"The people with the nicest shit never get to use it because they're too busy paying for it." Couldn't have said it better myself. Hell yeah man. Also, the videos are sick but they should be longer. I could've sat here for 40 minutes watching this guy talk aobut his life.
A true overlander. Has everything you need, nothing you don't. Rare nowadays. Everyone just loads their rigs with anything and everything with no meaning behind it. Everything on his truck has a true purpose and looks it. Respect.
100%. The best part of 4WD touring is having a set up that is completely dialled in to your needs. Not throwing stuff on it for Instagram likes. It's easy to throw the ARB catalogue at a car. It's harder to actually think about what you truly need and how you can achieve that goal.
Hey, Huckberry, I think your films are among the best on the Internet. They go way beyond style. They represent. Most of us will spend entire careers trying to reach this level. Thank you for caring so much. 🙏
Of all the ‘van life’ videos I’ve watched over the years. This one resonates with me the most, especially his simplistic view of the life. Hopefully someday I can try to replicate his set up and lifestyle! Great video
Absolutely best part of the video is the last scene when Foster is repairing his completely destroyed wheels and we get a quick shot of his Nothing Is Fucked bumper sticker. Great dude, great attitude, great video!
Thank you for doing this video, I've been following Foster for a few years now and the dude just lives the life so many of us dream about and a real inspiration both in his creativity and his outlook on life.
Thanks for this! I've been setting up my life inspired by adventure, working to feed my soul. Living in my rig for two months in the winter and one in the summer. There are times when I second guess my decisions, but not today.
Rad set up 👌🏼 I’m an aspiring film maker myself and just getting my 1989 dodge cargo van ready for living in during filming adventures with my dog. Glad I found your channel 🫶🏼
I recognize where he f’d his wheel then he said I’ll be able to get back to Bend, and it was confirmed. That assent is trickier than the drone shots let on.
Family of four living in our travel trailer - everything we own is in this trailer + the back of the truck. Home has been where we parked it for the last four years. Including the middle of the desert, next to a river with a steelhead run, in temps below zero with snow, next to abandoned farm house in the middle of miles of grain fields, the bottom of a river gorge… I can attest this life makes the best memories and these are all good tips haha
My husband and I decided the best way for him to catch lots of big fish and stay true to his dreams of fly fishing adventures was to make it a family affair. Stoked my kids are growing up on the road and in the wild! It’s doable - to anyone wondering!
We have a similar rig... '05 Ram 3500 diesel with a slide in FWC Hawk on a flatbed with side boxes. I just think this type of rig is the ideal small footprint 4x4 capable camper with plenty of secure/weatherproof storage for your gear. Safe travels!
Killer, really like the setup, great video 🤙 We spend many months out of the year boondockin in the mtns and desert in our lightweight truck camper, it’s the best time and we’re never ready to stop!
Cool rig. I have a converted ambulance rv with a 2001 ford e350 turbo diesel with 140K miles on it. I hope to get out in it more, maybe for the winter in AZ, rather than just a weekend camper.
I had the same bent rim experience on one of my trips from Portland to Central America. I was deep down in rural Mexico, and fortunately, there was a small shack close by with a local welder who had the rudimentary tools to put it all right in about 15 minutes for $5.
Awesome Brother !! Thanks for sharing. I really admire your thoughts on this Life. Less is More. Your video and channel was brought to Me this morning through the wonderful UA-cam Algorithms & I am sure glad that it did. I am really looking forward to watching more like this. I dream & fantasize of Living on My Own Terms for the rest of my short life as I just recently became 47 Years Young. Mostly just like this and more. Hunting, Fishing & Loving Every Day. Thank You See You Soon Brother. 🦅💪🏾🙏🏾🪶✨
That's an endorsement for steel wheels lol, i will have to keep that strategy for a trail repair in the back of my mind if i'm ever in the same situation.
the off-road-blm event is here in town, Laughlin, Nv. I actually drove thru the casino's parking lots listening to this music @ 10:25. all the tesla alarms were going off in valet. they should have ordered push bumpers too
Amazing build and lifestyle. Looks like Tim is having the time of his life as well! Quick question if you read this: I have an '02 F250 extended cab also with the 7.3 Powerstroke. Did you take your rear seats out and use something like a drawer system for your storage or did you build that yourself? Considering doing the same for mine. Looking forward to your future videos. Thx for sharing!
I have enough excitement at home...don't need to throw everything in a truck and run over rocks to find excitement 🤣 But this guy seem to like it OK! 😃👍
“Everything will smell like bacon for a week” I never had that problem, unless your cooking with all the windows closed. Even then a week is quite long. Just from my experience. It’s totally worth having those two together. Just remember ventilation.
Nice setup! The flatbed and associated storage is awesome. I have a FWC on a standard bed truck. Consequently most everything ends up in the camper. What flatbed is that?
I lived full time in my four wheel camper this summer and cooked either bacon or sausage almost every morning for breakfast. Nothing in the camper smells. Having a powerful roof fan is key. Nice setup, makes me miss my 7.3.
Some people push themselves further or go to more remote places because they have Starlink. I don’t have Starlink, but if I were on the road full time I probably would. It’s not evil. It’s how and when you use it.
Funny isn’t it that, when you’re traveling, you realize that there are only three things you really need in life: 1. Shelter 2. Water 3. Food. The rest are not necessities, but luxuries.
Probably the most reliable ford diesel engine which ironically is considerably less reliable than a Chevy or dodge diesel! You have to plug in most 7.3s when it’s 50 degrees outside!
It took me 41 years on this planet to realize the American Dream is dead and gone and was well before I had a chance. I'll watch everyone else churn their hard earned greediness into a broken system while I am comfy in my Honda Fit sleeping wherever I want.

This is why I subscribed to Huckberry - enjoying your videos.
We're stoked to have you on board!
Sick build. People underestimate how much thought, research, resourcefulness and planning goes into building a rig like this.
Absolutely best part of the video is the last scene when Foster is repairing his completely destroyed wheels and we get a quick shot of his Nothing Is Fucked bumper sticker. Great dude, great attitude, great video!
Putting that full-sized spare to good use!
the music fits the situation @ 10:25
I think it's cool of Tim to bring his human on these trips
One of the best episodes so far!
What a guy! Paper towel gas flap is such a move
This dude gets it.
Thank you for doing this video, I've been following Foster for a few years now and the dude just lives the life so many of us dream about and a real inspiration both in his creativity and his outlook on life.
What a great video, H. This man is living not his dream, he's living THE dream
I LOVE THIS GUY, TOTAL GUN TOATIN HIPPIE
Thanks for this! I've been setting up my life inspired by adventure, working to feed my soul. Living in my rig for two months in the winter and one in the summer. There are times when I second guess my decisions, but not today.
Great video, this is why I love UA-cam, getting motivated for experience and demotivated to purchase stuff!
can we have a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the beat to shit canada goose puffy?
Traveling around & taking photos…. Amen

The opening is so true and a great reminder.

Foster is número uno

I liked this guy for his other hobbies before this!!! I really like his attitude in life!!! The Dude Abides
You're such an inspiration. Respect.
So many good quotes were said during this video.
Also his bumper stickers are epic
New SUB here, you are awesome!!! Love it!!!❤❤❤
I see a the truck and I know it’s Foster. I clicked immediately
I’m interested in the name Tim for the dog? Also liked that he pulled open one drawer that had nothing in there.
I love this guy.
buddy's got some wisdom!
That creep can roll!
🌲 so Foster was the og of EDC. Legend
@10:50 framing of "nothing is fucked" bumper sticker with an absolutely fucked wheel. Perfection.
ha that was super well done. Chill dude
Well done old boy
Let's go! What a cool build
Been following his instagram for a while. Favorite stuff was when he was doing stuff in tree houses and skateboard ramps.
Living my dream 😊

We cruise in an 84 Vanagon Westy
Inspiring watch!
Love these videos! what a legend!
Main reason I threw away my stock factory aluminum alloy wheels ... They would bend or crack . I installed steel wheels and never any problems ...
Sick bumper sticker!
Very cool set up! Strong work 💪
The first sentencase is so freaking true... once I'm on the road, I save money...
Enjoyed watching your video.
That's an endorsement for steel wheels lol, i will have to keep that strategy for a trail repair in the back of my mind if i'm ever in the same situation.
The suicide doors look dope with an camper on the back. Makes sense....
Foster is almost as entertaining as Randy Vining of Michael Tubbs' "Without Bound.' Foster is your Randy Vining. Good job. 👍
Awesome attitude and a great individualized, functional rig. 🙏🏻
I have those sandals! Would love to mod with an anti-slip strap like he has done!
What are they? I can't tell
