Yeah, RNG is a thing to behold, sometimes you have no choice but if you have the chance to not depend on it, go for it... if you have played other games like Fire Emblem you really have an idea of how the RNG loves to screw you over almost always (in the case of Fire Emblem is a constant situation were the enemy connects a hit on your units with very low hit% rate... like 1 to 45% while you miss them with nearly 100% at the worst times for example).
He should've learned this in base pso2. After hearing the horror stories of dudu leaving people in despair when augmenting guardian soul. I learned to save myself the agony and buy any gear with the augment then augment transfer it

It succeeded 4 times in a row... So thanks for the video, I can show this to show the horror stories that can happen in worse case.
In my case in Oracle enhancments and stuff happened to me more with Monica (while Dudu just goes harsh on you, Monica really regrets downgrading your equipment when the RNG screws you over bad time), but yeah, you never know how the RNG will act, last time when I upgraded my units in Oracle, I only got 1 time downgrade and like 3 times just wasting resources with nothing else happens, and like 4 straight very low success rate enhancements actually upgrading the units (also no support items used as I totally forgot about them).

Something awesome is augment protections can be found sometimes in the treasure shop for SG. If you're wondering how to get free SG, I would recommend CM3 in base pso2. You can get up to 500 sg weekly free if you have a good group and one character per ship.
Wait, but you could have just run the mastery 4 and the rest of the augments and apply the 30% chance boost and protection at the first go right? It would have been safer that way plus you can reduce the number of all other augments from 10 to maybe 7 or 8 to save some bits of it.

I'm sorry for your loss I had similarly bad luck about ~10 weeks ago, I now just don't trust those augmentation item protections. to me the sg is better spent on the mastery4S capsules that were released in the past and I will be ignoring them until something big and insanely hard to make is released like an NGS version of Guardian Soul. The SG I wasted collecting those was easily around 1600+ SG that I should've put towards the SG scratches and S capsule packs.
Welp, that stung. Dudu is still haunting us from the grave, for sure. I'm still saving up for the future and use the more affordable capsules instead. I only have maybe a few Augment Protection capsules myself since I really didn't want to spend 200SG+ on each of them. For now, I'm still stacking up and once I'm looking at content that I want to heavily invest on, then I'll start working more towards getting BiS stuff. Since I'm using almost all Classes across 3 characters and having another character on Ship 4, I really need to know when I can start overgearing. Cause it's gonna be expensive once that happens :P
I was so shocked when mine succeeded the first try!! I was putting all my augments on mine and I had 1 Mastery IV and was like I wonder....and surprise it worked!! Lol

I feel like you could have used less total upgrading items had you used the protection when doing ALL of your augments at once. I try to never use a 20 or 30% booster unless im adding multiple augments at once, that way they all benefit from said booster. Save materials that way. Anyways, thanks for making the video and showing us that even the big dogs can have bad luck with RNG. You took it like a champ though.

Is it best to go for Kouk or just use the seasonal weapon even after the seasonal event is finished? It seems like it is stronger then it if you have good fixas.
After seasonal event ends, the augment for seasonal enemies on there will be useless so just replace it with another augment. I have both weapons. Kouklo and seasonal. I use the kouklo for DOLLS if im doing UQ and seasonal weapon for pse combat sectors . I havent got any luck with rng getting fixa lv4 and 5 so i bought the fixa fatale lv3 for transfer
I dont recommend going that far for anything on this yet. We still have a long journey ahead and we don't really need super sweaty augments because we don't have any activity that requires it.
1 of my team members haven't use their special scratch tix & someone said to use them when there are any stuff you want after they update the scratch I always use them immediately after getting them unless I'm bz with something
Why doing this when we saw in the previous headline that we are going to get MIV soon with event points (can buy 10 of them january 11 to be more precise)
whenever that happens, take a garbage aug and gamble it a few times, i think the system is rigged. I've had m4s fail, then a bunch of 80% gigas fail afterwards 3 times in a row, so just fail like stamina 1s until you feel lucky enough or get one to go through, i think there's a pity system like for pse bursts

I had a giga precision 4 fail at 95% and wasted 10 capsules. Pretty rough...

I would say its the expensive balanced build.
This sort of thing keeps me from ever using mastery iv on my gear and i sell them every time i craft one
never rely on statistics when it comes to rng. chance is chance, statistics just shows the probability not a guarantee.
Thats why I always go for 100%
you had some bad luck before that "one" pass but still not as bad as when you lost out on the OG-PSO2 "God Soul"

you need to have success rate at 35 - 40% for master 4 to be worthed anything lower is not worthed

If you run stia purple triggers a lot , the tenebrous weapons will be a bit better than the attack 3 kouk weapons if you can get a fatale 4/5.

RNG on Genshin artifacts is worse. It's like they only want you to get DEF or HP LOL
