Very helpful because he focus's on the details that matter. He stays on track touching on the important points you need to see to understand the full process. It’s 3:33 in the afternoon and I’m going to attempt to change the headlight bulbs first my sister. I was going to go from the hood to change them until I watched this video. I’ll get right back with you to let you know how I did. Well, I changed the high and low beam headlights in the drivers side. I got a bungee cord to hold the fender welt back. The low beam was pretty easy to change out but the high beam was a little more difficult. There wasn’t as much room to work with and you couldn’t really see what you were doing. I just kept at it and I finally got the high beam changed out. Thank you so much for posting this how to video. It really made a difference. I don’t think I would have got it done otherwise.😊
Thank you very much for the video! Simply the best instruction I've seen here on UA-cam. Changing the passenger side was a bit more challenging than the driver's side since I'm right handed. Thanks again!
Your video saved me 200 bucks from the dealership. Two bulbs were 32 bucks at Auto Zone. Number 20 Star screwdriver. The Gatorade (I did two sizes) tip was invaluable.....giving me all the room I needed. At 70....my arms are thinner so that helps. Your instructions were clear and concise and made the job easier than I could have imagined. I actually looked at 4 videos and ONLY yours made any sense. Kudos for your knowledge and expertise! I generally pay someone (a lot most times)...but you gave me the confidence to give it a try.... I feel a sense of accomplishment....my wife said we’ll put the savings towards a trip to the casino.....go figure 😐😊. From Michigan...(no rain....just snow)....thank you. Mark
That makes every bit of it worth it. I am so happy that I can help someone out. Thank you for the amazing comment and thank you so much for watching my video.
I raised the hood to change my passenger bulb and the only words were WTF! And not abbreviated. Thanks for your video it walked me right through and saved a dealership trip
This video made it super easy to change by bulbs. He explained every step perfectly. The hardest part for me was getting the old bulb out. My light had a different clip then what was shown in the video but after I figured it out it was super quick and easy to do. Thanks so much for all your help.

OMG!!! Thank you so much for this video. I recently bought this car and the bulb went out. Like you i spent hours trying to figure how to change it. I was ready to take it to a mechanic but they were about to charge me a arm and a leg to change it for me. I looked it up on UA-cam and came across your video. Great way on how you explain how to do it and the extra tips you also mentioned in your video. Thank you once again.
This video is awesome. Perfectly described, great detail. I would have never had thought to go this way. Btw, to viewers who are doing the right side, a couple of the directions are the opposite, just keep that in mind. Great video!
@@ModdingAddiction thank you for posting this video. My sister has replaced the bulbs SEVERAL times on her 2014 Traverse, and today I'm ordering her a set of LED's from Techmax. They are direct insertion, shaped just like the bulb you pulled out (just LED strips instead of a filament), way brighter, and I'm on my second year in one vehicle with them, no complaints. Just installed them in the Highlander yesterday, but I expect the same longevity.
Worked. The first one (drivers side) was more difficult than second one (passenger). The clip is a pain to figure out. Rest is easy. Now you need one for high beams. Apparently wives (such as mine) like Traverses.
Great instructions. Hardest part was feeling where the clips were on either side to remove the bulb. That took the longest. Other than that, instructions were simple and the Gatorade bottle worked well. I had a small tray on the driveway to keep everything in to prevent it from rolling around. Thank you very much.
Thank you for a 66 year widow on a tight budget! Tried before and got frustrated, then I saw your video turning the steering wheel and the Gatorade bottle! Wow. Happy and Blessed New Year to you and yours! Now I need to change my shocks😀

A great job explaining set by step directions. I was having a hard time because I was thinking the horn was in the way. Once I realized it wasn't. It took me about 15 minutes from start to finish.
I was dreading having ro change my light bulb because I thought I would have to take the wheel off to get to it. Going to work on this tonight. Thanks!
Last year (2020), my Texas dealer wanted $250 to replace my left side low beam bulb on my 2012 Chevy Traverse LTZ. I'm not a car guy so I found a body shop that would do it for $100. Watched them fumble around with it for 45 min but they finally got it done. 3 days ago (May 2021), my right side low beam went out, ordered ACDelco part for $7.95 on Amazon which came in yesterday. Watched this video and replaced the bulb in about 20 min, 10 min of which was me fumbling the new bulb re-screw-in because I was dead set on doing it backwards. Once I pulled my head out and turned the bulb the other way, it went right in like a charm. All I did was unscrew the 3 Torx 20 screws, pulled the rubber back, inserted a duck decoy instead of Gatorade can, did the rest by feel - easy peasy. Was able to do it by feel by watching how you did it with the flashlight. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!!
I did it!! I can be barely put gas cap on!! Lol thanks sooo much. My husband had little faith .. he said had to take all that stuff under hood . Ty Ty Ty !!
You have save me sir. Thank you so much for a detail video and saving me some money because these dealerships and mechanic shops ripping people off to change a dam lightbulb.
My 2009 Traverse had 7mm hex screws instead of torx 20 head screws. Could have been replaced by someone at sometime. Also my 09 inner fender wrapped under the bumper supports to the front and had two philips head screws that I removed along with a plastic body type pin that I pulled out to let the inner fender pull out better. I did make the mistake of removing the bulb before taking the connector and clip off-fits pretty tight and in a tight place. Take the clip off while bulb is still in makes it a lot better.
After watching your video, it inspired us to do it ourselves. Thanks so much for sharing!!! We were able to complete it in under 20 minutes and save big $. All the best to you!
