I just moved here from Florida and it was THE BEST decision I’ve ever made!! Maybe I’ve just gotten lucky with the traffic but it’s been minimal for me! And the weather?! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I'm so glad you're loving it here! The traffic is only bad for locals who are used to zero traffic. For people coming from more populated areas, the traffic is a breeze! And yes this is the best weather out of all the places I've lived for sure!
My husband and I are looking to move there or surrounding area from Massachusetts.
I plan on moving there this year !! Been looking into areas for about 4 months
That's exciting! What is it about the Greenville area that sold you?
Definitely is on my checklist ☺️
Nice! What else is on your checklist?
Good informative video. Thank you !
Thank you for watching! I appreciate it! 🙏🏿
I live near Greenville..for those looking to retire or for those who want smaller school districts I would recommend branching out to the smaller communities..in the area..keep in mind also the wage is much lower then other states..do ur homework..
That is excellent advice! 👍🏿
Every place has its positive and negative, just move and adjust to the area.
@@eddieBoxer You're right about that!
Ugh are the bugs and Snakes really that bad? That is enough to stop my move.😔 are the snakes in the yards? I have kiddos
@@RCMama05 Me too, no like snakes at al!!
@RCMama05 the snakes aren't bad but you will see them at some point. I've seen about one per year myself. The vast majority are harmless scaredy-cats that will flee when they see you. But yes with as much green space as we have here, you will have your fair share of bugs too. But it's not hard to keep them out the house
Does Greenville have too many New Yorkers and New Jerseyans?
A lot of people from the northeast are moving down here, but I definitely wouldn't say "too many". We get a lot of people from Florida, California, Michigan and many other states so you will meet people from all over
Plz dont keep promoting this quite place. Its getting crowded…
I get where you're coming from. If it weren't for people promoting it years ago, my family wouldn't have found this gem of a city! And I'm so happy we made the move
This is my town and housing for people who have lived here all their lives cannot have decent house, it's meant for outsiders! It's awful! I love my town and do not want to live anywhere else.
Growing cities always have that aspect of being a double-edged sword. Have you checked with a lender to see how much you would be pre-approved for? Mortgage companies have introduced new programs this year to help make home ownership possible for those in growing cities like ours
@@RenaldotheRealtor yes, my realtor gave me a very good mortgage company but have not gotten that far bc I don't want to be so disappointed. I'll keep trying. Thx!
I'm not going to lie bro you kind of sold me. You're hilarious 😂
Haha thank you! I honestly do think this place is amazing though. I've lived in 7 different cities in 3 different states and Greenville is my favorite
If you're black or Latino, don't come here unless you're a conservative and love white people...
I’m looking to move here from NYC.
I have twins they are two years old. & I work here in the Education system in NYC.
I am praying SC would be great for my family and I. I’m just scared because I saw people mention racism in the comments :(
I personally don’t want to move to FL. Everyone is there now
A lot of people move here from NYC and love the change of pace, better weather, and lower cost of living so I think you will too! I can't speak on anyone else's experience but my own, and I'll tell you my wife, 4 kids and I will be living in the Greenville area as long as possible. We moved here from West Texas, and before that I was in Detroit, MI. My family has never had any issues with people around here and I am very grateful that I can say that. Unfortunately there are bad people in every city, and I'm just thankful to report that I haven't personally bumped into any here
Oh my gosh, I can’t believe you moved there from West Texas. How do you like it?
@pamdavis9077 Oh, it's like a whole different world! West Texas isn't bad it's just not for me. I love the natural beauty, climate, and conveniences that Greenville offers. Even though Detroit is my home and i have a ton of Michigan memories, Greenville, SC is my favorite city
renaldo,,, you are hilarious.. I wish I had found your videos earlier... but happy i have now.. I already live here.. just 7 months now.. came for a job.. I came from fl and boston... not sure I was feeling I could make this my home but watching your vidoes now you have made me want to give it more of a chance.. I do not drive but use the bus... horrible system.. I hope the city spends some time on this to help the community and commuting.I walk and ride a bike.. the walkability is ok if you stay on main st.. but the rest is not helpful with out sidewalks, i hope they decide to put some money into the safety of the people...
thank you for your humor.. I will be following you now.. I am looking to rent a one or two bedroom soon. either rent or option to buy if you have any insight on this for me I would appreciate your professional help.. I am in searching of a place... without any dogs... thank you... Keep up the energy...
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos! Yes the city is starting to see how the messed up by not putting sidewalk everywhere so they're trying to retrofit bike lanes and sidewalks now. It will get better but it will take some time.
If you are ok with an apartment, then finding a unit is no problem. If you're looking for a house to rent then it's kind of tough due to the housing shortage here. But I'm glad you're willing to give it a try! Feel free to call or text me and I'll help however I can!
Renaldo, what a great energy you have! Keep up the great work in how you present and the excellent content. After three years of research, Greenville was in our top three for places to retire. Our challenge is that we want a view and more open spaces to look out on. While we love greenery, it is almost claustrophobic in how dense the trees and vegetation are around Greenville. They canopy everything around them, almost darkening the sky.
The area around Unity Park and Falls on the Reedy are great! It is GORGEOUS and spacious in town because of the open areas for planned parks and walkways and water to look out over.
If we wanted a condo in a city, and needed no yard, we would live in Greenville in a snap. We loved the activities downtown with live music and so many fantastic restaurants. The people are friendly--and even beyond surface southern hospitality, they seem especially sincere in the upstate region.
Thank you! And yes, you brought up some valid points! What other 2 places made your top three?
This city seems to have the best of everything. If it’s too busy of a lifestyle for some, there’s always Woodruff where my Brother in law loves and has friends. The snakes, well, probably in the country hopefully for the most part. Thanks Renaldo for presenting a great video !!
@@chrissvenningson1747 I agree with you there! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you appreciate it!
Where are the nice clubs/bars in Greenville will be visiting today.
Downtown on Brown Street and on main street. Juniper, Ink N Ivy, and Group Therapy are really popular
I LOVE CON #5
Thank you Sir❤💯
See ya soon🙏
Well I may not see ya but yeah😂😂😂
Haha thank you! If I can help you with any real estate needs please let me know, then you will see me after all 😅
I see nice things for families with kiddos . Now What is there for grandparents to do?
Send me your email address and I'll send you 35 things for grandparents to do in the upstate. UA-cam won't let me send it here
Renaldo you did an excellent presentation. I love Greenville, when visiting I'm able to do a lot of walking, which is good for retiree. I'm hoping to move there but I'm looking for homes with concrete sidings all around and flat lands like in the Reedy area. Taylors is beautiful especially near lake Robinson but is a bit too hilly. All and all, I love your presentation. Much ❤❤❤
I'm glad you liked the video! Thank you so much! Yes those areas you mentioned are beautiful. Simpsonville and Mauldin are pretty flat and still within 15 minutes of Greenville. Next time you visit, make sure you check out those areas
Very impressive introduction! We just came back from our very initial trip to Greenville and we fell in love with it!!! We pay our second visit as soon as early next year!
Thank you very much! A visit is all it takes to fall in love with this place so im glad you enjoyed it! Are you planning on moving here?
@@RenaldotheRealtorYes!! Will reach out to you when it’s the time!
@@Edwa759 I'll be honored to help!
I want to move to Greenville, SC from Florida and was thinking of renting before buying. I need a great realtor 👀
That's what I'm here for!
Damn this video is amazing. Nah, astounding! Editing, production, and structuring are just 🤌🏻💋And you're hilarious dude 🤣 Music is lively too
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm still testing out formats and content so your feedback is very helpful!
I love Greenville but for retirees it’s gotten too expensive. Here in Taylors the apartment and home building without any planning rhyme or reason aside from quick money is rapidly decreasing the quality of life. I moved here in ‘78 and it was awesome back then and now with Falls Park it’s even better. But now that the word is out it’s getting loved to death. I’m in a 55 plus community that took the landlord to court and we did win the case. But I am not sure what to say if you’re a retiree. At some point in the near future it will be unaffordable, well at least for those who may not have piles of cash 💰 😂
There are some growing pains for sure. But not as bad as other booming cities in the USA
This is occurring across both states
I tried going to visit South Carolina twice. Wayyy too racist for me
@GuruLiving4 Dang what happened?
@@RenaldotheRealtor Nothing happened to me but we were walking along the restaurant /shopping district in Charleston and we kept seeing signs on the restaurants saying we serve all races. I was like huh 🤔 get me outta here
I'm glad nothing happened to you. Yeah it is weird that they would feel the need to post that kind of signage. The Charleston area is completely different than the Greenville area though. We call that the Lowcountry and Greenville is in the Upstate. Feels like a different state sometimes
Oh my! Really??
I am interested i. Buying a home around Greenville next fall
That's great! I would love to have a conversation with you about it! You can text/email me now if you want and I'll give you the inside scoop
Unity Park is okay. It needs trees for shade. Greenville has about 12 months that are much much better for children to enjoy .
More trees won't hurt at all. There are shaded areas, but the park is so huge that it doesn't feel like much
Great Video!
Thank you!!
Soo, the buses run every hour Or every 30 minutes, i really don't have problem waiting for it, as far as reliability schedule, the one thing that's scare me, is the snakes situation, never liked them, never will!!
@EvralTatum-Mcfield-ov2mi you won't see them often unless you live in a rural area. And the 8 most commonly sighted snakes are all non aggressive and non venomous, so they'll try to flee if they see you
Nicely done & very funny con #5 ! As for creatures - all it takes is just some common sense. Snakes will leave you alone if you leave the. alone and watch where you sit and step b/c copperheads are ubiquitous throughout the SE something you get used to. But snakes never chase people so there is never any reason to panic just seeing one. Keep tree branches off and away from roofs to keep raccoons and possums out of the attics. Bugs can be greatly reduced by thoughtful garbage management like putting decomposable waste food cans etc in a freezer till garage days, avoid use of sugar as its fine dust leaves a gradient from source to doorways that ants will use to precisely direct them to the source. There is no reason people and all the creatures of nature cannot coexist given a bit of common sense and reasonable caution. Where coexistence falls apart is where a balanced ecology has been destroyed or made impossible by human development focused on only itself.
@@rogerwilcoshirley2270 I couldn't agree more!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
This is the Best City Intro video I’ve ever seen.
I’ve been looking at places to relocate to for over 3 years, and THIS makes me want to move to Greenville ASAP.
Thanks!!!😊
Wow thank you so much!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
What is it about your current city that makes you want to relocate?
Awesome video, new sub! Now..after watching this video I'm debating between Augusta, Ga and Greenville, SC....lordy! 🤦🏾♀️
Thank you!! So what do you like about Augusta GA?
I moved here from Idaho a few months back and….. I’m not that impressed actually. It’s kinda like a different boise Idaho. Think we will make it back to the beach area.
@Drkbadger7719 Thanks for watching! I've never been to Boise, so I'll have to take your word for it. Are you thinking about moving to a beach within South Carolina?
I'm considering Greenville for retirement this fall. I live in southern Florida in Broward county. The growth in this part of Florida is unsustainable.
Broward county is HUGE now so I don't blame you! So many locals are trying to get out of there. What would your IDEAL retirement home area be like? I'll tell you if it sounds like Greenville or one of it's suburbs
@@RenaldotheRealtor I'm looking for a small townhouse. I'm open to 55+ communities. I won't be ready until the middle of fall.
We don't have as many 55+ communities as Florida but there are some nice ones here. No shortage of townhomes though! If you text me or send me an email, I'll send you the top townhome communities in the Greenville area and keep you updated on them until the middle of fall
It's crooked as hell in Spartanburg
@rwright3395 Is that where you live now?
Greenville’s city fathers got greedy.
What was once a beautiful, thriving boutique city has been turned into another expensive, overcrowded concrete jungle.
I appreciate your opinion, and It depends on what you're comparing it to. Compared to other thriving cities in the U.S. Greenville is far from a concrete jungle
@@RenaldotheRealtorthose the people that wanna put a border on Northern states. They must not know that tax paying Americans are moving from all over to SC. North, South, East and West
Bro please don’t move here
You want to keep it all for yourself?
Great job
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing I am planning on moving there
Thanks for watching! I think it's a great place to live so I'm excited for you!
What's it like in Brownville?
Haha if it existed, it would probably just be the opposite of everything I said here 😅
@@RenaldotheRealtorAh, yes. The "roadside park" is a cornfield. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brownsville,_South_Carolina
Thank you for a great video! I'm planning to retire in 2027 and SC is on our short list of states that we're considering for retirement. We've ruled out my home state of FL, TX, TN, and AZ.
@veronicajackson4868 Thank you for watching! Sounds like you're used to the heat, so you'll probably love it here! 2027 will be here before you know it! I'm here to answer any questions before you make your final decision
