his lili is blanked, but to make matters worse he didn't even have lili
Need Help, dunno what deck to build next and need some suggestions. I enjoy combo, aggro and shenanigans. I thought of building a red deck wins or storm, but also enjoy bogles, red black vehicles, and now i dont know what could be fun. Suggestions?
at the end of game one you were at 24 life and your opponent could have had a 12/12 doublestrike trample. You said you would have blocked with your 12/12 lifelink bogle but that would have been a needless sacrifice. you could have easily blocked with the 1/1 and lived with 1 life for the crack back. No need to sacrifice the big one. Ot would have been especially bad to lose it if opp dropped another creature after swinging in.
I'm sorry but as a boggle player. You made way to many misplays. It is a linear deck but you still can do things in the wrong order. The side boarding was horrible as well. You might wanna play a few matches before recording in the future with a deck you havent played before.
Sounds like you’re just trying to be a douche. I saw major misplays, and the ones that he made, he pointed out. You sound like someone who’s been playing modern for 3 months, and think they know everything
Not how I'd build Grixis Control but Corey's the master so I'll defer to him.
If he ran into Shota during this, you have to think he'd shame-concede, right?
I love how affectionately he refers to the boggles.
Great content as usual Corey, you quickly became one of my top 3 content creators on CF, along with LSV and Reid.
That's some high praise.
>not having mengucci in your top three
still the background noise keeps him back, hence why I still prefer Frank

This was really entertaining, well done!

I know I like to run suppression field in my 50% fetch/canopy landbase deck.
Do you record from inside a coin laundry store?

very interesting take on a deck that showcases Magic's strongest points of interaction and intricacies.
Chrizzie 78 Give this man an emmy.

I really don't understand why the guy didn't take rancor with his inquisition game 1, and that singlehandedly lost him the game
Yeah, can't even comprehend that idea. Like WTF was that man thinking?
The only logical reason behind it would be if he had Lilian in hand, since he could edict the remaining boggle on turn 3 leaving him with no creature.
don't wantto that's what I was thinking but tbh that was really greedy even if he did because of Corey draws a fetch his lili is blanked, but to make matters worse he didn't even have lili
Jan Rodriguez I thought that to. The only reason to do that Maybe they wanted to bluff a Liliana for future matches
TheClashingLegend You're being too generous to him 😂

Since we are playing not T1 decks, can you do a run of Soul Sisters?
Would not creatures that cant be countered be a good addition to the deck or are there any even?
You betrayed us! Noooo!
Corey Burkheart playing a linear almost makes me sad
Temur Battle Rage would just have the Bogle trade with the Deaths Shadow
Corey why D:
welcome to a pauper...I mean modern deck tech

Boggles is the only deck that can mull to 4 and win.
Zack Estin Tron can pull off some wins with very few cards
Dredge can win with two
Red mana source, faithless looting
Really any deck can do it given the right hand and opponent
any deck can, hel it may even be favored if your opponent mulls to 5, keeps one-lander and draws non-lands.
Yay Corey, boo Bogles.
Chalice on 1
BOOOOGLÊS
Lmfao rip valakut that's absurd.
Grixis is better.

Tyler Green What were his misplays, and why was his side boarding incorrect?

You clicking your mouse makes an annoying noise. I assume you are on a laptop and use your mousepad. Please get an external nouse that is quiet.
Has is this guy a pro misses lethal in game one hmmm
I'm sorry, I didn't realize humans couldn't make mistakes.
^Slippery Boggle" Can i sit through in hour and a half of someone mispronouncing Bogle? Hmmm. Nope not strong enough. Sorry Corey.
www.dictionary.com/browse/bogle
Thanks for confirming my point I guess.
Look closer. It's correctly pronounced both ways.
