    A friend of mine reported an excessive rise in this cake while baking. This can happen for several reasons. If you notice the batter bubbling after you've finished mixing all the ingredients, let the batter sit in the bowl for about 30 seconds, and then transfer it into the pan to bake. The resting time should be enough to prevent the cake from rising excessively.
