Wish I knew this earlier lol. I tried to do all 6 augments and 4 of the expensive ones stuck and my single mastery iv failed. So then when I retried without the protection the expensive ones failed. Go figure 😐

When so many of us dont know how aug protection works, it speaks volumes of how rare it is for an average player to get their hands on these items. I myself never had one of these as i dont have the sg recycle badges nor ac badges to exchange for these, and never spent on premium time. This is on sega purposely making augmenting a nightmarish gamble for everyone not paying them monthly fees than us being dumb kero
The protection basically works the same way as what we have in base PSO, iirc. My only problem right now is that these capsules are far too expensive to even use. We're talking 40 AC or SG items/badges for 1 capsule, or around 200SG in the Treasure Shop if it pops up.... Even at base PSO you only needed 10 AC items, however these only worked if you try to affix up to 4 augments, so it had it's limits. I don't know if this is ever going to change, but for now I'm sure most people will stay away from this thing and are better off just trying to get as close to 100% with their augments as possible
One thing to mention is that there is times when you want to do multiple augments when using a augment protection. If you are using boosters to increase chances to 100% why bother augmenting twice? The 70% will be 100% and not fail. This way you can save 30% while attempting to get a mastery on it. Just remember the more things not 100% the bigger the chance it all resets

Yes it does. Pass or fail it gets used.
final endgame with ultimate unit= a ton of protection :D change my mind. It´s the same like with the transferpasses in base game

I like to play without protection since rektem release...
but only do it if you okay with losing your wealth :')
You can also buy recycle badges out of personal shops to trade them in item trader for augment protection.

Because if the one you are gambling fails then there goes your 30% booster
