Mike's tour was the best! I did it a couple of weeks ago. First time visiting and definitely am planning to relocate next year. Had already decided to rent and then purchase to get a feel for all of the different areas. Just came across your channel and your videos are really helpful. Thank you!
Please. Let them move away. We have experienced rapid sad growth. As usual rapid growth can destroy the very ambiance folks relocate in effort to gain. Happening in Charleston. Happening in Gville.
I seen the same real estate bubble when I moved out of Florida. I made a nice profit on my house and six months later the bottom dropped out. I was downsizing paid cash for my house here and had some cash left over but these prices they are getting now are over the top the bubble will burst just hope you can buy low or sell high.
I don’t think this is attitude, but just a question. Greenville is a melting pot of people. But I think there is something to be said for being in the south that changes people for the better :)
@@aubree_lewis I just relocated there from NJ. Simpsonville. I'll bet I'm more conservative than he is. Don't throw us Yankees all into the same pot. SLOT of us move to escape the liberal hell hole we lived in. And No. We all don't bring liberal voting policies with us.
My significant other and I vacation here in January for a month. We're from NYC...this will be our 3rd year. It's great in Greenville. We love the dog parks and the restaurants are great.
@@newdawn7586 cool i'm from nyc as well I was just there on vacation in Aug,this was my 2nd time visiting..My kids love & miss S.C...They enjoyed Unity park.
Such a strange comment. It's not flat. I grew up in southern IL, now that is flat. It is hot, but not as hot as other places in the country. Still not as crowded as other areas. And too many Canadians is a new one to me LOL. My BIL is Canadian.
Texas is hot, a lot hotter than Greenville. Austin, Dallas, Houston...all much more crowded and definitely flat. Greenville is gorgeous and not crowded at all.
@@cocoshayankayvanshafie7425 Florida is Hell on earth, probably the worst place to live outside of most parts of Texas and Louisiana. No sane person would even consider living in those places. South Carolina in general sucks for the most part, it's ugly, dirty, hot, sandy, flat and full of those damn obnoxious Canadians. You would know what I mean if you ever worked in the restaurant business 15 or 20 years ago.
I think it depends on what someone believes is expensive. 🤷🏻♀️ I have some people who have no problem with what rent costs, others that just hate paying rent instead of their own mortgage, and then there are those that will complain no matter what 🤔🤷🏻♀️
I think it's hard for people who have lived her a long time and to go through the change in the area like this. If you need to move happy to help ;)....but in all seriousness, I hear this from people who have lived here their entire life a lot.
Having lived here all my life, I would adamantly say that Greenville is too crowded with people right now and right here. The roads are overflowing with irritated drivers who pay scant attention to the rules of the road. Our present infrastructure (water, sewer, roads) is inadequate for the number of people in the area. The situation is so serious that we have one road (Woodruff Road) that is so congested, that it reminds one of traffic snarls in Los Angeles. That is one area I have not set foot in for fifteen years. Greenville is also overflowing with slum areas on the west side of Greenville. Housing in that area would be equivalent to that of undeveloped third-world countries. Even more depressing is the fact that if adequate housing were available, it would devolve back to its current state because the homeowners simply do not know how to or even care to maintain their property. More influx of new people to Greenville does nothing but exacerbate our current living deficiencies.
This is a common reply from someone who has lived here their entire life. Change is hard. Especially when it's changing how you do life. Do you still like living here or are you looking to relocate because of what you've listed here?
@@aubree_lewis I believe you misunderstood my comments above. I am pointing out the problems of Greenville due to the influx of migration to our region which has taxed our living space to the max. That reality has nothing to do with your implication that I most likely am "aged" and "unable or unwilling to cope" with the changing environmental problems caused by an oversupply of people in the Greenville area. My ability or willingness to accept change is totally unrelated to the undisputed fact of too many people in the same space. Perhaps you could brush up on the elements of factually based arguments when it comes to a simple presentation of facts that any reasonably intelligent person could research for himself.
@@uriahpeep9008 I think you are reading into my comment too much. As I haven't implied or said anything about age, or an unwillingness to cope, those are your words and not mine. Also, as a reasonably intelligent person as I'm sure you are referring to yourself, you will have to note that your response is, in fact, an opinion. I'm sorry that is seems like you don't like this area anymore because of a problem that you can't fix and will continue to occur. I love it and many others do. I think that the local gov'ts are doing what they can, and even though we don't always agree with their decisions, there are active conversations about the growth of our communities and what to do about it. People will continue to relocate here.
What areas do you recommend to move in with middle school age kids ( good school districts) ? We loved overbrook in Greenville . Would love to connect with you we need advices .
Hey!! Absolutely would love to connect! And there are so many great spots to land. My oldest is in 5th grade this year, so I've definitely got some thoughts!

you can give some people everything and they will still be unhappy.
True!

There is nothing we can do to stop the growth. I think Greenville hasn’t done a terrible job with the growth.

Does Greenville have more transplants than locals?
Does it have too many people from PA, NJ, NY and Ohio?
No. It has too many people with your attitude.
I don’t think this is attitude, but just a question.
