Imagine Justin Jefferson.. Jordan Addison.. TJ Hockinson and Tonyan..and Jones.. Chandler.. Oliver..and sam darnold throwing up dimes to all of them.. handing the ball off to Jones to tire out opposing defenses and softening them up.. playing with a lead the defense will pin their ears 👂 back and RUSH the passer and be disruptive. I think it's going to be a defining year
I think the team is going to be good, but Sam Darnold is still going to be Sam Darnold. Yeah, he has talent, but he is not even an average NFL QB. If McCarthy isn't ready, it will be a long year.
@@jodyfoster9278 have you even bothered to look into Darnold? Watch the games he played 4 the san francisco 49ers in relief for Purdy?? He is not the same player you are thinking of and I believe that he has a lot to prove but he also has KOC and McCown behind him and his decision making in ota's or mini camp were quick and decisive we'll see when the pads come out but I think he's going to shock a lot of fans
@@tim4cn759 Of course I have looked into Darnold, the real question is have you. He had a very small sample size with the 49ers but it was not much different than anywhere else. In his one start with SF he was 16-26 2 TDs and 1 INT. In that game he had 6 bad throws, 24% bad throws. He also took 3 sacks on his 29 drop backs despite only being blitz 6 time and only being pressured 16% of the time. So yeah I have looked and I am certain that if Darnold is the answer to a question is name QBs that were first round bust.

I just think he's not the same player as the jets quarterback who was thrust into action before he was ready and had a terrible oline he did throw a ton of interceptions but I think he's in a really good place to succeed now.. we'll see maybe your right I know I'm drinking too much purple kool-aid 😎 but I want to see our team do good and McCarthy is the future in the meantime I just hope our offense doesn't look like it did when kirk went down
@@tim4cn759 I think Darnold is the same player that was with the Jets, but he is in a better situation with the Vikings. I am not a Vikings fan, but I would love to see the win a bunch of Super Bowls going forward.
I think the key is McCarthy. When he is ready, they will be really good.

I think allowing murphy JR to get back to his normal position of slot corner will be helpful. Shaq Griffin should be solid as well. Right corner is where things will get dicy

Man, another Vikings hype vid that doesn’t even mention Josh Metellus. Vikings have 3 starting safeties. They all play, they all play well. They’ve been the most outstanding part of this defense. And it highlights how unique and exciting Flores is in his approach. He rushed 3 more than any other team, he rushed 8 more than any other team. The guy is doing wild things. We can’t think traditional with Flores, because he isn’t traditional.
Now go get lineal Joseph and Calais Campbell and hunter Renfrow and this team has no weaknesses

Top 3 offensive players went down last season, you left out TJ Hockinson in the intro paragraph. Mentioning him later on as a footnote, doesn't do the significance of his injury much justice
The Vikings didn't want to move on from the QB. They would not match an Atlanta a guaranteed contract. They then drafted a QB.
Nobody wanted to see them become a team in the NFL. Nobody likes the viklings. Have you never watched a history of the viklings video??

These titles are hilarious.
You realize that all the additions were to counter the massive subtractions. Hunter is a massive piece to replace, Cousins as well. To say they improved is neglecting what they lost.
While getting rid of hunter is tough, they picked up 2 very good pass rushers and a potentially elite rookie to back fill hunter. A 3 for 1 is a pretty good deal if you anticipate dallas turner has a chance to be good. It also provides the team with some much needed depth at edge rusher, which the Vikings really didn't have. Cousins is a big loss for the team, but they were going to have to make that move sooner or later. Mullens showed that the offense can operate with out cousins as long as you have someone who understands the system. I would like to think that darnold is better than mullens, and if hes at least as good as mullens, he could put up good numbers. Adding to the run game will hopefully take some pressure off the QB position.
Ultimately, I think Cousins is a big loss to the Vikings right now, but it was going to happen eventually, and he couldn't get the team over the hump. Hunter is a big loss as well, but I think having a balanced pass rush that can attack teams from both edge positions vs just having one really good edge rusher, puts the Vikings in a better position. Letting kirk and hunter go long term does open up some major cash for a free agent DT next season
